and the Grand kids are so special!

A brand new day--with smoke---  "The Canadian Wild Fires"--not close to here  but affecting a lot of Canadian cities--and blowing South--

We have sunshine, a blue sky (with smoke in the distance)-no rain---and, it is Canada Day-July the1st-This day used to be called "Dominion Day"-

On July 1st 1867, the British North America Act, created Canada, formally joining several colonies into a single unified semi-independent Dominion of Canada. Canada then became a self governing dominion within the British Empire. The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, has served since 2015. July 1st 1980, "Oh Canada" became our national anthem.

So, that is a bit of Canadian Trivia----the trivia around here, is that our daughter is here, from Ohio--with her 2 children, who do not look like children anymore, but young adults--

It is SO SO good to have them here-- we celebrated a Birthday at supper last night--with cake and ice cream---with son #4 coming out with his children---grandparents absolutely love love love , having the Grandkids visit--and they brought their dog , who has not been a problem at all-

Big Beau and Lopez have been  out---  walked up the back road---AND, I did  get groceries yesterday.  The store was crazy busy--The order came to around $300--terrible!----- When I returned home, himself- was in the worst mood ever--angry--angry angry--at me--for no reason--well, for every reason he could think of--It is so difficult to deal with that, when you return home, away from the crowds---and just wish to relax, and "the wrath of the frustrated husband descends upon you!"-----  It usually passes quickly however, if one can ignore it and carry on-
Isn't the above so true?---  easy when everyone is healthy--- difficult in the "older ages"--- because of many reasons--

I hope your day is special--- Make it special! ---Remember---

  4. It's Kathy - how wonderful that your daughter and grandchildren are there to spend time with you. They are beautiful children! I'm sorry you had to come home to an angry himself. He probably didn't like being home alone, or maybe even forgot you went to the store. I'm sure that's so challenging for you. Enjoy your family!

  8. Happy Canada Day! I am sure you know those of us down south will be celebrating Independence Day on July 4th. Many people are taking Monday off from work.
The stores here are all super busy, too. They were out of the cat food I wanted to get for Lucky.
So happy for you with your daughter and hers there and for the marvelous party you had last night. I do wonder how Himself and Lopez do with all the excitement. I am sure Beau loves it and Sushi could care less.
We have no Bingo tomorrow, so I will probably read or write some more.
Still hot here and still haze from the fire. I hope you continue being safe.

  11. Sorry to hear that himself was angry at you for no reason. It is hard to go do errands and come home tired to an unpredictable environment. I hope things have settled down for you. Yes, groceries are so expensive and by the time you buy food, cleaning products, etc. you don't seem to get much. Your grandchildren are beautiful. I know you are enjoying them very much. Don't forget to take time for you. A book, the piano and a little ice cream. lol Hugs from Ohio!
