Anyway, last evening, I just turned off the computer and tried to forget the horrible mess on the screen---so, this morning--early-- I called "Apple Care"---Bless their hearts! --some kind patient soul, screen shared with me --and voila--all my email reappeared in the correct way it used to be--
So that is settled----then, looking around our house, I decided to get a painter in to paint the main level--and she just left--no price yet--the colour on the walls is a very deep yellowy brown- never been painted since '87 when we purchased this house----
So lotza "stuff" this day to deal with---on this "way too hot" day--I am sending out "huge hugs" to you all with positive vibes--- We are dealing with all the issues facing us in these times----fires---- floods-- a war somewhere in the world--a day with temperatures way above normal--and a crazy Lady (me) on a computer that she messes up quite a lot--
One more thing--Son#3-and family, -is going to HAWAII for a week--and Lola and Apollo, his 2 dogs are coming out here --(Lopez told me to tell yu all that!)---REMEMBER___
I LOVE that pic of the woman with the gun and the computer. It wouldn't be me, but I sure know the frustration at times. I love my Mac too, but my sisters isn't working right at all. I left a comment on yesterday's blog and was the last one in - but maybe today I'll be the first! Then off to bed. I'm sorry it's so hot. We're halfway through winter and I might just bake a loaf of bread tomorrow. Because I don't want to pay $4 for a loaf at the supermarket. So we'll see how that goes! Take good care of yourself and Himself and the pups - be sure you and everyone else has plenty to drink. Cool damp cloths help - put them on the back of your neck then swing them around in the air when they get warm and put them back again. It helps a lot. Sending love and air hugs!
ReplyDeleteI just found yer comment from yesterday--Gee Whiz--- So good to hear from yu! --I should bake a loaf of bread too as it always makes the house smell so good!--The only problem is, my loaf of bread does not always rise-- anyway, I am getting Himself out of the house--a wee drive to town always helps us--Big hugs back atchu-- *S*---Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. Many years ago when I was working in Human Relations for my company I hired George. George was a tech wiz and sometimes all he had to do was walk up to my computer and it would start working right. Oh, how I miss George! My husband is pretty good about figuring things out. Just yesterday I was trying to watch something on the TV and it wasn't working well. Luckily he came in the living room and said "we should try this..." So he did and it worked! We're getting a little break from the heat but now the humidity is high. Can't win!
ReplyDeleteKathy--- It is very very hot here--i used to have a "George" to help me with the computer-but--then the clinic hired him full time-- and the kids are no help-I believe they think their Mom should always only be in the kitchen--But---- you really are lucky that yer hubby is computer literate--Hugs, Lynda
ReplyDeleteI believe we are all at some time experiencing issues with our computers! I recently bought a new, one with money from my son, to cure mine. I am glad you have a helper.
ReplyDeleteIt's still hot here, too, but not as bad as earlier in the week.
Shopped today. Got more organic blueberries and strawberries on sale, cat food, etc.
Love your meme about how old you are! I'm gonna post that in 4 days on my birthday!
Your dogs will have company, and your son's dogs will have a vacation. Your son and his are so lucky. I would love you go back again.
Oh, regarding my meditating...you do that, too...when you sit playing the piano and getting lost in the music. There are different kinds of meditation. It is so soothing.
{{{HUGS}}}
Happy to hear that you can use that meme-- and I must remember yer Birthday--and wow--- piano playing is meditating--ever nice to hear that! --I relly am in another world when I play the piano--Lynd

DeleteI'm the same as you when it comes to computers - I have to call someone to fix as I have no clue. Same as painting - although now I just rent that doesn't matter anymore. Lopez will be tested with having company again. Hope all works out. Didn't one of your sons go to Hawaii recently? Thats a long flight (in my opinion). Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteBrenda it is a 10 hr flight from Toronto--Son #3 the Policeman is going next week--for only a week tho--Lynda

It will be a lot of work to move things out--but--the main level will be brighter--Lynda
DeleteI had my house in Alabama painted before I sold it, my friend Sandy is a professional housepainter....she suggested a really light soft gray and it turned out beautifully...really improved the light and also the den the same color. Was lovely.
