Collect Moments, Not Things---

Now isn't the above so true?----- It takes courage--and we have that! ---So-----Son#2, the Air Canada Pilot is back in Toronto--flew all night-- This AM, he sent a new picture of his "BIRD"--the 787  plane-taxying on a runway in Toronto--which he calls YYZ-- (which is Pilot talk for Toronto-) He loves that plane--the one he flies.

To-day is supposedly our last mild day-- so--that means more leaf raking--  and--to-day is Himself's Birthday --He is 94 to-day --a tad mixed up  in his mind-Whenever he loses something, he swears that I took it and threw it out-- It does kinda drive me crazy! ---But it is what it is-- so, I just have to deal with all the "malarkey"---Lord Love A Duck!---Most days I can----but--there are times I do need a good cry as I feel so sorry for myself--Crazy!---I must remember the good times--

 like---  the picture  above--taken yrs ago--  in Jamaica--at Bull's Bay Beach, in Lucea, Jamaica, on one of our visits to Himself's home--The little  boy on the rt, holding onto the dIngy, is Son#1---and--the wee little boy across the dingy from him, with the blond hair, is Son #2, the now Air Canada Pilot--(You have to look closely to see him-- just behind the older boy on the left-)-The other children were all their cousins.   Himself and I would pick them all up and take them to the beach with us- Oh--  I am the adult standing up----

Chinese people usually have a lot of children, who  are expected to help their parents in the parents businesses---so, they don't usually get to go to the beach----When we would arrive for a holiday, we would pick them all up--Himself used to catch crabs on this beach----  teach all these kids  how to do it-- I believe this beach is not like this picture anymore-I heard there is a hotel here now.--I loved going back to Himself's home in Lucea--- They kept geese  which honked when people came over---  burglar bars on the windows--  lotza great food-- maids to  keep up with the laundry-and who were great cooks---and Himself's Mom who was so kind--  They would laugh at son#2--as he was so blond--They would say-"A Blond Chinese"-and then chuckle--

himself's Mother-- such a lovely Lady---and -below-----his Father-I never knew him.

I remember the good times--There were so many over our life together-- so--I try very hard not to "blubber" --- Collect Moments---There were so many!
Good thing we do have "MOMENTS"---Cherish them  ---  They get us thru  to-day's sorrows---

  2. Happy Birthday to your Himself today. And , it is ok to blubber when you need to, Normal and healthy. Frustration needs to be let out. Keep it in, and you could explode, and he would be alone and no one wants the job of dealing with those afflicted with dementia. Hugs to you, Lynda! Doris

  3. A Course in Miracle says, "About the past? Remember only the Love." Too bad you didn't know Himself's father, but at least you have a photo of him. He looks stern. His mom is lovely. She looks like she'd have a great sense of humor.
    It is hard for us not to let loose with tears sometimes. It is said, though, that tears are cathartic. Once we accomplish that release, we feel better...at least for a while. Petting a dog or cuddling a purring cat helps release stress, too.
    Cooler here today, but not as windy. No rain, but it is cloudy. They are predicting a fine weekend.
    I gotta figure how to get my blog posted on your list. I have done the email with my blogspot name...what else?
    Have a great day, dear. Hopefully Himself will cooperate. Is he still wearing his hearing aids? {{{HUGS}}}
