Our daughter will be out later--- She is staying an extra day--so, will leave to-morrow--NOT TO-DAY! --I am already dreading saying "so long" to her---- I know I shall cry--
Last night, we all were out to Son#1's restaurant---for dinner-- There were so many of us around a huge table--Son #2 and his family had already left--
To-day, I hear that the interest rates in Canada are going up AGAIN--- which means , balancing the books, will be even more difficult--Lord love a Duck! ---As terrible as it is, I still seem to buy foods that I end up throwing out-- maybe I buy too much of some food that we don't like--somehow that will have to stop--This morning, I tossed out a container of cottage cheese, which was way way over the expiration date--I think I forgot it was in the frig--- Do you find this happens to yu?--spoilage----
Well, we have had 2 whole days with Lopez , the Chihuahua, not turning into Cujo----I am trying very hard to deal with this tiny dog--We put a life jacket on him yesterday and dipped him into the lake-- He is a good swimmer---
Glad that your DD decided to stay and extra day. That will be lovely. Glad that you could enjoy dinner together last night @ your DS’s restaurant.
ReplyDeleteYes, there is the talk of interest rates going higher here, too. **SIGH** Lord.
With just the 2 of us here, I really do have to watch the portion size of foods I buy so as not to waster. Sometimes the brain says, “ . . . but the bigger size is going to save you money”. BUT reality . . . it WON’T if you can’t use it up and it spoils!
That’s great that Lopez has behaved himself!
For sure, do not watch much news. Don’t want to be uninformed, but . . . have to preserve sanity, too.
My dear, YOU are awesome!
Hugs

Barb-- Good day----Yes, always good to hear from yu-It is turning into a hot day AGAIN-----Sad to see our daughter leave to-morrow--but---- its the way it is-- LOL---Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. I'm glad your daughter is able to stay one more day. Every day is precious when you know you won't see them again for awhile. That's exactly how I felt with my daughter and her family left and yes, I did cry. We're having a few cooler days too although Daisy and I walked this morning and it felt quite humid. They say we MIGHT get some rain, I sure hope so! It rained yesterday for all of about 3 minutes. My flowers need a little more than that! Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteKathy, Good morning!--- It is beginning to be hot---AGAIN--- i know she (our daughter) is heading back to Ohio to-morrow-- very sad---I hate it when they leave and the whole world seems quieter--and I shed a lot of tears---The Grand Boy is here cutting grass-- I am so happy to have him do it--(with a bit of $$$) Lynda
DeleteYOU Lynda, are awesome.
ReplyDeleteIts nice that daughter, grands and dog are staying another day but it will be hard to say goodbye.
How nice that your son had everyone at his restaurant. Even nicer that you didn't have to cook. No doubt himself enjoys all the kids and grands around. Things will get quiet again....very quiet.
Yay grass cutting grandson.
I admire your determination with Lopez but me, personally, don't trust him. If anyone can get the upper hand with him its you. Good luck.
I have very little spoilage but go to the store often for small shops....just what we're out of or need. With the price of food, I hate throwing anything out.
I dont watch the news, on purpose. I watch weather and local news highlights. Local news is depressing with the violence.
Have a good day.
Stay strong
I'm assuming DH hasn't had any outbursts since the family was around and he was kept busy.
Stay strong
Hugs
Himself has been good when the kids are here--yes--Last night, at 4am, he crept down and turned on the furnace--to heat the whole house-- Crazy--- It was pretty hot in the house to begin with-I never thought he would do that----- Yu just never think of what he will do next--Lynda
DeleteEnjoy your time with your daughter today! Yes, food seems to not last as long, or we are not eating as much anymore, either……
ReplyDeleteMaybe we are not eating as much--I never thought of that--It has been very hot-Lynda
DeleteGlad you get a bonus day with your daughter! Yes, things get forgotten in the fridge - hate when we let it go bad and have to toss it. Now our village has organic food waste pick up along with the yard waste, so at least the fruit & veggie stuff can go back to the earth instead of the landfill...
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea--- Lynda
DeleteHang in there, Lynda…you will be sad, and rightly so….it must be very difficult to see your large family scatter after being together and having so much fun!! ❤️ Eissa7
ReplyDeleteWe could never all live together--again--but--it is so good to see all thei children wanting to be together--lynda
DeleteLynda, backatcha with all that awesome stuff! You SO awesome...with what you do, what you put up with. Even through the hard stuff, you manage to stay strong!
ReplyDeleteMaybe next time to can go to visit your daughter? Probably kinda hard, though, for the two of you. Nice thought, I guess.
Today I'm just hangin'. Visited a couple friends, did another blog entry (mamaswise), waiting for a package to arrive that didn't yet.
I feel that after yesterday and my trip to the VA and running around my friend for her appointment and shopping, I deserve a day off! Or is that just an excuse to take a nap? Whatever.
Hope the rest of your day proceeds as well as the first part. Safe travelling to your daughter and kids.
{{{HUGS}}}
I shall miss all the grand kids--and my daughter-- a lot---Yu deserve a day off girl--Good for yu to take it--and enjoy it-- Hugs, Lynda
DeleteAmen to that last one: outside, breathe, and commune with just your own corner of the world! (( hugs ))
ReplyDeleteHugs to yu Barb---Lynda
DeleteEverybody forgets something in the fridge...hope you have had a great time with everyone around...
ReplyDeleteYou are awesome! This is just the blog I need editing to start my day! Hugs, Ace (Alicia363)
