"Stay strong and carry on----"

"Just wing it"---  do not allow your feathers to get ruffled over little things---The weather is not the best, but, it could be worse-----and, it is going to get worse--one day soon---

Lopez and Beau have been out--We have kinda a rain/snow mix falling from the sky--OMG!~----  Now it is SNOW falling--- Lord love a Duck!--Holy Cow!!! ---

The above just about sums  all my wishes up for you to-day--"THINK POSITIVELY"---"BE STRONG"--"BE HAPPY"--"FORGIVE AND NEVER FORGET"--

Today, I am going grocery shopping for----BANANAS---plus whatever else "tickles my fancy"----

With this Heart Murmur--- (which I never knew I had!)---I shall not be buying ice cream--or donuts --or-G'ale-----not that  my new shopping habits will make any real difference-but-- I suppose if I don't try to eat healthy, things could get worse ---You know, my Mom  never had store bought goodies in the house-- We had a lot of oranges,-- no chips ever----We made popcorn, and made a cake once in awhile --or Mom made bread-- " Pop "--was not available much then-- I remember my friend across the street always had store bought cookies in her Mom's cupboard and once in awhile I would sneak one_

Life has changed so much --- I remember we had a telephone , always in the kitchen--and it was a huge deal, when we had a phone that attached to the wall, with a very long cord---no TV for yrs and yrs--and when it finally came to our house, it was a black and white picture--an "ADMIRAL" TV, I believe--

---  This afternoon, will be like a  " SMONDAY_"---------------crazy thought----the time  one begins to  think about to-morrow--
BUT-----to-day------You and me--------  WE GOT THIS!-----Maybe we shall spend to-day, just doing nothing--- maybe dance a little-----even sing---or go back to bed---It's our choice!

  1. Good Morning, great inserts today. (as always) When you think back to what we didn't have as children compared to what they have now I believe we were the lucky ones. We don't have snow falling yet but I'm sure it is coming soon. Enjoy your day and thanks for all the reminders of days gone by.

    1. Brought back childhood memories Lynda...
We have some light rain falling in SW Illinois, very cloudy and chilly, about 45 degrees F. Usually rains on Halloween..lol.
Have a terrific week and good luck today with the grocery shopping.

  2. Good morning, as usual I love your inserts. Thank you for your morning CHEER session. I love the positivity.
Thanks for the memories. Our childhood experiences and memories are similar.
Enjoy today. Stay positive. Nah...chips, ice cream, pop...they don't provide nutrition. As expensive as everything is, I find it even more important to make healthy choices at the store.
Play your piano. Be well and safe.
    Hugs

  3. It's Kathy. I like the idea of a Smonday! Daisy has been out a couple of times - it feels a bit milder today. But she's still not very happy with things. I'm off soon to make some Beef Vegetable soup in my slow cooker. Should have started sooner but just can't seem to get myself going today! Hope you have a lovely Sunday!

  4. Lynda, it is a day to do (almost) nothing for me. The day after karaoke I am really tired.
It wasn't like last year. Then they had the people in costume come up and sing. This year there were SO MANY...they couldn't do it. They just called up the top 10 in costume (I was one), announced the top 3 to win a prize (not me)...and that's all. I never got to sing "My Way." In fact all night I only got in 2 songs! My local 'adopted daughters' were sick and didn't come. Neither did the lady downstairs I usually take with me. All together, it was only a so-so night.
I have sent you a photo of me in costume. I forgot to bring my dog, though!
Cold here. Just barely above freezing. It will be below that tonight. Last night there was actually light snow. Got my down coat and boots ready. Have a collapsible shovel to use to get to my car and a windshield cover those local 'daughters' bought me for Christmas last year.
Just took acetaminophen and will crawl back in bed soon.
This is only the beginning of the week. The rest will be great. My Law of Attraction team posted today, "Think only thoughts of health." Of course, the thoughts we think are what we get. Sometimes it's hard for me, though.
    Cheers, honey. Hope you all have a great day and a great week ahead. {{{HUGS}}}

  5. If I get dementia, I’d like my family, friends and Carers to hang this wish list up on the wall where I live. I want them to remember these things.
    💛🤗💛🤗💛
    1. If I get dementia, I want my friends and family to embrace my reality.
    💛💛💛
    2. If I think my spouse is still alive, or if I think we’re visiting my parents for dinner, let me believe those things. I’ll be much happier for it.
    💛💛💛
    3. If I get dementia, don’t argue with me about what is true for me versus what is true for you.
    💛💛💛
    4. If I get dementia, and I am not sure who you are, do not take it personally. My timeline is confusing to me.
    💛💛💛
    5. If I get dementia, and can no longer use utensils, do not start feeding me. Instead, switch me to a finger-food diet, and see if I can still feed myself.
    💛💛💛
    6. If I get dementia, and I am sad or anxious, hold my hand and listen. Do not tell me that my feelings are unfounded.
    💛💛💛
    7. If I get dementia, I don’t want to be treated like a child. Talk to me like the adult that I am.
    💛💛💛
    8. If I get dementia, I still want to enjoy the things that I’ve always enjoyed. Help me find a way to exercise, read, and visit with friends.
    💛💛💛

    11. If I get dementia, treat me the way that you would want to be treated.
    💛💛💛
    12. If I get dementia, make sure that there are plenty of snacks for me in the house. Even now if I don’t eat I get angry, and if I have dementia, I may have trouble explaining what I need.
    💛💛💛
    13. If I get dementia, don’t talk about me as if I’m not in the room.
    💛💛💛
    14. If I get dementia, don’t feel guilty if you cannot care for me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It’s not your fault, and you’ve done your best. Find someone who can help you, or choose a great new place for me to live.
