October 2nd----and it is very warm-- hot in fact-----hard to believe isn't it?---Is this a happy day for you?--It says above, that -Happiness makes people prettier--A smile is all it takes , to be prettier--
I have been out "blowing " leaves-- I think they all fell at once--over night---and there is still a lot more to come! -
Life is good--- Yesterday and to-day have been good days---Day Care tho, has been cancelled to-day for Himself-- maybe not enough in his class--maybe the lady in charge is working on the floor--- who knows? It is a "let down" for Himself however as he really does look forward to going-- It is such a great service-- He meets the other people in there and it forces him to talk to them--plus he enjoys the exercises.
We have a few more days of wearing summer clothing, enjoy that--- -----because----- We know what is coming-----

It's Kathy - I forgot to mention yesterday that I loved the Pooh Bear graphic on your yesterday's blog. Sorry about day care but I am so glad that himself is enjoying going. We always thought my husband's mother would feel better if she got out to something where she could socialize but her daughter, who was her caretaker, didn't want to bother! Yes, it's very hot already here. I did drive up to the path so Daisy could get in a walk - it's almost all shade on that path which makes it okay for us to walk. She really enjoyed it but she's pretty hot! I broke down and turned on the A/C today! Have a great day!

DeleteOur AC here in Texas never stopped yet, maybe by the end of the week, the 80‘s might return. Ragweed is causing sneezing issues. Halloween May bring real cooler, breathing weather. Sorry Himself and you could not partake of Daycare today. Darn it. What will you cook today?

DeleteLeaves are falling in Southern Illinois also...we have been working on cleaning the driveway area...cutting weeds etc....Barb and Paul are taking a nap so Blue came down here to be with me...after a lovely little snackie, he hopped up on my bed and went to sleep...and here I am...lol..............sorry about daycare, I do believe it helps Himself a lot to socialize....

DeleteI am so glad that you have had a couple of good days, and that your Himself is liking and benefiting from his "Day care" arrangement. We all need contact with other people. It cannot all fall upon the spouse!

DeleteIt is 81 and sunny today in Ohio. It will be 55 next Monday! So yes, it won’t be long until winter. There is a groundhog digging at my deck! I guess trying to make a home but I must get rid of him. Sorry about daycare being cancelled. Changing the plans. You are right, we must stay strong. Enjoy your evening!

Not much doing with us. A bit of shopping. I was out of bananas!
Tomorrow are my appointments at the Minneapolis Veterans Medical Center. A stop to talk to the Million Veterans Program, then labs, and then my new primary care doctor. Can't wait to meet her.
Wednesday my BFF and I are visiting our favorite restaurant. I still have a gift card given me for my birthday that I haven't used yet.
Sad that Himself couldn't go hang with his friends. Does he do the exercises at home? Maybe you could ask him to teach you. (not that you don't get enough exercise with Sadie and your outdoor chores). It might give him a tiny feel of power, which he probably misses. Or not. Or maybe he still acts like he still has it...Do I sound confused? I think I confused myself with that last bit.
I guess we're all in about the same boat. I love how we bolster each other up here, though. You do that for your followers and maybe we do that for you. {{{HUGS}}}

ReplyDeleteHot in St.Louis too. It's been near 90F for several days. Very dry. Temps are to drop dramatically later this week. I HATE thinking about that white stuff falling out of the sky in the months ahead.
