and--Beau goes to the Dog Groomer

Beau has an appointment with the groomer for 9am--- not his most favourite thing to go to---He hasn't figured out yet what is going to happen , but he will as soon as I put the leash on him.

Before I do go, I must tell yu NOT to send any more cards to my brother in the LTCare place--Apparently his one son, who is not the nicest person, got all confused--thinks all the women out there are  chasing  him--"HIM"--meaning his Dad, --my brother--and I think he believes that  my brother will  try to move in --or somehow try to get his Dad--(my brother) to move in with them--which is totally beyond belief---- my brother is not "all there" in the head--- thus, the reason he is in the LT Care  place--

Whatta mess eh?--I thought it would be such a nice thing for   "my brother"---  but--now he believes all the women in the world who sent him a card are  after him--or something silly like that-- Man oh man! You can never win eh?-------you try to do something nice and it back fires-----I am so sorry---

I must get offa here--will add a wee note after I drop the big Beau--We have sun outside--

I heard from our daughter and she is en route thru Michigan, heading to OHIO--I guess they spent yesterday afternoon on Mackinac Island--and loved it!---

I'll get back to y'all later---thought the statement below  will give y'll something to think about--

  1. Hope it all goes well with Beau.
Oh my goodness....the nephew. Thats a shame to twist around an act of kindness into a negative. Your brother enjoyed the cards.
Daughter will be home soon. She's taking advantage of side excursions with her kids .
    Have a peaceful day.

  3. Well, sounds to me like the "son" has something wrong with him. Did anybody explain it was a kindness to make your brother feel good by getting mail? Geez, some people .....
Glad daughter is having some fun on the way home.
Hope Beau does well today...he will be thankful he was spared by the groomer demon and he can come home....lol

  5. While your daughter drives, my niece and her husband are on a London to Chicago flight... delayed by a day from their honeymoon in Europe. Lots of people traveling these days... day by day the pandemic mindset is going away, but I shall still get my shots whenever they offer them.

Sorry things weren't working out for the card shower for your brother. You never can tell, can you? And I hope that Big Beau behaves himself and comes home all refreshed!

  6. Your last meme? Reminds me of Shakspeare's, "All the world's a stage..."
Beau will feel better after his grooming. I bet he loves the people, just not that they're holding him in certain positions.
I was born and raised in Michigan and never went to Isle Royal. It is Michigan's one National Park.
Already been to visit a friend in a neighboring town. The construction is tying up traffic. It took me 3 times longer to get home. Going there, I had to take an alternate route.
    OH, well, we deal.
Company later (another good friend who rarely comes), so will get out of here and get some straightening up done and garbage and recycles out.

  7. That dementia is such a strange thing, it is unknown where the thoughts come from, and how each person will understand whatever they see and hear. Especially where people did the know the person before they had dementia….Misunderstandings are common, the nephew seems to not understand his father very well, either. The death of one’s Spouse can mess up thinking, too. I’m glad your daughter had a good time on the way home. Hoping Beau had a good grooming appt.

  8. It's Kathy. Your last meme - that's exactly what my ex-husband thought. It was kind of scary to listen to him talk sometimes. I'm sorry about your brother's confusion. I hope things get straightened out. Daisy has her grooming appointment in two weeks and it's certainly time! She likes the lady who does it but is really happy to come home again with us! Hope all went well with Beau!

  9. And I was finally just able to get a card yesterday!! Sounds like your nephew has some issues given that he also wanted nothing to do with his father once he was diagnosed. Guess he doesn't even want his father to have a happy day. You did the right thing for your brother to help make him happy. Hope all goes well with Beau and the groomer. I need to make an appointment for my dog too. Enjoy the rest of your day. Hugs Brenda
