A giggle in your wiggle---

WE CAN DO THIS!----  --Lordy Be----  Yesterday is "Dead and Gone"--(Isn't that a song?)--and--I am so happy for that!---To-day is a new day-- a day to get everything right--It is still dark out here (7-30am)-and-already it is going better than  my most  horribly busier than busy day, yesterday--

It is "black as the Ace of Spades" outside-- --Mom's expression of course---and I believe it is raining-I think I can hear it.---

big Beau has had his foot dressed --but--I still think, eventually he will have to have a vet look at it--some sort of swollen bump on one paw, between his toes-- He is not able to lick it anymore as I have a dressing on it--but, it is still there--

Last night, we had a call from the people who used to  do our phones--The man told me  that he would be here after 6pm to collect his equipment--so--one more thing I had to deal with  after dinner--It seemed like the "never ending" day--

The above picture, (Do you remember it?)- was taken when himself and I flew out to Vancouver--   Son#2 flew in to meet us--and our daughter flew in from Hawaii---=and the 4 of us stayed right downtown Vancouver -----  You can see our daughter on the bike with Himself--- --That was 4 days of so much fun and happiness--(I spoke of that yesterday)-
Now isn't the above so true--??--the happiest people (and that is us)--make the best of everything--
--and yesterday my sister reached out and texted me---  It really was wonderful on my "busiest day ever"--that she was wondering where on earth was the blog------
-- I must get the dogs out--run between the raindrops--and hopefully to-day will be a quiet day--- an uneventful day---------

We want to be "Mentally Strong People"------for sure-----to be kind, and not feel sorry for ourselves.

  1. What a treat to receive a text from your sister when your day wasn't going well. It shows you that there so many of us that become worried when we don't see your blog. I love your inserts today and I will try and put a giggle in my wiggle. Lol. Enjoy your day! Hugs!

  3. It's Kathy - looks like Beau doesn't mind too much having his foot wrapped. We are expecting rain here this afternoon - I was hoping I could get out to walk Daisy but probably not because I have my class at the gym this morning. I sure don't want to go, but I know I need the exercise if I will ever get my old self back! How nice that your sister checked in with you. I hope today is a much calmer day for you!

YES! Happy people don’t have the best of everything, but MAKE the best of everything. LOVE that meme.

  5. It can be hard sometimes to not feel sorry for ourselves...to not begin a 'pity party.' I can usually do it if I think of all my blessings, think of Lucky and my marvelous grandchildren. I can usually do it...unless it all comes down, one thing after another on the same day!!!! Like you had yesterday, and like I had Thursday with the B/P, the EMTS picking me up, Lucky crashing the book shelf, etc.
    Honey, we are only humans!
The photo of great. I thought that was you on the bike.
Happy your phone problems are fixed.
Not too cold here. 60F, but rain on and off for 2 or 3 days yet. Next week it's due to go down into the 40sF.
The barometric pressure or something makes me sleep so well when it rains.
We just gotta live in THIS moment...nor worry about what came before or what comes next. We are strong, and can get through anything.

  6. I think it's awesome that your sister is watching for your blog! Sisters are wonderful. I ought to know. I still have three of them.

We have the mowing guys here, and so far, Carl has been tolerant of their right to work in my yard. I'm proud of him! Prisoner seems to be weathering things well, too. So at least for a couple more days I'm a busy lady!

May your today be calm, and may Beau's foot heal well.

  8. So happy that your sister contacted you! I miss my sister, she died 2 year ago!
Hoping that Beau's foot can heal since it is bandaged. I had to take my two cats to the vet today for their 3 year check up. My girl cat weights 3 pound more than her brother! She doesn't play as much as her brother so I need to find ways to get her moving more - plus she ys any food he leaves....but not sure how to deal with that! haha! But they both are healthy and got good reports! It is a hassle to get them both in carriers and to the vet....another sign that I am getting older and things get harder for me!
So about your meme about being strong:
    1. I think I've moved on - but I still cry almost every day when I think about how much I miss my beloved husband.
    2. I really don't embrace change - but I try to accept it.
    3. I am happy most days, but things I can't control do stress me out (thinking about recent pool painting ordeal).
    4. I always try to be kind, but find it hard sometimes to speak up.
    5. I do take some calculated risks, but often ask my kids first.
    6. I do celebrate others celebrated successes - especially yours, but I must admit that I feel sad when I see other happily married couples and wish I wasn't a widow.

So I liked the meme, but it made me realize I still have a long way to go to be a strong woman! Thanks for sharing it!

  9. So lovely that you heard from your sister. My two sisters live in Georgia saw each other the other day. I'm somewhat jealous of that, but I'm able to talk to them online and one I even video chat with almost every day. I think the phrase "feeling sorry for yourself" should be changed to "having compassion for yourself". it's important for us to have compassion for ourselves. After all, we must take care of ourselves and look after our well-being, it's one of our most important jobs. Sometimes we need to look at the things that are bothering us in order to fix whatever is wrong or find solutions that help us feel better and be better. Okay, that's me done with philosophy for the day! I hope Today is going well for you. I'm struggling with a few things, but they'll get better. ((Big Hugs))
