It is so hot out--The AC is running--- We have bright sunshine with lotza mosquitos--The dogs were both out--and BOTH did their business--so, the day has begun--
The Grandchildren will all be out--at the dock, this afternoon--with their dogs--- Last night's dinner went well--roast beef, gravy, salad and fresh corn ----Desert was watermelon or ice cream--roast Beef sandwiches for lunch to-day---probably with lotza junk food at the dock for all--
I heard yesterday that one of our neighbour's property, could be the reason that we have had no offers on this house----From the lake, where boats pass, to me, it does look like a disaster--The only time we see it however, is when we are at our dock--and I try not to look over there-- and I don't believe there is much we can do about that----is there?-----I cannot say too much more, but, when I was told that, it broke my heart----(That is the bad news)--The good news is, maybe staying in our home is a good thing right now---Who knows????
Life goes on and on---and one does what one can, to survive, and carry on, and pray that the good Lord will watch over us--and keep us strong----you people in the US have your holiday to-morrow---July 4th--Ever nice! ----It is summer----I hope you enjoy your day to-day----
Maybe God has a reason for you to be where you are right now! He sure moves in mysterious ways. Love, Dorothy
ReplyDeleteHe sure does Dorothy-but--it really is OK__for now-Lynda
DeleteSounds it will be a great day out on the docks with all those grandkids! And yes - there is a reason you are still in your home! So happy you are content to just "go with the flow" for now!
ReplyDeleteYes Sandra--"-I go with the flo" for now--- There must be a reason I am still in this house which I love-Lynda
DeleteNice day with the kids. Dinner sounds yummy. Maybe ask realtor about the no offers. They sometimes have tips bout that. Happy Canada Day💥😍🇨🇦

Dinner last night sounded delicious. Happy to hear DD and grands arrived safely. Grands on the dock is a summer tradition. I'm happy its continuing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful prayer. Thank you.
Things happen for a reason. Its not the right time yet. You are both content in your home and have nowhere to go so enjoy your home.
Sorry about the mosquitoes. Does your daughter's dog get along with Beau and Lopez? Beau seems easy going but Lopez is another story.
Enjoy the dock and all the grands that can make it over.
Hugs
Oh my . . . sounds like a busy household. Nice to have the grandkids there. Your meals sound delicious!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that prayer to St. Therese.
AS has been said, trite as it may sound, there’s a reason you’re where you are. Can’t hurt to ask the realtor if there’s anything you can do, but doubt there is.
Hugs and enjoy your family.

It's Kathy. It's a shame if that is the reason why your house isn't selling but yes, what can you do with neighbors. For years we had a rather peaceful community but things have changed. The lady next door has decided we're trying to take over her property line - after living next door to her for 38 years! Next to her is a man who burns almost every day. He's cut down most of the trees in his back yard. We may as well be living in a forest fire for how bad the smoke is. And next to him are people who love to party! Enjoy your afternoon with the grandchildren!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda: Sounds like you're going to have a couple of busy weeks with family. Re the neighbour's property, there are usually processes that cities, townships, etc have for people that don't look after their property. Like it's run down, backyard is full of garbage, grass is never cut, etc. Once a complaint is received they contact the resident about the issue without indicating who complained to have the situation rectified. Your realtor can probably give you more info about that. And maybe it's a sign that you should be staying where you are! Have a good day. Brenda
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you and your family. Together with those we love is the best!
ReplyDeleteIf people are not, well, stupid, even though they approach your property from the lake, they should know which property is yours. Or maybe, they think it's the run down property that the owner is trying to get rid of?
Hot again here, too still hazy. I have the A/C on, too. Aren't we lucky to have it, though, compared to the 'old days'?
Our Independence Day is Tuesday. Hopefully we will still get mail on Monday.
Time for me to exercise and meditate. Think I'll call my daughter first. Will check this later as always. {{{HUGS to all }}}
Good for you enjoying a nice dinner with the family. Can't forget the dessert! LOL You know we love our ice cream and Sundays, right? Hot and rainy in Ohio this afternoon but has cooled down this evening and I opened the window to hear my birds. Raining tomorrow too but nice on Tuesday for the July 4th holiday so we can have a little picnic. Everything works out for a reason so it will all be OK with your house either way. At least for now like you say. Hope it cools down for you and the mosquitos calm down. Enjoy the dock fun! Have a wonderful week ahead and don't forget to rest!
ReplyDeleteGlad you have family there for the Canadian Holiday... and I'm hoping for a quiet 4th tomorrow! The big local fireworks show is tonight, but I'm a good six miles from it, and plan on staying home.
ReplyDeleteMarti here. No post today (Monday), hopefully you're just enjoying yourself too much to post! Ohio here as well. Been hot, and wet and scattered t-storms. On the spur of the moment I decided yesterday to go see a movie at 6:30, and just remain in the parking lot afterwards for the fireworks nearby. As I left the theater at like 8:15, it started to just pour buckets! But it all cleared up and we all saw the fireworks just great! It was just me, but I enjoyed myself very much. I mostly stayed in the car until the fireworks started. Today I had to work, and tomorrow I get off, then I have a stress test procedure on Weds that doesn't sound very fun. It'll be a topsy turvy week, on, and off, and on again! My man is coming for the holiday tomorrow. Can't wait, but I've been sneaking holiday food since yesterday! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a lovely dinner...and the kiddoes will be out. Sorry about the junky neighbors house and also the skeeters.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week anyway.
