Lopez looks so cute in his parka and I can imagine with the cold weather coming it make him feel nice and warm. I also think that this Christmas there will be a lot of cutbacks in spending. It isn't what you spend that counts it is the thought. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteI guess we are all in the same situation--cutting back at Xmas-- Hugs-- Good to hear from you-""Keep a stiff upper lip-- ""--=Dad used to say that--Funny it just came across my brain too tell yu that--Now isn't that weird? Lynda
DeleteGood morning Lynda,
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear you took the bull by the horns and resolved your worrisome situation. Worry really solves nothing. We can't control a lot of things, including other people, so we can only change the things we can, which is usually ourselves and our thoughts on the "thing".
Christmas gifting will likely be cash. Im really not into shopping and trying to figure out what others might love...thats tough.. And, it will have to be less. Yes food certificates are a gift I'd appreciate. It is sometimes difficult to know what to fix, get the supplies and then fix it.
We have a dusting of snow. Ugh.
Hoping your day goes well. At least your yardwork has ended. Play your piano. Enjoy today.
Love your positive attitude. I look forward to your daily blogs. Thank you
Hugs
Well Margene-- WE might as well be happy eh?--- And yes, I would appreciate food vouchers-- with $$ for the Grandkids- I see Toronto got quite bit of snow- Nice, as always to hear from yum-lynda
DeleteThere are barely 4 of us left, grandson will get the fun stuff, the rest money or food gift cards. So won’t spend much, regardless. Grandson will be 12 Christmas Eve, son will be 44 Christmas Day, so birthday stuff, too. I’m glad you are feeling good! Enjoy your whole day, both of you!
ReplyDeleteI think we ave fortunate to be alive---in this world!-- And I hope yer day today is good-Lynda
DeleteWell, glad that you had a troublesome situation solved! Hurray. Cute pic of Lopez in his parka. Looks nice and cozy warm
ReplyDeleteOH definitely cutting back. If I cannot think of exactly what to get, then I will get a gift card that can be used for whatever the heart desires. For sure, too, the issues faced as we get OLDER are definitely understood more when WE get older.
Definitely have to create our own sunshine today as there is absolutely no sunshine in sight, and in the foreseeable future, either. So, got that smile on!
HUGS and blessings
barb
Well Barb --datrk and dreary here today--but-- Himself seems OK--so it is a good day-Hugs-Lynda
DeleteAwww, Lopez looks so handsome with his parka. We will be cutting back on Christmas gifts a lot. I'm glad you came to that conclusion after worrying so much. Have a beautiful day!
ReplyDeleteYU know Patricia, think we all will be cutting back on gifting this Xmas-and ,maybe that is good-Lynda
DeleteHappy to hear that you solved your worries yesterday! I know how hard it can be to do certain things and I, too, worry about things and then find out that all that worrying didn't solve or help anything! Now if I could only remember that the next time I have an issue! haha! Love Lopez's parka! He looks like an eskimo! :-)
ReplyDeleteLopez is a trouper eh go go out in the awful cold--AND do his business-- I worry about everything Sandra--and I hate being that way too-Lynda
DeleteDo they make dog boots small enough for Chis? Wonder of you could get Lopez to wear them?
ReplyDeleteMy immediate family is jut my sister and me, and we stopped gifts a few years ago. Only ones I have to buy are for the work gift swap. I was buying for sis's two grandsons but didn't last year. Don;t know if I will start back this year or not. All they want now is video game stuff or fast food gift cards, and I refuse to buy that as that's all they do when not in school. 12+ hrs a day on the weekends and however much they can fit in before and after school. That's not healthy, and I refuse to participate in it. If that makes me a bad great aunt, sorry.
Yu are not a bad great Aunt--Poor yu!-- I will look and see if they make wee tiny Chihuahua boots --Lynda
DeleteI really only have to buy for my granddaughter. . . she is 7. Our children are grown and hard to buy things for . . .some are minimalists and the others are very picky. I hate giving money . . .it feels like taking the easy way out but I am thinking this year they all get money.
ReplyDeleteGetting cold in NH . . . we're supposed to get our 1st snow of the season tonight and tomorrow. . .1 - 3 inches then back to rain. Yuk.
I find the old kids want $$$$ --- WE might get snow tomorrow--Lynda
DeleteWe have slightly more than a whiff of snow. No more for a few days, though.
ReplyDeleteLopez looks so cute in his parka! I am pretty sure that he wouldn't let you put the hood up to protect his head.
Christmas giving? Usually to my best friends here, and my close by family (daughter, son-in-law and grandson). I hope to win the lottery so I can send gifts to the rest!
Everything seems to cost more. In the US we are getting a bit more in our Social Security checks, but it won't nearly pay for the increases in everything else.
We deal, don't we? And keep in mind all our blessings, trust in ourselves and our Spiritual guidance.
Worrying really doesn't help. And most of the things we worry about never happen. If they do occur, they're not nearly as bad as we were afraid they'd be.
Looking forward to spring...{{{HUGS}}}
Well, yu made me LOL_with yer lottery winnings--LOL--- and yu are right----Lopez will not let me put the hood up on his Parka- How did yu know? Everything costs so much more now here too- I always appreciate yer comments- Lynda
DeleteIt's been snowing here since Sunday night and we have about 3-4 inches. But some of it is melting because the ground is still warm. Daisy's not real happy about it but maybe she'll be less anxious to go outside every hour or so. It seems whenever I sit down to relax she decides she has to go out - then she just smells a bit and comes right back in. Guess she needs the attention!
ReplyDeleteWell, I think that snow is moving up here--They say snow for the next few days-Lynda
DeleteAmen...Donna_cps2
ReplyDeleteLopez looks cute in his parka. He's getting better! I am a worrier too - especially at night and either can't get to sleep or wake up and start thinking and can't get back to sleep. We got snow today and are supposed to get more tonight - hate it! Have a good evening and no worrying!
ReplyDeleteBrenda--Yu sound just like me-- and when I wake up so early before I get out of bedc, I go over everything I must do for that day-- I hate being like this too-- It all began when Himself developed Dementia and I had to take over- Lynda
DeleteLooks like I'm not the only one who thinks Lopez is a dapper dude in his parka! Christmas spending? Eesh, I'm afraid Rubia's surgery might put a crimp in it! That's tomorrow morning. I have both cats locked inside the house now and all their food put away because Rubia has to be fasting to be "put under" for her procedure (lump removal). What are you going to do... food, roof, and pet care, and human medical expenses, too... priorities.
ReplyDeleteso many priorities aren't there?-- I hope Ribia's surgery turns out right-- Hugs Barb -Lynda
