I simply don't quit!

Good  rainy day to yu---another new day--always lots going on here---The dogs have to go out AGAIN--  did not complete their mission---It isn't raining hard--- This morning I have to get some American dollars to send to OHIO--to daughter's son--He is saving for a pick-up truck--a real pick-up truck--He  had his Birthday last week, but Gramma did not get the card nor the gift $$ off yet--He just turned 14 so he has  quite a long time before that truck will appear, but good for him to begin now--

Yesterday, I figured out how to set up the "Voicemail" on the new phone system---and this AM ., there was a voicemail , and I figured out how to get into the phone and hear the message-- Lord love a Duck! --so much to remember in this life! -----so many new things to remember---and how come everything seems so complicated !--

I hate always asking my grown children how  to do all this new technology--and they hate having to repeat the "how to" stuff over and over, till my brain catches on--and they never tell me it is OK to ask them again and again--nor do they give me two million dollars--

--you know, when you are "older than old"---  your "older than old" brain is so full of "lotza stuff"---and it does get all mixed up in there--

----------------------------------------------------I must try this

I watched Biden last night and I marvelled at how well his brain is working--to me, he gave a very good speech--I wonder if they gave him two million dollars------??????

It is Friday and no Day Care for Himself---- but beginning next week, he might be going for 3 mornings a week--He really does thrive on the stimulation from that wonderful service--

and------with the above---- I must  let Sadie in ---
BRAVER----STRONGER-----and SMARTER----
WE ARE!

-Giving up on anything is not an option---asking for help---Asking the right people for help--  trying to do something a different way---There are so many options --even "sleeping on a project"---  might help our "too full brains"  to sort out all the info in there--

  1. Good morning, Lynda! It is cloudy and light rain in Ohio today and tomorrow and then the sun will shine a few days! I get my braces (trays) on Monday. I wear for 22 hours each day for a year. I have 20 trays that change so often. Some peiple have many more trays but having braces when I was young helped. I may lose weight with those things and sore teeth! Lol Sorry no daycare today but three days next week sounds promising! Good for you figuring out that phone system. You always impress me! I always stay patient with my morher when she needs assistance to figure out something. I make sure she knows it is no problem to keep asking. I need help at times so I know how it feels for someone ok to help me . Happy belated birthday to your grandson up the road from me. So smart of him to start saving for his truck. I hope you have a fabulous Friday!

    1. Are Trays--braces??-- and yers the phones are set up but I can't seem to increase the number of rings-- Lotza rain here today-Lynda

    2. I know some phones used to have a button that you choose the number of rings but not sure about now. Yes, instead of the traditional braces with the metal wires and metal brackets, several people can now just put in a plastic tray on top and one on bottom and wear them. Made just for your teeth.

  2. Lots of wisdom in your post this morning! Happy Friday and I'm so glad you found and Himself accepted the day care place! We all need a little help sometimes. I know it's hard to ask, but what a relief when it comes. I've been dragging my own feet on a few of those calls.

Happy Birthday to your very wise beyond his years grandson. Saving up for a truck, starting at 14... good news. BTW, I have a cousin who bought a HOUSE when he was 19! Which greatly impressed me (I was in my 20's at the time and nowhere close to being able to pull off such a feat).

Happy Friday, and may your weekend be a sunny one!

  3. OH my, I REALLY needed that first meme’s reminder today. He is able to lead us through this imperfect life . . .

Nah, kids aren’t interested in repeating things to you (FORGETTING how many things we repeated to THEM so they’d get it). And for sure . . . no 2 million dollars coming our way from them, either. LOLOL!

And a very Happy Birthday to your Grandson. What a smart young man to start saving now for his pic up truck.

That would be AWESOME if Himself could go to the daycare 3 days/week. Win for you and win for him. Fingers crossed, prayers said, good wishes being sent!

  4. What a positive post, Lynda
Great Himself will be having fun 3 days a week.
Yes, figuring out that new tech can be challenging. It's usually easier than we think...we make it difficult ourselves.
Remember my terrible day yesterday? After Lucky through up...a note on my door from Management saying they need a new rent check cuz the CASHIER'S CHECK I gave them came back. Called the bank, they said it's something on the organization our management pays. The lady isn't in the office today, so. Later getting up from my recliner, I stumbled and fell. Crashed into tv table, the tv rocked, hit my head. Could sit but, due to hip and groin pain, couldn't rise to my knees, etc. Paramedics came to lift me. They just got me into the chair and I was fine. Seems like half the building was out in the hall and in my apartment to check. Then just before bed, Lucky wanted to play. He jumped up on the arm of my leather office chair, it crashed. It fell into my book shelves knocking of some photos and mementos.
End of story: I slept great waking up with left rib pain.
No one tells us these things that happen when we're younger, do they.
I am determined to have a great day. Karaoke tomorrow. Maybe I won't go up on stage this time.
Hope all five of you and yours have a great day, too.
    As always, love the memes. {{{HUGS}}}

  5. Hi Lynda, it's Kathy. I'm sorry no daycare today but how great if himself can go 3 times a week. I believe that outside stimulation will do wonders for him. And I'm happy to hear you were able to get the phone thing and voice mail figured out. I'm not sure I would be able to do that. I rely so much on my husband who's so much more into technology than I am. We are having a beautiful day here today - sunshine and on the warm side. I went to Pilates this morning - first time I've left my home in 2 weeks! It felt good! Have a great day and Happy Birthday to your grandson!

  7. That is great for your grandson to save for a truck at 14! Keeping money for a truck might keep him out of mischief spending! Cool. Great that Himself can go to the Lodge 3 times next week! Too bad they did not have that several years ago. But at least you have it now!! To save on patience! Take care. It is warm, here, fans needed again.

  8. You are so Smart! Got your phones and voice mail all set up. Woot
Sorry himself couldn't do the lodge today but I'm excited that he might be able to go 3x a week next week. Seems good for him...and you.
Hoping grandson sticks with his plan to get a truck when he's a few years older. Great idea to be able to save long term for a big ticket purchase.
I could use 2 million dollars if anyone has extra.
Beautiful day in St.Louis..actually 72F today and sunny.
    Great inserts.
Hope himself is the normal regular himself.
Here's an EXTRA hug for you today.
