Today I'm gonna sit and enjoy life!

Let that happiness in!--- a brand new day---  We can choose to be happy---Lord love a Duck! On a Sunday,  do we really have a choice?

I walked  both dogs--and--they both did what they were supposed to do--It was a miracle---In my head , I was saying, "Please God, make Lopez PO"--- because Beau had already done what he was supposed to do--and-----I closed my eyes-looked up into the Heavens---gritted my teeth--- a-n-d-----

-- immediately, Lopez began to go in circles, and he did his business ---Now if you aren't too sure if there is a God in Heaven--or what----  does that tell you something--???-  (And I'm sure that now you are thinking. "She really has cracked up!"-)---  Oh well!--Whatever works I'd say!

Son#2, the Pilot, is in London---flew all night--is taking a train north to Tottenham Hale station to visit his brother-in law--and his wife-----Probably food  pictures will begin to arrive very soon--

It is Sunday----  a day to smile and laugh--AND BE STRONG_--Yesterday I raked , and raked--the septic bed-- Then I went inside and called the Grandson, and asked if he could get the leaves off the lake side of the house--for a fee, of course-- and--HE SAID ""YES--maybe to-day--or maybe to-morrow after school-"""-Yeahhhhh---!----  I've kinda had it with all these leaves!

--maybe even read my book---- and--play the piano---  funny eh?--Whenever I play the piano, both dogs fall asleep--and, I'm not even a very good piano player--

You are a fine piece of china. Don't let anyone treat you like a paper plate!--Did you ever think of yourself like that?--Did your Mom ever tell you just how special you are?--I don't even remember telling my own children that they were special--like a fine piece of China!----Why did I never do that?--- I do remember chastising each of them for silly things--like spilling their milk----all over the table and floor-
" YOU" are a fine piece of China--

The bed needs changing--Sadie (who you know is really me)--wants the day off -told me she wants to sit for a bit and enjoy her life for a bit--Remember?

  1. I love your inserts today especially the one that says not to be treated like a paper plate. It is great that your grandson will help with some of the leaves. You have such a large property and it is too much for you to do everything yourself. I hope you will be like the little girl in the insert today and sit for a bit and enjoy life. You deserve to have some down time. Take care .Hugs

  3. Loved the fine china insert. Loved all the inserts. I,too, am guilty of the chastising over spilled drinks, sadly. Seeing that posting makes me feel bad at my reaction.
Oh good that grandson will come to tackle those darn leaves. Of course its for $$ lol.
I hope you do give yourself an easy peezy day. Do what you have to and the rest will wait. Read your book. Definitely play your piano. Its sweet that the pups fall asleep during your recital. Do whatever makes you happy today. You are not a paper towel, but fine China.
Hope all is stable with himself.
    Take care, stay strong.
    Big hugs

  4. So glad that Lopez did his duties! He’s learning, isn’t he!

I hope son #2 has a wonderful visit w/his BIL and his wife.

HOPE that your grandson will help you with the leaves on the lake side of your house. That would be nice.

Awwwww, that meme about spilled milk really touched me. Yes, for sure, sometimes we ‘lose it’ with our kids when they spill milk, or whatever. Have to remember how it affects their SPIRITS. Really, they want to please us. I tell my grown kids this all the time . . . they’re special. I think they hear it. That’s good.

Hugs and here’s to a great week ahead.

    Hugs

  5. It's Kathy. That's my plan for today, just sit and enjoy the day. I made the mistake of watching the news this morning - the world is a messy place and I want no part of it. I am finally starting to feel better but had another very restless night's sleep. I can't stop coughing when I lay down - but maybe I'll be able to have a little nap today. Wish I was more like Daisy - she sleeps anywhere, anytime! The weather guy says we should be getting sunshine by afternoon but I'm not sure - it's pretty bleak outside! Hope you get to relax today!

  6. That spilled milk one is so true, but guess we all snapped at times. Tired and out of sorts. Glad you take some rest time, time we have left gets shorter as we age, why spend so much of it cleaning cleaning? One life to live. How nice your son has relatives to visit in Enhland, that is good use of his time, too. Look forward to meal pictures!

We had a little sun, but yesterday was chilly and rainy. Waves very high on Lake Michigan. I cooked some apples with cinnamon and a little sugar. Always yummy!

  9. My grandson is here mowing for me as I type this! He is all bundled up as it is very chilly and windy today! I know he is cold as he came in and got another jacket! I was afraid it might be too wet to mow, but he said it seems ok - we have had rain for the past two days - which has also screwed up the pool that was just given it's second coat of paint. Now there is water in the deep end again that will need to be pumped out! Always something to go wrong! I am resting today as I cleaned house and did all the floors and I am paying for it today with a sore hip! I know my four kids spilled stuff, but I sure don't remember how I reacted.....seems like I forget a lot of things from the past! Glad your grandson is coming to help you too! Well worth the money! The reason my grandson is mowing today is because he needs gas money! hahaha! I am happy to pay him as he gets it done in a little over 2 hours whereas it takes me 4 hours! Love the paper plate/china analogy.....we must always remember that our children and grandchildren are "fine china"!

  10. Lynda...son visiting his bro-in-law and wife? Would that be his sister and her husband? No your daughter is in Ohio. Seems like an unusual relationship.
Did it again yesterday: commented on your post and did not click to 'publish' it. Once or twice I read your post and need to do something, so I stop and come back later or forget to.
    Funny how aging affects us.
I'll be you have very strong arm muscles from all that raking!
Will look forward to food photos.
Karaoke last night was marvelous! Lotsa friends, wonderful music (mostly....there's sometimes strange stuff sung by the millennials). My 2 'adopted' daughters bought a pizza for us to share.
Such a late night. Bedtime was 1:30 AM.
Our rain is finally gone, and we now have a mix of clouds and SUN! Under 50F, though.
Still want to hear you play the piano. What music do you play?
    Til tomorrow {{{HUGS}}}
