Keep yer Chin Up

I hope your day is going well! --  We had a wonderful dinner last evening at Son #1"s house-Turkey and all the extras-- I took the 3 Pumpkin Pies----  BUT----I woke up in the night with a huge stomach ache--and I knew something was wrong-Little Lopez in his crate beside my bed seemed upset too-I managed to stay in bed till about 5am-- but---  I really felt terrible--  I wonder if some kind of flu is going 'round?--

Lord love a Duck! I can't remember ever feeling so awful!--And we do have a wonderful sunny day here--cold--but a blue sky--  So, even tho I am on the sofa--  I finally am thinking about you all, so, I must be somewhat better!

Hopefully this is a one day thing--and that your day is going well--Are you with people you love?--Are you with  yer neighbours?--  Are you cooking turkey?-- Well, whatever , make it a good day--  Oh I just tried the smile thing--putting a smile on yer face does make one  feel like a part of the world!
--just reading the above makes one   be happy--even when one is sick--  ---Until to-morrow-- "Keep yer Chin UP"----

  1. Oh, Lynda! Hope it is just what they called 'the 24 hour flu!' and not something related to your marvelous dinner! Did anyone else there become ill?
    In the US it is Columbus Day. No mail...many people who still 'work' have the day off.
    Just small chores and shopping here. Feel great. Must do my exercises, though, cuz I only did part of them yesterday.
    Praying for you and keeping you in my thoughts. Good that you're thinking positively! {{{HUGS}}}

  3. Hope you feel better soon. It's the time of year when various "bugs" do circulate, so take it easy on yourself. Calm and healing thoughts wafting your way! For little Lopez, too.

  6. Oh heck, Lynda, hope it isn’t food poisoning, that is no fun, but also not uncommon. How is Himself feeling? Did you feel like staying in bed, with a bowl nearby? Hope you feel better soon. I finally had my big flu shot Friday. You never know about bugs nowadays!

  9. Hope you feel better real soon. It's not nice being sick. Maybe just the 24 hour flu - hopefully. Take care of yourself. Glad you did enjoy dinner first!

  10. I'm so sorry you are feeling lousy. I hope it truly is just a one day thing. It's such a shame after you had such a nice Thanksgiving. I'm not sure yet who all will come to my home for Thanksgiving dinner, hopefully all the kids who are close enough to come.

  12. You know, that happened to me last Tuesday. I ate a frozen dinner and a baked potato then took a nap. When I woke up I was very nauseous, something unusual for me. But hungry enough to have a bowl of popcorn and 4 pieces of "Buckeye" candy. Suddenly I had to hurl! Twice! Very unpleasant, and my ribs hurt for 3 or 4 days after that. I was guessing it was food poisoning, but I don't know really. How sad that that had to happen when you got to enjoy a wonderful family meal! :(
