Ho Ho Ho--- a new day--AND---"-WE" are in it!----- We may as well be happy----not worry--because-
Lopez and I hoofed it up the road already-- his poor wee feet must've been so cold--bare feet---- I have winter boots on--He only has the 4 tiny little tootsies---He doesn't object--but-- I feel bad for him!
I kept my eyes peeled for wild life lurking around us--Only once did he look into the bush and stop and stare, but no growling, so I figured we were OK-
Here were the 2 boys (as in dogs)- after dinner last night, chewing on their bones--It gives me a bit of free time to watch something on TV-(but there was nothing on!)--
This AM, I hope to find 10 minutes to jump on the Treadmill, and walk at a brisk pace-- Yesterday and for sometime now, the old Sciatica in my legs has returned --Usually with some exercise, I can keep it at bay--There is always something isn't there?--
Yesterday Himself cooked Soya Chicken with Shiitake mushrooms , which we had with rice and a garden salad-
It was so good! --and I made banana bread
and now have no more bananas-----which means----- another trip to the grocery store soon!
--Oh well--- Did you know too, that we only have 2 more days until December?- Lord love a duck! -I think I have figured out the gift situation with the grandchildren-- son #2 the Air Canada Pilot, said to not worry about the adults--just gift the Grandkids----different than how I've always done it--but, I suppose everything is different than it used to be!
I see the sun is peeking thru the clouds--- so I guess the day has begun-- Winter is around the corner---I don't believe anyone is going to give us a million dollars-- but--we have heat--and hydro--- and if we smile , and do the very best we can do to-day-- like--be kind to your neighbour --and to a Policeman- (It could be son #3 )---- or buy a coffee for the pilot , if you're travelling (It might be son#2)- or tell the person who fixes yer pipes if they freeze that he did a great job (It could be Son #4)- or, tell the restaurant owner where you get a meal that it was delicious (It could be Son#1)_or if you live in Ohio, watch for the daughter-----There is always a way yu can make someone's day!
We may as well dream a little!

ReplyDeleteIt was a good day today Patricia--Hope it was there too-Lynda
DeleteYour dinner along with dessert looks delicious. Lopez and Beau were also very happy with their dessert. It seems like you had an enjoyable day yesterday. I hope today makes you happy knowing there are so many friends that care.
ReplyDeleteYes--so many carting friends -- so nice!--Such good people--Lynda
DeleteGreat uplifting blog. Thanks! Dorothy
ReplyDeleteAww Dorothy-YU are special!-Lynda
DeleteAwwww, Wee Lopez is a good boy!
ReplyDeleteWow! That chicken and shitake mushroom dish that Himself made looks delicious! And your banana bread.
Ah yes, the bananas are always disappearing, aren’t they! **SIGH**
It really does perk up both your day and the other’s when you say THANK YOU!

Thank yu for being here Barb-- I enjoy your comments-- very much-Lynda
DeleteYour dinner looked delicious and so did the banana bread. Makes me want to cook and bake!!! But prepping for Thanksgiving took a lot of my energy. Maybe tomorrow! My husband is going to the store for me this afternoon and I think I'll put Bananas on his list!
ReplyDeleteyes, banana bread is so easy to make-- and good!-- -- Hugs, Lynda
DeleteOh Lynda, I would have enjoyed that meal, it sounds so good and of course some tea and banana bread after my supper settled down.
ReplyDeleteI've been watching Hallmark Christmas movies, most are pretty good.
Your two boys are looking so good and I don't know the answer for cold feet when Lopez is walking in this cold weather. My Chihuahuas never went out when it was cold. We had a pee pad on the floor of our closed in patio, it was cold out there but they did their business okay like that. Our other dogs we had, all loved winter outdoors. Oh, my hubby would shovel pathways in the snow and our Chihuahuas would use that sometimes but the pee pad worked really well.
I like a banana a day but since my son shops Saturday mornings for me, it's best for him to get me only 4 or 5, they ripen so quickly! And I no longer bake so they have to be eaten.
Love & Hugs to you, Fred, the boys and Sushi. xoxo
Gloria--It's you!--- yes the 2 boys are good-- Little Lopez seems a lot easier now--I am always afraid I'll lose him!--So nice that your son shops for yu-- He must be a nice fellow-We did shop but not a huge order so it was easy to put away-Hugs Gloria-Lynda-
DeleteSupper looks yummy, as does the banana bread! Great minds, I made a loaf yesterday, and my recipe says to cool, then wrap and store it overnight, so I had the first slice for breakfast this morning.
ReplyDeleteAlways a good thing when we wake up and are still here, eh?
Yu are right--is good to get up and see a home made loaf of something on the counter- Lynda
DeleteI’m hungry for just one banana.
ReplyDeleteLOL----did yu go out and buy some bananas?--Lynda
DeleteDinner looks good and so does the banana bread. You both did good work! Have you tried dog booties on Lopez? A lot of dogs don't like them and won't wear them like mine! Go and relax and have some banana bread.
ReplyDeleteThe Booties never worked for the Shepherds-- I should try them tho for Lopez--takes time to dress this wee dog-- which seems so weird---good idea tho-Lynda
DeleteYour banana bread looks perfect AND the soya chicken looks delicious!!
ReplyDeleteThe pups look content with their bones…hope that you found at least 10 minutes “you time” today! ❤️ Eissa7
To-morrow --I shall find time for "me"--I hope! --LOL-Lynda
DeleteLoved your inspirational messages today. Your supper looks great, nice job Fred, and so does the bananna bread. Yep, you'll have to go get bananas soon. Seems I do that about every other day.
ReplyDeleteSure. Just gift the grandkids...change is OK. I'm definitely cutting back on the total I spend. I don't have grandkids...toys for granddog. Sons girlfriend has 2 kids so I will give them money and money for son
I have a few gifts for sons girlfriend. I'm calling it done. I got a heavy sherpa lined shirt for hubs and he's already wearing it. I'm calling that Christmas as we don't exchange gifts.
Find time for YOU to relax. Treadmill is GOOD. I'm not able to go to gym right now and really miss it.
Hugs
Your ideas about xmas shopping sound identical to mine--and I never got to that treadmill-- but -there is always to-morrow-- Lynda LOL
DeleteI wish I had a treadmill but I know if I did mention it, David would tell me to go buy one.....I did buy him a chair for Christmas, he has been having a lot of swelling in the lower legs and feet, so this chair is automated and will lay him back on a heated back with massage and raise his feet above his heart....better circulation....
ReplyDeleteWe will most likely just give to the grands and great grandson...the one with the great grand girls is being very bad n has said some terrible things, so I figure they will not come to see any of us when we go for Christmas......have a great week and Freds meal looked great.
I went back to the dr. today, 2 more shots.......I hope this croupy mess leaves soon, I sound like a frog. Will watch out for your boys1-4 and the wee girl in Ohio ..............lol
Yes, it will be December in 2 days now. Then I get a wee bit more $ for groceries. Not enough for bills. I am happy I qualify for help on my electric bill (Is that what you call 'hydro'?).
ReplyDeleteI have asked you before, do you pub petroleum jelly (Vaseline) on the dogs' paw pads before you go outside with them? It basically wears off before they come in...but it really protects those little pads. You might watch for cracks in those paw pads to be sure they are okay.
I can send very few gifts anymore. My dream is to win the lottery and be able to send nice gifts to my four kids and their spouses as well as all 11 grandkids and a few friends here in my building.
Hard, though, unless you buy lots of lottery tickets, and I can't do that.
Sigh. {{{HUGS}}}
