Laugh, Love, Live-

NEVER---- EVER-----give up---  just try----  and--if someone comes to help yu--- that is good too--

It has been a very busy morning-- AND,  WE HAVE SNOW FALLING---lightly--but----  it is definitely in the air. Coming back from taking Himself to daycare, the highway was lightly covered in snow----  Yes, it is Monday morning----and the man of the house is where he is supposed to be--at DAYCARE ---When I got home, Lopez and I hoofed it up the road--in his PARKA---and bless his soul, he did his business----

Why does everyday seem busy?---I just love days that there is no-one to take somewhere--days that I can actually get a nap in, in the afternoon--well, I read my book, on the sofa--while Himself sleeps--But  it would be so good to have nothing to do, for a week--or so--???

I suppose one must go on vacation to ever have that!--Do people actually ever go on vacation anymore?----We used to---not anymore-- In fact, I really do not want to travel anymore---  I just cannot imagine, sitting on an airplane---  Could I even find my way thru an airport?-----How do you all feel about travelling --like--now???

Do strong  women travel at a strong women's age?--- LOLOL----  I suppose some do--You think?

Well, Sadie is screaming at the door--She says, just a light dusting and  a fast clean-up, to-day---I best let her in--

Yes, we MUST REMEMBER TO BE AWESOME to-day-----a short blog here----   must help Sadie---(who, as you know, is really me!)-

I see that  some Pilots are announcing that they deserve more recognition---maybe more benefits and more "Sheckles"-(as Dad used to say)----a high stress job they have for sure---

  1. LOVE that advice to never EVER give up and accept help. Wise, wise, wise.

Glad this is a daycare day for Himself. A little time for yourself (well, I guess not really, but maybe a little).

You know, DH and I were just talking about that. We are glad that we traveled when younger and could enjoy it. We’re content to be homebodies now. Well, of course, we like to get out but don’t need to make cross-country treks.

Sadie is right . . . light dusting and fast clean up.

Pilots DO deserve more recognition, and so do the cabin attendants (whatever the politically correct term is anymore). And that recognition should translate to more sheckles!

Hope you have a good Monday and that Sadie doesn’t work too hard!

    Hugs

  2. Have a great Monday. Hope Sadie doesn't work too hard.
Himself at daycare is good for both of you. Take a wee nap this afternoon.
Never did do a lot of travel but did enjoy when I went. Airports are daunting with all the rules on boarding and baggage and airplanes aren't very comfortable. Im content at home.

  3. With you 100% about longing for days without errands or appointments.....
But I do still travel - it is hard traversing through airports by myself, but I live in IL and my youngest son is in CA so I try to fly out there at least twice a year to see him as it is much harder for him and his wife and young son (my youngest grandson) to come to see me with their work and school and ball games, etc. Plus I have also taken the opportunity to travel with a group from my church...we went to Italy last September and it was such an awesome trip! And I have friends who invite me to travel with them to Florida at least once a year. Also am taking my first bus trip next week with a friend to North Carolina.....kind of dreading the long bus ride - but I know life is short and some day I might be unable to travel, so I am taking advantage what life offers me now. After my dear hubby and I both retired, we began to travel - went to Ireland! And had plans to do much more - but as you know, he passed away 4 years ago and I was so lost without him. Keeping busy and traveling alone or with friends has helped me to appreciate each new day and opportunites that come my way!

  4. It's Kathy. I'm so glad Himself is now looking forward to going to Daycare. He can socialize with other people and you can have some quiet time. My husband teaches an art class on Thursday evenings - I signed up this session to spend time with him. I find that I actually miss those quiet evenings by myself! In my job, I had to travel a lot - several times a month. I didn't mind the flights but I hated the whole before and after! Now I can't even imagine flying again. And I'm also not all that excited to think about traveling at all. My granddaughter graduates this spring from high school and it's a 1250 mile road trip for us (my husband DOES NOT fly - ever). Some preparation will have to be made before that trip! Oh, and we're expecting that snow about 7 pm tonight! Have a lovely day!

  5. Great blog, Lynda.
Yes, many of our helpers deserve more sheckels...more recognition: pilots, bus drivers, cabbies, police and fire protection. Not to mention all the folks in the healthcare profession. During the height of covid, many businesses around here had signs out front, "Heroes work here."
Almost a do nothing day for me. Dishes, shopping. Must exercise, too. Haven't really done so since the day I fell. Ribs on left side are still painful. I will stop the therapy exercises if I need to and get on my exercise bike.
No snow here, but well below freezing. Car windows were all iced over. Haven't looked at the forecast yet to see if we are due for snow soon.
Our maintenance man just came up to cover my air conditioner. Now it won't be so drafty sitting in my recliner by the windows. Talk about helpers! He does almost everything for us...outside, inside maintenance, and he's not above helping the individuals who live here, either.
Happy Himself is at daycare. Bet that will help his mood for the whole day.
Trust that as Lopez did his thing, Beau did, too. Hope his paw is almost healed, too.
All for now. On to dishes and Walmart. And Lucky is acting like he wants me to play with him, too.

  6. Sounds like a lovely start to your Monday... go let Sadie in and enjoy the fruits of her (your) labor in peace. It's a good thing other people *do* still travel, for your Son #2's job security, isn't it? But I haven't been traveling since 2019. And am not particularly anxious to do so, either.

  7. Have not been on a plane since 1977, went to Germanyl. Could not afford to fly anymore, plus all the delays. Still have some relatives there. Have not been in a grocery store since Covid. Just Costco twice. Order online for delivery, no car, no driving. Go if you can, while you can, folks. Thanks for Amazon delivery. Adult kids work long hours, hate to bother them just to go to a store. Time for kitchen work! Hope you pick up Himself ok!

  8. Hi Lynda: Glad himself went to daycare and is liking it more. Haven't travelled in 4 or 5 years since all my travel companions passed. And i don't have the mobility to travel alone now. We have to stay strong just to survive these days! Have a good night. Hugs Brenda

  9. It's cold and 37 tonight in Ohio. I was Sadie all day and got on the treadmill. I will be ready for bed in awhile. I don't like to travel. I had a panic attack several years ago in construction about an hour from home. Not to mention, so many impaired drivers on the road. It all just makes me anxious. I haven't been more than an hour radius in years. It bothers me to feel this way but it is also safe and I love being at home too. Hope your day was wonderful!

    2. No, I just became that way about 7 years ago after I had that panic attack away from home in heavy traffic and construction. My husband was driving but it was still awful! It actually made me agoraphobic for awhile. That was extra bad!

    3. That must've been just terrible--I understand panic attacks---just so terrible--- sometimes going thru airports send me into one-- but--yu seem to know and are dealing with it-- Lynda

    4. I have never flown. Have always been claustrophobic. I am working on the travel issues but when covid hit that set me back a lot. I stay strong and take baby steps. I also carry medicine just in case I get in a bind.
