Advice From a LLAMA

We have a rainy day here--I love it--  It is cooler--so--no AC on--and the rain, sounds nice!---AND---- the best part---the grass is cut--AND Weed Whacked--The Grand Grandson was out yesterday and did a fantastic job!---'This morning, I went to NAPPA with my 3 weed whackers-- "Bill" in there, restrings them for me--

So they are "good to go" for next week--To-day is HAIR DAY__My one time in the week that I go from----the picture below-----

 To this----
Well, it doesn't look much better--but--- it feels better-----LOLOL--
One step at a time--- I find if I plan my day , the day before, like deciding to do an outside job really well, one day--then, the next day, do groceries----  my mind and my old body seems to handle all the chores --I try to clean a room----one day---and bake in the afternoon---with a rest every afternoon--  when I can read--If I  do too many house-y chores in one day, I end up an old grouch--just saying-----grocery shopping day----that day is pretty much all I do---How do you plan your days?---- or--Do you just "wing" it?

Little Lopez, the feisty Chihuahua, has not bitten me for quite some time now--Too bad he didn't come with instructions----I have learned that when he growls (which doesn't happen as often now)_to leave him alone--that he is hoarding something in his bed--so just leave him--Usually when he sees Beau, the German Shepherd , going outside, Lopez forgets  that he is protecting something--and runs to the door with Beau----  We do get along a lot better lately--for such a tiny head, he is very intelligent--

I hope your day is going well--even in these strange times!---I hope that you make a few minutes to be a tad crazy-- dance , sing up a storm---hug your cat--or a pet--perhaps say hello to some stranger--stay safe---and take time to thank the good Lord that we are alive!

  1. I have found that if I plan my day in advance, it goes better. However the best laid plans of mice and men often go astray and I get side tracked. best incentive is if I know someone is coming to the house and then I will get it straightened. So glad your yard got done. Have a great day! D

  2. We had quite the storm last night. I heard the warnings while I was driving to my bible study session. The storm missed where I was but driving home I saw some trees and branches down. We have a very large, very old tree in our back yard. If it goes, it will likely take the house with it. Luckily the worst of the storm apparently went past us on either side. All I have are a bunch of leaves and a few small branches in my yard. I was thankful for the rain but could have done without the strong winds! Some areas of our state got hail the size of baseballs. I'm so glad that you and little Lopez have found a way to coexist without him lashing out at you! And so glad your grandson is helping you. Have a wonderful day!

  3. Happy that yard is done and you can leave in peace. Would your grandson be able to do all of it next summer, so you don’t have to struggle with it, as time goes on? Enjoy chit chatting at the hairdresser.

  4. So glad that the grandson was out to cut the grass and weed-whack. Nice to have that done. And glad you got your whackers restrung.

Glad you got your hair done! It always is a mood lifter!

You are wise. I do different chores on different days so I’ not rushing around and exhaust myself. Galancing it all with the outside work, ti, like you do. So, it is a sanity saver and an energy saver!

So glad that Lopez’s behavior is improving. Good for both of you!

Definitely having to take a chill pill today. Trenching going on in the yard to bury new fiberoptic cable. It . . .is . . . a . . . mess. Breathing

    Love the Llama’s advice. TRUTH!

  5. Love the Llama advice.
I try to plan my day. Generally it goes according to plan. When things change, oh well...hopefully there is tomorrow.
Lopez seems ok for now. Not sure I'd ever trust him.
Glad grandson is doing a nice job for you.
Can he also do weed wracking so you don't have to do it? The man in town who restrings your weed whackers is an angel.
Enjoy hair day. An escape from the house wahoo.
Enjoy your day. Maybe you can take time to play your piano. .

  6. What a joy to read your blogs! You seem to be right on track with the way I feel and do things: Planning the next day (or the trip to town the same day...anything in the 'future') is what the Law of Attraction calls "pre-paving." It works!
I know you are happy with your helpers for your yard and tools.
It's just 64F here, but feels hotter. Just came home from an outing with a friend. Had to deal with construction, etc. But she bought me Kentucky Fried Chicken for my trouble.
Missed my meditation time today, but it's ok once in a while.
Now to eat my chicken, watch tv and cuddle with Lucky!
    PS your hair looks just fine to me! {{{HUGS}}}

  7. Hi sweet Lopez! Stormy in Ohio tonight but happy for the rain. Your hair always looks pretty. Going to bed early. The puppy is wearing me out. Loose stools since we got him Saturday. Glad it is vet day tomorrow. Thank goodness for your grandson and the weed wacker man. Enjoy your night!

    2. That's nice to know! Thanks! My older yorkies have always loved cheese. I always put their pill in a piece and rolled it into a ball. They never knew the pill was in the cheese.

  8. I do try to limit how many things I have going on in any given day. One appointment outside the house a day. Maximum two. So I try to avoid making other appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays, my regular days with the trainer. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are for doctors, dentists, etc., getting a haircut (looks nice, by the way). "Pace yourself" is a way of life for me! Grocery shopping when I'm feeling the energy and the list has grown enough. I always think of you when I put "bananas" on the list!

Have a great Friday and weekend ahead.

  9. One has to space things out....can't do it all in one day or even one hour anymore...but my problem is: OH, look - a book...........well I'll just read one chapter..............and there goes my day and sometimes my nights.
Have to laugh and go on...tomorrow is another day.
