Lotza hugs going your way--

We have rain falling --mega wind--It is colder than cold--leaves everywhere--Also, our power flicked off and on, 3 times in the night--beginning At 3am--  I never heard it go off the first time-- but I heard Lopez bark--then broke out of his crate and ran downstairs with me right behind him. I managed to grab him (He can run like the wind)----  carried him upstairs--this time I locked his crate---  and I just crawled back to bed, and I heard the freezer  alarm beeping---  so, up I was again to turn off that alarm--  The power went off 2 more times--- then back on ---  there must be wires loose somewhere outside-- So, it was quite the night-- The good thing this morning is---  only rain is falling--NO SNOW--YET!-----

Himself is up---just up---- and as I was chatting to him in the kitchen, my arm went to show him something and over went the glass of juice I had ready for me to drink--all over the kitchen tiles--(When the children were small, and it seemed everything they touched would spill, Himself always--ALWAYS--had a "freaking fit"-- and the child would end up in tears with their Dad  very upset-)-seems like that scenario  reoccured this morning-- --So--all is mopped up once again---

"Why can't you drink your juice over the sink?"--- is what I heard----as I  cleaned up the "dastardly deed?"

Oh well----  To change the topic here, the Piano Tuner is supposed to be here at 10-30am----  The laundry is  chugging along in washer  and now I must take the 2 canines out-They are not going to like the weather outside---
Look at our trees! A lot of leaves are now on the ground--
So, I suppose our summer has ended--summer is never long enough---Fall is short--and Winter is always just too long!     Have you had time to get the winter wear out--the boots--- the long pants? That is always a challenge !
The above are pictures of Son#2's Thanksgiving Dinner--- He celebrated that at his place with his family--To-morrow is our Thanksgiving day--
You know, the above is so true--savour the moments of everyday so  you can be a great memory--like my Mom whose expressions always run thru my brain-
--Lotza hugs going your way----

P. S.---  The power just went out AGAIN__Lord Love A Duck!

  1. Where did summer go? I keep wondering the same thing! I have been dragging the patio furniture to the extra garage.....because I won't be sitting outside. Pool man came and drained the pool in order to paint it last week and has never returned.....which is very upsetting to me! No tellling how long this will be a problem because as it gets colder or rains then the paint won't dry and it needs two coats! Seems like I am always struggling with some kind of problem....but I know you know as your land line phones are your current dilemma! Seems like the older we get, the more difficult it is to solve our problems! I know we had struggles when were were younger too - but it seems like it was easier to take care of them! Oh well - I am just thankful that I am blessed to wake up to a new day! And speaking of thankful, I hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day with your family!

  2. Power problems are terrible! It's better than candlelight and fireplaces, gas lights, etc. like in 'the old days.' Like your meme, we gotta remember our blessings. I know you do that.
Your Thanksgiving will be wonderful, I am sure. Do you go 'round the table and say something you're thankful for? We used to do that after grace.
We went to karaoke last night. My local 'adopted daughters' (the ones I pet sit for sometimes) came with one of their mothers. We had the deejay who has a much larger inventory of songs. There were only a few singers, so we each got lots of song in. Laughter galore.
After not getting in bed until after 1:30 AM, I didn't have a full night's sleep. Probably had a better night than you did, though.
I plan to take a nap soon. The day after karaoke, I am kinda 'done in.' Will need to get garbage and recyclables out, though, and wash dishes. Someone is using the laundry room, so that's out for me today.
Let us know your menu for your big dinner.
Doggies will survive. Bet Sushi gets scared, too.

  4. It's Kathy. So sorry you are having trouble with your power. We are so used to everything being so automatic that it's very hard when it doesn't work! I'm glad I'm not the only one frustrated by the McDonald's app! I can't believe that last Sunday we had the A/C on - for 3 days - and today I turned on the heat! Seems we have gone from summer to winter all in one week! Daisy's not too happy about going outside these days either.

  5. Oh no on the spilled juice. Yup … my 2 always spilled something @ each meal and DH would have a fit. Now it’s HIM spilling (he has neuropathy in his hands, so it’s hard or him to hold things solidly). Sooooo, now he understands that it happens . . . not on purpose!

    Cool here, too, but no . . . *S* word, so I won’t complain!

Beautiful tree colors! And yes we have lots of leaves falling right now, too.

Yes, got the winter wear out and it IS a chore. But have it all out.

Holy Thanksgiving feast! Son #2 really had lots of food! Hope you and Himself have a good Thanksgiving tomorrow!

Awwwwww, yes, we have to make sure we leave GOOD memories. And amidst our stresses, remember our blessings.

    Hope your power stays on!

    Hugs and blessings

  6. It’s 54 and windy but sunny in Ohio. Lots of leaves but most are still green. Yours are beautiful. Your son and his family must have enjoyed that delicious meal. I know you will enjoy yours tomorrow. Thanks for sharing the nice photos. So sorry about your power. I went to the basement to get on the treadmill the other day. I just felt anxious and thought it would help. Well, two minutes on and the power went off. It was so dark and the freezer is down there. It finally came back on but not what I needed to deal with at the time. Just like your juice. Goodness! Hope your day goes well! It’s our fave day. No time for hiccups. Lol Hugs!

  7. We had rain this morning also Lynda. It only lasted until about 10AM but long enough to get me out of the mood of walking. We had winds yesterday. Our lights flickered but did not go off. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving w/your family. As we age it seems like when we get a chance to get together as a family it means so much more. Are you making pies? I can remember pictures of the pies that you would make, they always looked so good.
I always keep you and himself in my prayers.

  8. Hi Lynda: Just typed my whole message and then it disappeared! Hope your power stays on the rest of the day and you enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner! It is so annoying when the power goes on and off and the alarms go off. Your pilot son's Thanksgiving dinner looks good. At least he was home for it and not in the air somewhere. After dinner go home and play your freshly tuned piano. Hugs
