As if you didn't know eh?--It is a marvellous new day--coolish--frosty--- sunny--and, LOPEZ did his business--already! --- I spoke to son #2 the Air Canada Pilot who is out in LA---and to daughter in Ohio--who got up the same time as me--5am! Now isn't that a crazy time to get up?--"Dark as the Ace of Spades"--as Mom used to say--- but-- you see, I woke up--because 5am now used to be 6am all summer-- Lord Love a Duck!--- I think we should stay on Daylight Savings Time-forget about all this changing of the clocks-I like the look of this wee fella--DETERMINATION for sure! --Yu don't mess with him! ---- His message-- of--"Do The Best You Can"-- seems like a good way to start the day--There are days that I feel I will never get thru the day--- I must remember always to just do the best I can! ---one can't do any better than that! Yesterday I made applesauce --- I use a Foley Food Mill-- after cooking the cut up apples, with their skin on them-- then put the cooked apples into the Food Mill--crank it--over a big dish, and it separates all the skins--add sugar--and voila-- Mom used to make applesauce that way--in fact, I have her Foley Food Mill-I put some in a big dish for supper and the rest in sealers in the frig---
We have 2 bananas --- So, I am trying to not shop for groceries yet-----It would be nice to just stay home --doncha think?--Sadie (who, as yu know-is me!) always has a lot to do in this house and she would welcome being here--and-maybe I'd even get to play the piano--
The breeder where we bought Lopez texted me yesterday-has another litter of pups-- wondered if I wanted one-- LOLOLOLOL-----like------NOOOOOOOOOO! ----- Any of yu want one--? They look cute---4 little Chihuahuas -------lots of work--- big time! ---So, I am off of here--time to get on with this day-- We are a part of it!---what are your plans for to- day?
I wish I could be out somewhere I like in the U.S. right now! LOL There should be a daily fresh banana delivery to our doors. When will that happen? One can dream! Awww, they look so cute. No more pets for me. Too much work, a lot of satisfaction. 7 is enough. Have a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteThe bananas delivered sounds good-LOL-Lynda
DeleteNo pets for me either, too old to take good care of them and when I pass, none of my children would take them. Those puppies are really sweet though and I do love Chihuahuas, very much!
ReplyDeleteThe change of time never seems to affect me, at least I don't think it does, lol. I wake up when I've had enough sleep, I guess my body is it's own alarm clock, lol.
A niece is coming this morning for a visit so off I go again.
Enjoy your day, my friend.
Many hugs and lots of love to you, Fred and your fur babies xoxo
The pups look so cute--bit-so much work-- LOL-Lynda
DeleteThe puppies are cute but I am not tempted. There would have been a time that I was but not anymore. I find that I can't get as much done each day as I was able to a few years ago but I am always pleased with what I can do. I would like to know who started the saying golden years because I don't really agree. Lol
ReplyDeleteNo These years are challenging-- Lynda
DeleteNo puppy for me. In the old days, maybe, but now I am happy with my cat.
ReplyDeleteWe do need to imagine, though. The only thing in your 'poster' that I disagree with. Visualizing our lives the way we want them to be, and believing they can be that way, is one way to make our dreams come true!
I have a couple bananas but am considering going out to vote. It is mid terms elections here. Don't know much about MN politicians, though. I'd probably vote for all running in my favorite 'party.'
Is that your piano? It's lovely. I took piano lessons for a while, but had to quit. My step-father didn't like to hear me practicing. Later my husband got me a Yamaha keyboard. What fun I had with that! The kids and I would sing with it for hours. It was easy for me to pick out tunes. We'd do patriotic songs, folk music, Sesame Street tune, etc.
Time for me to attend to this little boy (Lucky) now. He is crying and running around. Wants me to get out his wand (like a fish pole) with the bug on the end for him to chase.

Your cat sounds adorable-- Lynda
DeleteNo thank you on puppy. I'm too old to tackle that and Lopez has been a very hard learning curve lol
ReplyDeleteUp at 5 for me too. Sure don't like how early it gets dark in evening.
The bananas I had at home are rotten by now as I've been with hubs at hospital for a week. Life is difficult right now.
Yes, please play your piano.
Enjoy your day.
Hugs
It is amazing how many of us get up at 5am-- How is year husband doing?- Lynda
DeleteThose puppies are adorable! And your applesauce looks delicious. My husband and I just voted - that's my big plan for today. I have a book I'm trying to get through so I think I'll read a bit. I'd like to take little Daisy for a walk but the winds are just howling. Last time we walked in the wind it was pretty hard! So maybe we'll just go outside and play for awhile! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThe puppies look cute--- but--so much work-Lynda
DeleteOh my! I can hear your laughter @ the breeders query if you would want to have another chihuahua! They do look cute, though.
ReplyDeleteYour applesauce looks yummy!
Here’s to a day doing the best we can. That’s all we can do, right!?!

Needless to say--we turned her down---LOL_Lynda
DeleteI have been trying to adjust to the time change . . . in the Summer I get up at 7 and the past 3 mornings I have been waking at 6:30 . . . eventually I will get my body clock to match the regular clock. We have a 100 lb Newfoundland so that is all the dog we need or want. I would never get a little dog anyway. Love my big Floofy dog. I also voted already today! My work is done for the day. LOL
ReplyDeleteThat time change mixes me up--Yer big dog sounds delightful-Lynda
DeleteMy kitties might eat one of those Chihuahuas alive. I don't know as I put in my blog about the adventures on Saturday when Rubia brought a bird into the house. Thankfully, it was already dead and when I sqealed at her to "put it down", it just lay there on the floor for me to put on my latex gloves and dispose of. Those puppies don't look any bigger than that bird!
ReplyDeleteI'm just home from today's errand: taking the car in to get its oil and filter changed before Winter sets in, and of course the usual checks of tires, and fluids and battery strength. Dexter (the car) is doing just fine!
Oh, and I get up when I wake up if it's anywhere close to 5 local time. But then I go to bed early, too.
That sounds like here Barb--We are early to bed--early to rose-- makes one wealthy and wise-- or--something like that--Lynda
DeleteWe purposely chose KC the Sunshine Dog (Maltipoo) at age 3 (now 9) when we were in our late 60's because we were not up to training a puppy but sorely missed having a pet. Also, having had a dog that lived 16 years followed by one that lived 18 years we are hoping that we will outlive him. A nephew that was a prospect for taking him if necessary has moved on with his life which does not involve a dog.
ReplyDeleteIn an effort to add a companion for KC since he loved playing with a neighbor's dog that has since passed, we took in a second Maltipoo, Baily, (told age 8, but actually 10 or 11), now 13 or 14. They are like oil and water with some playful moments ever so often -- mostly compete for their humans' attention. KC, male, is a pretty chill dog that loves his belly rubs and Bailey is quite the covert passive-aggressive female always looking to be pack leader of the household. Given their ages now the vet bills have been piling up which sometimes causes us to second guess our decision to add Bailey to the household. Some family members have advised getting rid of her but that is not happening and I ask if they would give away an errant child (we have no children) their eyes roll.
I think that you both are really mazing--taking on more canines--and doing it well--Thdey sound like delightful dogs-- Yu must be good parents-Lynda
DeleteHope you enjoyed your day! I got through an MRI, have claustrophobia, so it was quite a feat. Take care, Lynda! Doris
