"Just do it!"

Good thing there is always another day--and, good thing one can just go to bed and wake up and find that"stuff" is falling into place----

WE NOW HAVE OUR OLD PHONE NUMBER---before  it could be "ported" over to the new provider, there had to be a request from the new provider to the old provider-- That was the frustrating part--to get the new provider to do that--but--this morning it is done--  The daughter called and was using our old number--FINALLY----It was difficult to do all this phone business, but it is nice to know that we now have a solid line,  even when the power goes out--and when I go to town and take my cell phone, Himself has a connection to the outside world!

AND--yesterday, I drove  to town, to go to the Health Clinic, to meet my new Doctor-- went upstairs in the building-- and the receptionist said the "HE HAD GONE"-----so, that issue needs to be resolved--
sometime--
I thought the above is worth thinking about---   very interesting--
so----  ever onward here--We do have mega rain falling-- It is cool outside--- cloudy----  BUT--THE LEAVES ARE RAKED--LOL--before any snow falls--One must always think of the positives!

Do you remember going to McDonald's  years and years ago, when it first opened--????--We used to feed 5 children AND US, for $5.00    --unbelievable!!!
I must get on with the day here---- I need to tell you to be POSITIVE---  so hard to be that way when everything seems like a huge mess--but--with a ton of patience and a good night's sleep, and a great BELL TELEPHONE WORKER, life does work out--eventually----

  1. Hi! Family life got really crazy the last coupla weeks but I'm back for the moment. About your doctor... what did she mean? Did he die? And if he wasn't in the office why didn't they ... oh, your phones. Because they should have tried contacting you to let you know. How frustrating to drive all the way into town and have to drive all the way home again with petrol prices the way they are these days. For me, 'town' or the city, actually, is about 45 minutes away if driving but an hour or longer on the bus - which I use rather than driving. The bus is free for me but it'd be half a tank of petrol if I drove. Anyway, sending you love and hugs - my birthday was lovely and I have a nice new fancy door lock that I can unlock with my phone from the car - or a code at the door, or several other ways as well. Never thought I'd have one of those but people thought it was a good idea because even if I couldn't get out of bed, I could unlock it to let help in. It also has a key as a failsafe so I feel pretty confident about it. I have to get it set up all the way but I was too tired this afternoon to do it, so tomorrow I'll have a good play with it.

  3. It's Kathy. That first girl was definitely me this morning. In fact, I got up, took care of Daisy, sat down to see the weather and saw that she went back to bed with her Dad... so I did too! Had a funny dream that Daisy was driving a hot rod and having a hard time keeping it on the right road! That's when I woke up about 1 1/2 hours later. Guess I really needed the extra sleep. I'm so glad you got your old phone number finally. Too bad they didn't make it a priority for you. And how frustrating to show up at a new doctor's office to find him not there! I hope you can work that out. I am finally feeling a bit better but oh that cold took a lot out of me! And now Halloween is just around the corner! Where did fall go??? Have a wonderful day.

  4. I must be old! I remember prices like that menu from McDonalds!

Glad you got the phones up and running. See? Stronger than you think!

I'm trying to get braced for keeping Carl here, starting Saturday, while his paw-rents head out on a little side-trip to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The world may be blowing up, but life goes on for us here, and us stopping would not really move the world forward, either, would it?

  5. How frustrating that the doctor left before you could even meet him. Hopefully you can get another one set up and they confirm before you go. Since doctors are so hard to find these days, unfortunately we can't tell them off. May you get another appointment real soon. Hope himself gets to the Lodge tomorrow morning. Glad you finally got Bell to finish the job and you have working phones! Have a good night. Hugs Brenda

  6. That doctor not being there is not as un I’m en these days, even with all of the fancy phones. Lots of businesses do not call, care, ess workers, or bosses, just don’t care. They take their clients for granted, make money any way, so does not bother them. So sorry for your drive. Hope Himself goes to the lodge tomorrow, and you can do something. Did you get your hair done today?

  7. Leaves and phone done...that's great, but you missed your new doctor? That's a let down!
I have a new one...Dr Bailey, my ER physician. BP has fluctuated so much (yesterday 81/35), trouble using the bathroom, SO tired. Today BP still low but better. They did a bladder scan and took blood. Labs are within normal range...am I becoming a hypochondriac? He did say it's the start of virus season, and it was likely a virus.
After, went to Walmart for a couple things, cam out AND MY KEY FOB would not open the car! Went back in to Auto...they couldn't help, but sent me to Electronics. The sweet young man there opened the fob, went to the front for batteries, changed it...and I was finally able to get back home. A couple minutes, Lucky threw up twice on the living room rug!
Sweetheart, I hope you have a better day then I have had!
I figure after today, the next month of Sundays will be wonderful. I really resonated with the Liz meme! Now Lucky is crying. Gotta see what he wants...maybe just play with one of his wands. Then I am gonna take a nap!
