Doncha jess wish eh??-- I'm a homebody tho-- I love my home--- I love being home-- I do believe that one must travel somewhat tho, to appreciate being home.--
This is Nov. 27th----Did you know that to-day is "National Bavarian Cream Pie Day"---thanks to a French Chef, Marie -Antione Careine--??-- It is also "International Shift Worker Sunday", also, the "First Sunday of Advent", --and on this day in 2005, the world's First successful partial face transplant took place----but---to me to-day, it is a few weeks before Xmas-- We have a cloudy day outside, with a promise of snow flurries maybe later on --
I wonder what you are all doing to-day-- on this Sunday?-- cleaning?---going for a walk?---with your dog?-- going out for dinner?--reading a good book--?---resting on the couch?-----Shopping?---Driving back home from somewhere?--- Is Sunday a day of relaxation for you?-
Himself has lunch ready-- and the 2 boys (as in dogs)_ need to go out-and the sheets are off our bed-(-I always try to change the bed on a Sunday)-
Today I'll be going over next door to my neighbors to help her decorate for Christmas, and visit awhile with her. She's 89. Sunday is usually a rest day for me, before I have to go back to work. I have been oh so excited, and nervous, b/c I am getting all new flooring on Weds. Vinyl plank flooring. The carpet in this condo is over 20 yrs old and is torn and ripped. But I'm nervous b/c when I got it out and looked at it, I'm not sure I will like it. It's a light gray. Anyway, Monday and Tuesday can't go fast enough at work!
ReplyDeleteOh yu are so smart--Our catpet has holes in it from puppies chewing it--The plank floors look healthier! Lynda
DeleteEnjoy your lunch! Today I have a loaf of banana nut bread in the oven, and it is my intent to finish decorating the tree. This morning I packed up my shirt "sides" to send off to have another quilt made. As a kid, Sundays were church and then a chance for time with Dad.
ReplyDeleteYes, Sunday we went to Church too-Lynda
DeleteHope you enjoyed a pleasant lunch, made by Himself, how nice. I remember washing hair on Sunday night, too! Watching Ed Sullivan tv show, going to school Monday. Also remember going to work Monday, traffic was always worse on a Monday. Week went by slowly, back then. Now time seems to fly by. Hope you have an enjoyable day.
ReplyDeleteYes Ed Sullivan show --Wed Always watched that Sunday night-Lynda
DeleteI'm a homebody. Haven't gone anywhere for maybe 10 yrs. with husbands health limitations. I used to love to go but now I'm content to stay home. Housework, laundry done and got bananas and a few things at store. Raining here so I'll read the Sunday paper...a rate treat..and maybe write out just a few Christmas cards. House is decorated as much as I'm going to decorate.
ReplyDeleteLove that.Fred made lunch. Awesome. Enjoy your book and a nap.
Love to you both and Beau,Sushi and Lopez.
Hugs
You are a home body too?-- Good ! Lynda
DeleteMy parents anniversary was the 1st of December and my oldest sisters birthday is the 6th so in our house when we were kids decorating for Christmas couldn't start before the 1st but must be done by the 6th . . .so weird the things that stick with us from our childhood. We are having a warm day though not as sunny as yesterday. It is supposed to rain here tonight and no snow this week . . yippee!
ReplyDeleteYes, we remember what we did as kids-- So good to hear from yu-Lynda
DeleteI always rest on Sundays. When I worked all week, cleaned sll day Saturday, done laundry and got groceries, Sunday had to be my day to rest and do it all over again. We are picking up dinner this evening. Haven’t ate in a restaurant since before the pandemic. It is a rainy, dreary day here in Ohio. Great for resting and enjoying my coffee. Hope you’re having a wonderful day. I know you enjoy Sundays, as well!:)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are enjoying a wonderful day--Lynda
DeleteGloria I knew you would enjoy being home-- like me!--Hugs-- I enjoy yer comments--Lynda
ReplyDeleteThis is my last day to be in CA with my youngest son and his family! The weather is sunny and warm! I have loved being here with them this week! I fly home tomorrow. We walked to church and then went to a nice brunch and afterwards walked through the Farmer's Market and bought fresh eggs to bring home. Now we are all relaxing on the patio and enjoying the sunshine! I hope you are having a great Sunday too!
ReplyDeleteSo that is where yu have been?-- Isn't it nice that yu can visit your son?-- And your home will look good when yu get there All rested-Hugs Sndra, Lynda--
DeleteI went to church this morning, my husband is learning to use the sound board for the band so he had a great day! Then I took little Daisy for a nice walk - a little chilly but not too bad. And when I got back I sat and read a good book. So I've had a really great day today! Sounds like you have too!
ReplyDeleteOMG--so happy that you and Daisy got out--A walk makes such a difference to one's head!--Sounds like a lovely Sunday! Lynda
DeleteI enjoy sewing on Sunday afternoons. My husband looks for sports on tv, so we both get to relax our own way. These days, due to physical limitations we watch tv Mass on Sunday mornings instead of going out to church. It’s been a pleasant day here at my home in MA. We’re having heavy rain tonight. I’m glad Fred helps out with meals, it’s so nice to have a break from having to do so much. I look forward to your blogs everyday.

What did I do Sunday? Well, after having a ball Saturday night at karaoke, not much. Get home late, sleep in late, the day is quite gone.
ReplyDeleteI keep checking in with my daughter cuz her husband, my son-in-law, and and her son, my grandson are ill after our Thanksgiving get together. I hope they don't blame me for brining over germs.
A day at a time...and we will get to spring. {{{HUGS}}}
