We will be friends until we're old--and then--

Lordy Be-----I am later than late posting--I had to drive to town and get to the Post office to get an insurance form off to the company--I sent it "special delivery" so , hopefully they will get it before Thursday--then I picked up a parcel--- at a different place--  Himself wanted coffee at MacDonalds which he brought home---so-----  that took up pretty much of the morning-----I stopped at our mailbox out by the highway and low and behold, there was a cheque in there--Lopez and big Beau were left at home here -

So,  I hope that your day is going well--We do not have rain--Our AC is turned off--as it seems like a cooler day so far--I had hopes of weed whacking this morning, but other stuff took priority--

How are y'all doing with the "sugar-less" eating plan---?---  I had to eat all the ice cream bars before I started ---  LOL---They are gone now----and there is no G'ale in the house, so  hopefully  without all the temptations (that I buy )---  the sugarless eating plan will go better--It's hard isn't it?---

I must tell you that I think it is now over a week, since Lopez took a chunk out of my leg, my arm and my thumb--  I now, never ever try to pick him up, if he has something in his bed that he is guarding--like a sock--or a bone--or a piece of cheese--  I go to the door with big Beau, and he usually will jump out of his bed and follow me outside--crazy little guy-- So far, we are getting along a lot better--  Lord love a duck---Would I get another Chihuahua, knowing that thy are a "ONE PERSON DOG"--(which is me!)-"That they are extremely intelligent for their size"--and that "they are wayeeee  more of a guard dog than big Beau"--

------NO , I don't think I would--but, I do love this wee fellow--- and if he were re-homed, I think it would mess him up a lot--(Maybe I am the one who wouldn't mind being re-homed with all I go thru here--LOL)

So, life goes on---and on-- and we must adapt--and we do---- Good thing I have you all  as my friends--
Be strong---  Be kind to the animals---  Laugh a lot--and hug someone special---  AND---- I shall see you to-morrow!

  1. Laughed at the comment that you had to eat all the ice cream bars before starting the low sugar routine.. That's what I'm doing now - trying to use up all cookies, candy or ice cream bars so I can get serious. Years ago I might have thrown some away but not at these prices! I have also given up sodas so we shall see how long this lasts. Don't hold your breath! Have a great afternoon.

  2. You did have a busy morning! Glad that it went well.

Good luck w/your no sugar plan. Hope it works for you. It’s not easy, but definitely feel better following it.

Lopez looks so innocent in that picture! Yes, I can imagine you’d miss him. Glad that it is going better with ou and him.

Sending hugs, like Snoopy and Charlie Brown, and hope you feel them!

  3. I loved reading your comment on my comment from yesterday's blog. No, my husband has just always been this way!!! He wants to leave me because he doesn't want to do the things I need help with, like take care of the yard. And HE is 3 years younger than I am and hasn't had multiple surgeries! We had some words last night when he suggested he start cooking every other day because it's so hard for me. During the day yesterday I asked him to help me trip the lilacs and cut down a couple scrub trees in the back. Nope - he'd rather show he's helping by taking over dinners - which is something I CAN do! Honestly, men are confusing, aren't they! I'm so glad little Lopez is behaving himself. A good trick to go out with Beau so he wants to go too!

    1. Poor you--- He sounds like my "Himself"---=but--Himself was never like this before----- himself does cook----but lately, not so well-- I am sorta taking over that too now--Marriage is hard isn't it?--a lot of "give and take"-----Lynda

  4. Glad Lopez is still behaving himself. I don't know of any dog that will allow you to take away/take out of their mouth something they have and are protecting. Specially if it's in their crate with is all theirs. Good to leave them home in this heat - way too hot to leave in a car. Not raining here but may later but is still hot. Have a great day. Brenda

  5. Your were a busy gal today. Me, too.
Happy you have the handle on Lopez's guarding. Maybe he had lots taken away from him before at his first home? Nah...he was a baby then. Maybe Beau had taken his things at some time. Who knows?
I did Walmart. It was hard to get into. Couldn't use my regular entrance as they are resurfacing the parking lot.
Got an order I sent for about 10 days ago. It was from a new shopping site online. I am so pleased with everything I ordered.
Have done all my exercises for 2 days. Today, with all the walking, I am taking a day off.
It's a good thing I don't believe I need to give up sugar. Never could do it! It's a necessary food group. I do eat lots of veggies, whole grains and fruit, however...with an occasional nut, bean or seeds.
Giving up the completely vegan diet again for now, though.
You will get your weed whacking done tomorrow. I will get another couple loads of laundry done (sheets, bedding, etc), and we will stay strong!

  6. New old friends sounds about right. I'm always forgetting who I told which stories to, so I feel like I'm repeating myself when I tell them. "New" audiences when one is forgetful, eh?

So sorry you ran afoul of Lopez, those chihuahuas have very sharp needle-teeth, and they may be small but they can do a lot of damage... and they seem prone to the dominant kind of personality!

Hope you have a smooth Tuesday, maybe even with some rain. We might get a little more here, too... we have just this week left before the weatherman says high Summer will return.
