Andy Rooney on women over 40--

Because I am so late blogging---  I posted the above by Andy Rooney-- I always used to enjoy his comments on 60 minutes on a Sunday night--Just read the above and I believe  it will make your day--because he values "Women over 40"----and he tells you all the reasons that he does---
Women over 40 are dignified--never wake you up to ask what yu are thinking----They are honest and they realize  its not worth buying the entire pig just to get a little sausage-

---------------Just read the above and stick out your chest and be proud Ladies!

And now I can tell you why this is posted at 1pm-----because all our house phones are not working--- It is something to do with the box that the internet provider  has sitting beside the computer here-- I called our server who will not come out to change the box-which is over  10 yrs old--Apparently they think that I can do it--The internet is fine--just the new house phones do not   work with  the 10 yr old box-- so---  WE WILL HAVE A NORMAL PHONE LINE---even with our same number-Apparently  one company can "port" it over to the new company--EXCITING_-

Son#2 the Pilot,  is now back from Frankfurt, Germany--  He sent some pictures of the Rhein river

----------------------------------and Pork Schnitzel with Peppercorn gravy

I must get off of here---  so excited that we may get our house phones working--no more "voice over internet--"--which was terrible--We shall have a real phone line-which might even work when the power goes out-- Isn't it just amazing what we appreciate as we age?

I know the above is  rated "R"---- but, just look at this little girl?--No-one is going to mess with her!

----Be strong--- be Happy----  Have the "patience of Jobe" as Mom used to say---

  1. Happy for you with your internet and phones!
I commented last night so late you probably didn't see it.
Was busy visiting with my 'adopted daughters' and best friend here. The friend had homemade apple pie and bread for them. They had a thank you card with $10 extra and a beautiful pewter ornament purchased on their trip...the one I pet sat for them.
My son sent me some $. I am no longer behind on rent or any bills! And enough to last me until my next check posts.
For internet and my smart tv (I bought it when I was still working full time) I have wi-fi. Due to my low income, I get it free.
The only phone I have is my cell phone.
I'm glad you liked that Pooh thing I messaged you with. I did it cuz I knew you like Pooh and Piglet.
Did my exercises already. Now just playing with Lucky until I have to go pick up a friend where I dropped her off this morning. The last 3 days I have made $40 taking friends places. I can't help wondering the cost of the gas I used.

  2. It's Kathy. I am also late in checking in - didn't get up until almost 10 am this morning. I still feel lousy but it seems I might be winning over this darn cold. It's a beautiful day here today and I want to get out and enjoy some of this sunshine. I have plants to cut back and some other yard work to do so Daisy and I will be going outside shortly. I'll just do as much as I feel I can! Love the photos your son took in Germany - how beautiful it must be there. I'm glad you are getting your phones working! Technology is changing faster than we can keep up with it! Oh, and I always liked Andy Rooney - thanks for posting that!

  5. Good for you getting the phones working soon. Those photos are beautiful and the food looks delish! Tell your son thanks for sharing. It was sunny and much warmer in Ohio today. I really wanted to walk the dogs but had too many Sadie duties so I didn't get to. I have to walk them one at a time so it is time consuming. Maybe tomorrow. Cloudy but still warm. The Andy Rooney post is a good one! I always enjoy your blogs. Thank you for taking the time to do it. Have a great night!

  6. What consternation with the phones! It will sort out in time. The little girl is right! Thank your son for the pictures. I’ve only been in the Frankfort airport, but was born in Berlin. Glad you got your Sadie work done, raking. Stay warm now, our AC is still needed for a few days in Texas. Take care. From used to be Ethel Merz, wonder if any remnants of Spark People is left?

  7. We used to call it POTS, back when I worked for the phone company: "Plain Old Telephone Service". That was when cell phones were just beginning to be a thing, in the 1980's.

Smile and be exceeding glad it still does the job!
