You're off to great places, to-day is your day!

It's a brand new day---  Don't forget----to be-----Awesome!--Good morning to you!- here it is still dark---and I hear that a Porcupine is wandering around the neighbourhood-- --so, the 2 dogs cannot go out until daylight-- It s 7-21 am --as I type--and pitch black outside.

Son #2, the Pilot, sitting in London, England, waiting to fly that Dreamliner back to Canada this evening, sent pictures of food--AGAIN---This time it is home cooked food--from his brother-in-law---and wife, who reside there, and where he went yesterday to visit them.

Below is fresh pumpkin soup

Chicken wings

and  garlic bread----It does all look delicious --
Yesterday  I "did groceries"----two grocery stores ----  way too many  baskets of food to lug in-- then run upstairs and downstairs -----  It was horrible---- too much work----I vowed to not  "do" such a large order ever again-----I did buy a turkey and dropped the "big bird" off at Son#3's house---  He is going to cook it--and we are invited!---

Our weather is supposed to turn very cold-- right now we have rain falling-leaves everywhere--
-To-day Himself and I will try to find time to clear the deck of furniture, getting ready for---"WINTER""_--

Our leaves are "falling"---the back road is absolutely gorgeous ---I even  booked to get the snow ties on our car, the end of October. Do you all need snow tires?---Living in the north where we are, they are so necessary--

Leaves everywhere ---and-----------to all the Canadians---

Hopefully Mr Porcupine has left the area---- and I can get big Beau out and little Lopez--- It is "Hair day" to-day---  (another trip to town)----

-I hope you all can make today a great day---

Yes, be totally awesome to-day--even if you are a tad weird--- it's more fun that way!

  1. Trying to be awesome today! New day, new chance to try, right!?!

Oh my, when those porcupines release their quills on an inquisitive dog, it’s not pretty!

Your son’s food looks DELICIOUS! Safe flight back home tonight.

Cold weather expected here this afternoon, too

    Happy Thanksgiving.

    HUGS and blessings

  2. Raking leaves is not a fun job especially when you have so many but they are beautiful when they change color. It looks like Son #2 had a wonderful meal at his in-laws and an added bonus of a visit. Enjoy the time having your hair done. Relax and Breathe. Hugs.

  3. Today was awesome because the little girl I watched grow up to be a surly teenager has blossomed into the most wonderful young woman, wife and mother... came to clean my house with her just as awesome husband. They make a great team together and make me feel so blessed they're in my life. Everything looks so fresh. It truly lifts the spirits. I know Sadie is you, but I hope you stop to admire her efforts. And be sure to slip her something nice in her Christmas stocking this year. Some new sheet music, maybe. Teehee. While they were here and busy I got busy folding towels and other things that have been waiting for me to make time to fold them, and put everything away. I even got all my steps today - very early in the day. I'm sure I'll sleep well tonight - in a freshly made bed too. I'm so so lucky. ((Hugs))

  4. Have an awesome day and enjoy hair day.
Raining today in front of the cold front. We desperately need rain.
Big grocery shopping trips are tiring. I try to make more frequent smaller trips.
Hoping today goes smoothly on the homefront.
Sure glad to hear you aren't preparing Thanksgiving dinner.
Be safe, stay positive and strong.
    Hugs

  5. It's Kathy. I do love Dr. Seuss, he had such a great perspective! It's chilly here as well and going to get cooler before it gets warmer. No leaves falling yet. It would be a good day to work outside - if I just felt like it! Soon we will have to start preparing for winter. I wasn't all that fond of summer this year but I do wish fall would hold out for longer! Love the food photos! How nice that your son had family to visit! Have a good day.

  6. I love Dr. Suess - I still have all of his books that I bought for my children. I also have this sign hanging in my hallway that is a quote from him - "Don't cry because it's over, Smile because it happened!"

Love pumpkin soup picture! Makes me want some! Rainy and cool day here! Days like this help me to be motivated to clean out my closets and get make piles of clothes to donate! Thinking I might even go down in basement and bring up some Halloween decorations (inside decor) and put them around the house!

  7. Great food photos, as usual.
Hair day for you! That's fun and relaxing. You need that after shopping for all that food. I am with you that hauling it all in and putting it away is the worst part of the trip. Work. And you have two floors to store your food. I just have 1 frig with an freezer up top. Sometimes I stick things around a handy corner in the bedroom (pop, bags of stuff I can find no room for, etc.)
It's windy here, too. Mid 60s, but that wind is COLD! And the leaves are blowing. We do still have some trees that haven't started turning color yet.
Sadie has done some stuff. Today I shopped for more stuff to help me transition back to being vegan: baked beans with no meat, marvelous organic spring greens salad, organic strawberries and blueberries, whole wheat English muffins, etc.
I feel good about the whole process.
Time for some exercise before my usual meditation time. You...Play the piano and I will listen.
    Above all...Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! {{{HUGS}}}

  8. Nice food pictures.Glad son #3 is cooking dinner. It's too much for you. It's definitely dark later in the morning and earlier at night. And we still have 2 months to go to the shortest day! We'ew starting with the rain tonight and it's going to be a miserable weekend from the sounds of it. Hope you had a good hair day and no more shopping today! Hope the Lodge is on tomorrow!. Have a good night. Brenda
