Find the courage to dance-

We have sun-- with a lot of mosquitoes--I still have to get Lopez out--second time--All seems good to-day-- so far--I hear that or Grandson  will be out to cut grass-- I must weed whack  this morning a bit---trim around the edges for him--It looks like a grand day beginning here-- The AC is not on --yet--- hopefully we will not need it to-day--

There are SO SO many Hummingbirds at the feeders--I think it must be the babies now , who have matured-- It keeps me busy mixing up my sugar water brew  for them!-- The feeders need to refilled  daily now--  Do you find that?--And I must keep a huge supply of sugar on hand--

I thought the above so true--Life is better when other people are thinking of you---sometimes, a phone call to a friend , will make their day--

I have been cooking  EVERY DAY ---with Himself's help---I decided that with the high cost of food now, it is best --and cheaper-- to prepare meals more at home--We were buying a few meals every week and bringing them home--not so much anymore-- It takes time and work , on my part now , to help himself, every dinner time, but --it really is healthier ---and less costly--What one has to do to balance the budget-?--- and, at least we can buy groceries---(at a price)-----  What on earth do the people in Ukraine ever do?--- I still believe we spend too much on groceries--but-----  it seems that is the way now!

So, everyday is a challenge--  Do you find that?---- You know, I remember a show on TV---  It was called, "This Is Your Life"---- A person was featured on a show and they went all thru her  (or his)-years, and people she  had met in her life, were brought onto the show , and eventually  I believe they gave her (or him)  a huge sum of $$$ ----  and her life changed drastically from that time on--Now, that would be something wouldn't it?--Do you remember that show?-Well, it is never going to happen to-day-- --It's up to us---

"keep going, you got this"-----the motto of to-day---  AND WE WILL----because, we are stronger than we believe ---

  1. Yea on the sun, boo on the mosquitoes. That will be wonderful if grandson cuts the grass.

Yes, cooking @ home is how I control our food budget, too. And I make it a practice to make more than we need for one meal so I can put one or two away in the freezer for easy peasy meals once in a while.

I remember that show “This is Your Life” and Queen for a Day! It was fun to watch.

Lovely memes today. Thanks for sharing (as always!)

  2. It's Kathy - I so remember "This is Your Life". Watched it every time it came on. I don't have any hummingbird feeders but I got a bird feeder for Mother's Day but I am having a hard time keeping the squirrels out of it! I am also cooking more. It's so costly to go out to eat. We have several gift cards from the kids over the years but what would have been good for 2 meals now barely covers one. The next thing I want to try is bread - I used to bake my own bread many years ago. It tastes better and is better for us and most likely not as expensive. One of these days! Have a great day. I'm glad the Grandson is coming to help with the lawn!

  3. Good morning
The hummingbirds have heard of your generosity lol.
Yes, I cook at home. Darn lol. I try to prepare extra meat/entree and freeze for another meal. Eating out is very pricey, even fast food.
I remember This is Your Life and Queen for a Day. Used to watch them with mom.
Hot here and muggy too. Have to run AC.
    Loved the inserts.
Yippee, grandson coming to cut lawn
    Enjoy your day.

  4. Lynda, I agree with to grocery cost. I do alot of quick things...tuna salad, mac n cheese from a box (with plant based butter and almond milk), salads, sometimes an egg on toast topped with spinach and shredded cheese (eggs florentine?), etc.
I hope that my kids are thinking of me with my birthday fast approaching. I know my daughter is...she wants to plan an adventure. Evidently, hot air balloon ride and zip line are off the radar due to my flexibility. (one must climb up 150 steps to get to the top of the zip line). Maybe we'll do the zoo. It's been years for me. We have 2 around here...one has more gardens, the other more animals.
You are lucky that Himself still vacuums and cooks, too! He is a talented man. Does he still torment Lopez with the cane?
And your son and grandson help with the yard work, too.
I did just to some shopping...organic strawberries and blueberries, a fly swatter, new shower soap...not a lot.
Now my baby wants to cuddle so we will take a short nap. I mean to do it just til he falls fast asleep. Sometimes I do that, too!

  5. Glad your grandson is coming to cut the grass. But no one needs all those mosquitoes out there. Sounds like it's a good day other than the mosquitoes. This time of year I like to buy as much Ontario fruit as possible since we don't get it for long.Just wish I could buy it in smaller quantities - like a couple of nectarines instead of a whole package that I have to give half away! Just love the warm weather though. Have a good night. Brenda

  6. I remember "This is Your Life", too... seemed like it was always celebreties of some sort being celebrated. "This is your life, Betty White". I don't remember the cash prize, but there must have been prizes, of course... maybe with the celebrities the money went to their favorite charities. I do remember learning about the careers. Fascinating.
