Hope you have a "feel good" day--

I hope that the one little angel does take away your troubles-----We have another very hot day starting--Yesterday I sat on the dock and it was about 10 degrees cooler than up by the house--the dogs were in and out of the lake---  and--the best part---- the grandchildren were paddling between son#1's dock, around the corner of our bay, to our dock-- it was so nice to see them all out  on the lake-- I must get pictures to-day--

So, yesterday, I made a rhubarb pudding--put a crust on it--It is so easy to make, and  the Grandkids seem to never have had rhubarb before, and loved it----so much easier to make than a pie--

I hear on CBC that the world had the hottest day yesterday--EVER---  scare-y!!---  It was 42 here at one point. I have never seen that in this area! We have the AC running continuously, which we have never had to do before either.

This morning I have 6 places to get to---I have a list as long as my arm. I think it is best to not take Himself with me--too hot for him in the car------He will not like me leaving him at home. He likes to be a part of the action--but--- it's really not safe for him to sit in the car.

I shall get some pictures today of the action on the lake--  I absolutely love watching the Grandkids out on the Kayak--or the paddle boards--  or the small aluminum boat--They are all great swimmers  and they wear their life jackets----AND THEY CAN EAT____Summer is so nice isn't it?--

Remember to STAY STRONG---  that we are stronger than we believe we are--

  2. Yes, hottest day on Earth yesterday. Still non-believers in global warming? *SIGH*

That is so nice that you, the dogs and the kids all had fun on the lake. I bet w/all the activity they can eat . . . a LOT!!!

Your rhubarb dessert sounds delicious! Love rhubarb.

You are right . . . it is not good to leave Himself in the car in this heat. Not safe.

HUGS and have another wonderful day!

  4. Sorry you had a bad day yesterday with Himself. You are so right to pray for patience. The fact that he did not have any difficulty until the past few years is amazing. Thanks for the rhubarb pudding...I wish I could taste some! Donna_cps2

I know it's lots of extra work to have company, but worth it! Keep smiling - as you always make me smile.....loved the Angel quote today!

  6. It's Kathy. Enjoy your day with the grandkids. My son and DIL are here with 3 year old Samuel, who never stops talking! The rest of the family will be here this afternoon. I'm excited to see them all but also tired out from all the cooking and cleaning. Maybe I can get in a power nap this afternoon! Hope the shopping trip is successful!

  7. Happy you are enjoying the family fun on the dock. Can’t wait to see the pics. You sound very busy today and then hair day tomorrow. The rhubarb dessert sounds delish! It will be 88 in Ohio today. I would say best to leave himself at home. Could your daughter come or has she left? Stay cool and have a great day!

  8. Enjoy every little bit of grandkid activity that you can…what a nice break for you from the ordinary, huh?!!
It is really, really HOT and humid…yes, it’s FL, BUT…a temperature record was set in the Tampa area yesterday. You go out the front door and feel like your walking into a 350 degree oven! Hope that you have a wonderful day!! Eissa7

  9. Lynda, it is cooler here today! Go figure. I just deal with it. I'm sure you do, too. I do not have the A/C on.
Must get in gear and do my Sadie thing.
A bit of shopping to do, too.
I think seeing the kids around the dock, in the water and with their toys would be wonderful. Enjoy it while you can IN CASE you find somewhere to live not on the lake.
I think staying where you are would be great if you could get reliable help for the outdoor chores and someone to help Sadie.
Hopefully Lopez is safe in his crate to avoid Himself and the cane.

  10. Rhubarb desert sounds so good. No doubt its super busy with grands and it requires a lot of food.
I noticed you mentioned to someone that you took the house off the market. I was a bit surprised to hear that but perhaps now isnt the time.. Hoping that makes you feel better. As long as you get HELP outside....staying might be the best choice.
Couldn't your daughter stay with himself? Guess she's sleeping somewhere else.
Enjoy the grands and your family.
    Hugs

  11. I'm confused. The news says it was the hottest day in the world ever... and that's when the cold front came through and dropped our thermometers by 30*F! Anyway, Wednesday it's been nice out, and they predict that here, at least, we'll have about five days of this cooler weather. And I'm OK with that!

    1. Global warming causes climate change which includes colder temps in some areas as well as hotter temps in others

  12. Sounds like things are great with lots of grands around. And with sin #1 so close it makes it fun for them to go between places. It's hotter up there than here. 42 sure is hot. Too hot to leave himself or the pups in the car. Hope all went well. Enjoy the day. Hugs Brenda
