You are not too old and it's not too late.

This is Sushi--the feral cat who I brought in from the cold--in December--It was minus  something awful outside-- the cat who lived under our bed for 3 mos., the cat who I could only touch with a long back scratcher--Sushi still lives on the upper level of this house, but every night, 2-3 times, himself and I feel her jump onto or bed-- and over she comes to my side--and jumps onto my chest, purring up a storm.--She has had all her shots--and is neutered-(Is that the correct term?)----I cannot imagine not having her-- she doesn't ask much---justa warm bed , a cat tree, and lotza food--
I read in our local paper that the shelter for stray animals is condemned-- What on earth will they do with all the strays they "sheltered" in there?-  It was financed with donations before--Hopefully the city will take it over .

I hear gasoline prices are going up to-nite-AGAIN--- The teachers are on strike also province wide-Maybe  housewives should go on strike -How would this world ever exist without Moms (Housewives)-keeping families going?---Maybe we need a wage?----  Lord love a Duck!  That certainly would keep the books balanced in  our homes!

Well, I shall try to clean the kitchen this AM--my one more room-- At least I am down to the main level!---Lopez  has done his business-Beau too--and I hear Himself  who sounds like he is breaking out the vacuum--

I need to read the above several times- Yu see, Halloween  was such a set back for me- The chocolate bars I devoured looked small, --but (Isn't there always that big "butt"?)- when you eat 10 of them,  your brain is stuck in that sugar mode--- I must get on track -because I did stumble-- --What is done, is done-

- I hear that Son#2, the Air Canada Pilot is off to Britain to-night-  -kinda sad because he cannot see the Queen-- King Charles is busy with Camilla --He probably will not even go to the Palace-I wonder if Camilla eats  all the candy over Halloween?--  So much to think about---  LOLOL
To-day IS my favourite day-- because I shall make it that way-- Ever onward here--- It really is a good day to have a great day------stay strong-- Get out there a make it a perfectly smashing day!

Oh my gosh! That is such terrible news that the stray animal shelter is condemned! *SgIH*

    Safe travels to son #2.

    You’re right . . . you’re never too old and it’s not too late!

    Here’s to a good weekend.

  4. I have lots to do today our one and only granddaughter is coming tomorrow for an overnight . . . she is 7. I love it when she comes and am exhausted when she leaves. Fun times and memories to make.
Beautiful pick of Sushi. Get rid of that remaining candy and get back on track . . . you have done so well since our Spark days.

  5. I like the sayings today. Yes, get rid of any chocolate you have left to keep you out of trouble! Nice day today and supposed to be a nice weekend - probably the last this year until spring! Enjoy

  6. Have an awesome great day, Lynda! It's Friday! The weekend is almost here! And Sushi is so lucky to have you taking care of her.

Rubia and Prisoner send their purrs, but will likely avoid "the boys". They are choosing to be indoors today because it's actually behaving like November outside today! But it can still be our favorite day.

  7. My kitties Suki and Sadie send purrs to Sushi. I just love how she comes to visit you at night when you're sleeping and it's safe (not a lot of petting to endure, lol). I had a post-Halloween plan for the leftover candy, but like you I ate more than I'd planned -- paid for it the next morning with a sugar hangover, a bad mood, and an upset stomach. That was enough for me! I am over it. I'll stick with my daily small ration of dark chocolate going forward, special and satisfying. No point in punishing yourself for a one-time relapse -- tell yourself, "Oh, well," forgive yourself and move on.

  8. I DO love Fridays, it just still feels like a day to be celebrated even though it's pretty much the same as every other day now. I have a very old cat that was my mother's before she passed away over 16 years ago. Sheba used to sleep with us but she wants to be fed at 5 a.m. and I'm not a fan. Now that she's gotten so old she hangs around with Daisy and me wanting to be on my lap all the time. If she would settle in and purr that would be okay but she walks back and forth, can't find a good spot!

  10. Sushi is very similar to the kitty I had to have put down just before I left Chicago 5 years ago. He was 17 with kidney disease.

We need to believe every day is our favorite day! Tomorrow isn't year yet and yesterday is already in the past.

I still haven't eaten any bitty candy bars, but I did have my favorite breakfast: Peanut butter Oreos dunked in my coffee. Yum!

It's good that Himself helps Sadie (you) with the vacuuming. I trust he does an adequate job.

I did mine Wednesday. Washed floors, too.. Today is lugging my garbage and recyclables down the floors for the garbage/recyclable men to take (never saw a woman on their team).

Gas prices here went down around $.12. Haven't checked today. I am sure they will go up before our Thanksgiving. Everyone who provides the gas needs money for their own family's Thanksgiving.

I don't know if my daughter will invite me to their home or if it will be another one here by myself with my Lucky cat.

    Either way, I am grateful for what I have EVERY day. {{{HUGS}}}

    2. See my FB page. When I moved her, I couldn't even pay shelter fees to get a pet. Another resident had Lucky (she named him...I am the one who is lucky!) and wanted to get rid of him. Word was she abused him terribly. Now his life is filled with love.

  11. Good morning Lynda! I'd like to vote for pay for the housewives 😉 I certainly think we deserve some pay!! But I can promise you, no one does our chores to our liking. I've tried.

I didn't buy any Halloween candy this year. We don't have trick or treaters here. I slipped Christmas a year ago when I made cookies and candy for friends and family. Of course, I ate too much of it and I'm still trying to get the weight back down. I'll keep working on it...we have to remain strong!

Hope you and Himself have a nice day 😊

    Poor animals..
Nice and sunny in St.Louis. Mild temps with rain expected over weekend.
    Love your sayings/inserts.
At hospital all week as DH had major surgery Tuesday. Praying we'll get the needed results as there were complications and talk of another procedure. Prayers for Ed appreciated.
