Yesterday, the wonderful guy who helps us out when we need repairs etc-came to stain the cedar on the house.- I had bought a gallon of stain--and he came out yesterday and stained this front wall.- He climbed up on a long ladder, which he and I had walked over to a neighbours, AND--lugged it back here---They told us we could borrow it.--It was a long very heavy extension ladder so he could reach the top of our house--It is amazing what a coat of stain can do!---It looks fabulous now!
And I did get the oil change earlier in the morning--took Lopez--- Lopez was extremely nervous being at the dealership--shivered and shook on my knee-----Maybe if I took him more often, he would feel better about being out in the big world---
Son#2, the Pilot, is in London, England right now---flew overnight---I suppose pictures of food--or the city, might arrive later on--as he ventures out. He is sleeping as I type-
Anyway, I best get moving here-----Lopez needs to go out AGAIN--- I need to buy groceries-I have a list "as long as my arm"---as Mom used to say! And if you were thinking of buying a new T-Shirt---perhaps rethink it--SAVE THE MONEY!--LOL
Stay Strong---- Smile at that person in the mirror--you can prosper in other ways--Make your health a priority!
What they say about a coat of paint (or stain!) must be true. It looks fantastic. We had great weather on Monday until that evening when storms came through - all the nice spring flowers on trees have been blown everywhere and I was out trying to do my grocery shop but dealing with a runny nose all day - allergies. Those pollens must be hanging out in the air still. It's back to winter weather again. I'm on my way to bed, but hope your day is a great one!
ReplyDeleteNow I am on my way to bed-==shortly--I wonder of you are getting up right now--??==It sounds like you have winds=--- supposed to turn cool here -Lynda
DeleteI agree about the wake up list. Some days I wonder if I'm going to be on it the next morning! Wall looks good with the stain on it. Look forward to seeing son #2's pictures. Poor Lopez. I know nothing about chihuahuas but my dog is also very nervous around a lot of other people. Sow dogs are more like that than others. Love the little girl meme. Sounds like by tomorrow night the weather is changing to colder and wetter. Have a good night. Brenda
ReplyDeleteLopez is a sweet little boy-- I do love him now--but--very different than big Beau-- I feel bad that he is so small--big attitude --little boy--cooler here this evening--nice!-- Hugs, Lynda
DeleteLoved the inserts today. You always provide a lot to ponder.
ReplyDeleteThe new stain looks great. Thats high up there! Definitely needed help with that.
Teetering on a big, long ladder eekkk. It looks good.
Lopez doesn't sound like an out in public kind of dog but, perhaps, if he went more often he wouldn't tremble but who knows.
Sounds like things are rolling along peacefully and thats Good!
Grocery store and huge list sigh and then putting it all away sigh. Hoping you'll give yourself a break after that. The piano is calling.
Cooler in St.Louis today with much cooler on the way. Outlying areas may see frost. Crazy Midwest weather....90s to 50s.
Thanks for brightening my day. Enjoy your day. Be safe
Hugs
always good to hear from you-- It was a crazy busy day-- That food order was way too large--It takes so long to get it all away doesn't it?--It is a tad cooler to-nite --- lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. Love the new stain - looks great. Looking forward to photos of England! My travel days are pretty much over. It's cooler here today as well. We were suppose to have rain but not so far. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteKathy-We are supposed to get rain also to-nite-- It is cooler already here Lynda
DeleteOh my, yes, thank God we were on the wake up list for today!
ReplyDeleteYes, sometimes the fur babies need to have an activity repeated, with assurances they’ll be al right, and they get used to it.
Wow! That is eye-opening! Just when you think you can’t cut things down (budget-wise_ anymore, there’s a way!
That wall with the new coat of stain looks wonderful!
Love the list of habits to help you prosper! Lots to learn, isn’t there.
Hugs

DeleteYour house is looking better all the time...inside and out!
ReplyDeleteThe bitty girl is adorable. Love the memes all the time.
Doggies like Lopez, I believe, are known to be 1 person dogs and nervous. Gotta love him for who he is.
Just picked up my repaired computer. Was only charged $45. Hooked it all up correctly...it works great.
Got a flu shot yesterday and have been very tired. At least I got garbage and recyclables out, dishes done, computer hooked up. started laundry sorting...
LOVE my new doctor! We connected in so many ways. I had blood drawn first. My LDL cholesterol is way up. No more Meals on Wheels or other people's cooking for me. I am going back on the plant based (vegan) diet. My new doctor just got her plant based certification. I showed her all my son's stuff online...especially youtube. She plans to watch all his videos.
All I need to do today is pick up an order at Walmart about 7.
Looking forward to London photos.
Did not get the oil chanced yet. Will make the appointment for that tomorrow.
{{{HUGS}}}

DeleteLooking forward to perhaps a London picture or two! Poor Lopez, I’ve never seen a chihuahua in my life who was not anxious and yippy. I’m glad you got the oil thing done, out of the way for awhile. You work too hard, you deserve free time at this point in your life. Take care.
ReplyDeleteOh man--I do work too hard and now, there are leaves everywhere outside- --Lynda LOL
DeleteHouse looks great Lynda..
