It's a precious privilege to be alive!

TRY-----yes--try to think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive----I think I should paint this statement on our bedroom ceiling--

There will be a lot of action here soon--so, I am typing quickly here-- Son#3, the Policeman, will be out with his 2 dogs--  Apollo and Lola----  Yes, I volunteered to keep them as they are heading to Hawaii--via Toronto Pearson Airport--I thought the 2 dogs would be here by now--but------anyway, they will be here soon-- It will be good for Lopez--as Lola is an apple head Chihuahua and will not take any ('scuse the expression)-crap from Lopez--- I have no idea how everything will work out with a painter arriving Wednesday--but--I know it will--

--and-- here they all are---(taken after their arrival)-

Last night I "caved in"---  read all your responses to yesterdays blog--- and never finished commenting---very unusual for me--I will get to it to-day-- I think I  read quite a few--

I thought all the above ducks pretty cute-- I am one of those people paddling like crazy  "under neath"---always questioning  my life-- "Am I doing the right thing?"---  "Should I shop on a certain day?"----"Can I handle everything on my plate?"-- "Should I move or should I stay?"---- Aww me--The list is endless--Too bad I just can't sit back and allow things to happen--- I need "Faith"----  (I think that is a song!)

--like--"Enjoy Life"----  It would make my day so much easier if I could just allow it all to  happen--whenever  whatever is supposed to happen--quit the worrying--  I used to be called "the worry wart" by my Mom---

Lord love a Duck--Time to get the sheets on the bed--It is Sunday and that's what happens here on a Sunday-I hope your day goes well--MAKE IT GO WELL!---We do have sunshine-- the grass is cut-- I am not ill--  We went for groceries yesterday--  very depressing as I am sure the prices are even higher--but--- I won't go there--

--"STRONG" is a good word -----that is "us"-STRONG__----Hugs  coming your way---  remember----  We are alive!

  1. I did it again. I was the last to write on Yesterday's post and here I am first on this one. I did my bed too today. It's a Sunday, not a lot planned and changing sheets can be a very difficult task for me but I don't expect a lot out of Sundays and myself so it seemed a good idea. I did have to take a rest after an hour of wrestling with the electric under blanket, and other bits, but the job is done so tonight will have me sleeping like a bear hibernating for the winter! Enjoy all the pups and I do hope son #3 has a great holiday in the sun.

  2. Happy Sunday! It is our favorite day and we will make it a great one. I am a worry wart, too. My husband tells me I think too much. He is even minded all the time. I think from the military. So nice of you to care for the dogs. I know they are very good and Lopez and Beau will enjoy it. Have a lovely day. Hugs back at you from Ohio!:)

  3. Good morning,
Loved the ducks flapping lol. Stop worrying....changes nothing. We can only control our reactions to "whatever".....most things we fret about never happen.
A painter PLUS 4 dogs. Girl you are going to have your hands full. I hope Lola gets Lopez whipped into shape lol. Your house will look so pretty, fresh and new.
Safe travels to son and family.
Stay strong and relax. Play your piano...the dogs will enjoy.
    Hugs

  4. Love the ducks, and the elephant "enjoy life". As for worry, my friend told me to "stop bleeding before you are cut", which is a good thing to remember. Most of the things we worry about may never happen, and if they do, they usually are not as bad as we envisioned. Enjoy life! Today, do something because it is fun!

  6. Speaking of ducks, my niece in Utah has taken on another nest of fostering ducklings (mallards, I think) whose mother was taken out by a car on the road. Nine little quackers. She's already hand-raised (well, she and her children) one clutch this year, and she's kind of got the reputation, which brings more her way. Kind of like you and dog-sitting!

They are cute and they grow up faster even than puppies!

I'm slowly working at recovery from RSV, with emphasis on the slowly.

Hope your week goes smoothly with all those dogs!

    1. OK Barb--What is RSV?--- Ducklings must be fun to raise-- She must have them in a huge p[aypen or something-- Interesting-- Lynda

    2. RSV = respiratory syncytial virus, the third of Covid, Flu and RSV, all of which seemed to hit about the same time last Winter. They are working on a vaccine for RSV, but it's not yet available here.

The ducklings have joined my niece's flock of domestic ducks and chickens (she has the whole coop and fence thing set up for her own) until they get big enough to fly away. I expect they'll be grown in time to migrate with the rest of the wild ones. They are so cute!

  7. It's Kathy. I love the idea of having the privilege of being alive! Yes, every day we wake up and can meet the day is a good day. I just got back from having lunch with several friends. One of our friends had her 80th birthday today and we wanted to celebrate! It was nice to be able to not think about what work projects need to get done. Enjoy your time with the dogs! It's nice of you to do this for Son #3.

  9. Love the sayings about it's a privilege to be alive especially every day as we get older! The picture of all the dogs are cute. Beau is probably thinking "what am I going to do with all these little dogs around". And I hope Lola keeps Lopez in his place! It should make life easier. Please show us some pictures from Hawaii - as close as I'll ever get! Hugs Brenda

    2. LOVE that first meme. It is a privilege indeed.

Wow, you will have a busy household w/Apollo, Lola, Lopez, Beau and Sushi. Good luck!

OH my goodness, and adding having a painter onto the list for the week. Good luck.

I know . . . the prices of food are just unbelievable. Where does it end? Well, not sure. The end of price increases is surely nowhere in sight right now.

Yes, strong is a great word. WE have to live it.

      Hugs and blessings

  10. Lynda a very wise man once told me this. (yes-it was David)
He asked me if worrying changed a darn thing? and for me to think
on that. It does not change anything. What is going to happen will
happen anyway. So I quit worrying.
Am I happy about the world situation??? No. But I can do nothing to change it.
