If I had a million dollars--

Good day to you all--  coolish here--no rain--OR SNOW however--  Lopez and Beau did their  business-- (That is a good thing)- Himself is at Daycare--so---I have a wee bit of time to chat with you all-

This afternoon , we (Himself and I) go to get another Covid shot, plus a flu shot--Have any of you had these new shots?--Are you going to get them?-- Because of our age, we are going--I think the Covid must be Shot #6--

So, yesterday, I saw a  Garden home, which I liked very much--a rental-- but--(that big "butt":)-there are stairs --then I saw a lovely clean 3 bedroom, small house, all on one level--freshly painted--clean--and very nice--I liked that home also----  so-- if we decide to sell in the Spring, there are places to move into-- These places are owned by "Retirement Living"  --a company in Elliot Lake , who keep rentals --Every time someone moves out , they are painted, any repairs are done--and cleaned-- I used to work for this company--I was a Tour Guide--showing prospective rentals around the city here--

-------------always---  VERY BUSY------crazy as it is----- You know, I wake up at 5am--lie in bed going over in my head what I have to do that day----Do you all do that?

-I must continue on here--a bit of vacuuming to do, and maybe I can hit a grocery before picking Himself up at 12-15am--

--my wee bit of laughter for today---  Imagine eh?----- sucking the fun out of someone else's day---?
--  but----- you know we are rich--in so many ways--We live where we do---  in a safe country---We are alive--- We are strong-----  and we are good people-- I mean, what more could we ask for ---?-----Well--It would be nice to have a million dollars--  like --in that song--"Is I Had a Million dollars"--
anyway---- I am sending hugs your way----I am hoping that you  can be stronger than strong to-day--

  1. No snow, but lots and lots of rain. Cool. BUT no snow. I can handle that.

Have had both the Covid and Flu shots as of this past Sunday. Now, have to wait for the RSV vaccination. Just am not going to chance getting sick. Good luck!

Well, glad you feel you have some options should you sell in the Spring. That’s good news.

Yes, even when I look like I’m resting, the brain is NOT! I get it. So glad that DH is @ his daycare and you can get shopping, etc. done. PHEW.

    Sending many hugs!

  2. Hope you had a restful morning. So glad you have found some places that would be nice to move into when, and if, you sell your place. Had to smile at the thought of giving someone a straw to suck out the happiness from people - - don't you think that is what all the negative comments on social media are for? Those people must be very unhappy and delight in making others like that also. If they can suck a bit of happiness out of any situation, they feel superior to that person and are happy. Sad that they feel that way!

Have a fantastic afternoon and enjoy the fall weather. D

  3. I am happy that you found some options where you could move if you decide your property is just too much. Worth looking into. With all the snow, I hope you get more help this coming winter.
With Himself at day care you will have a little leisure, he will enjoy himself and come home with things to tell you and in a better mood. Lunch with Himself today?
It has been raining here for almost 24 hours. It will rain for nearly 24 hours more, then just cloudy. We won't see sun 'til Sunday.
Probably, if the laundry room isn't too crowded, more laundry today. Can you imagine 2 old washers and 2 old dryers for THIRTY APARTMENTS?!
Back on the plant based diet. Had a marvelous supper last night: Mixed organic lettuces topped with Bush's vegetarian baked beans, onion and tomato. No dressing is need with the bean juice. It was even tastier than I remembered it.
    All for now. Trust that your day will proceed perfectly and I will, too. {{{HUGS}}}

  4. It's Kathy. It's raining here "raining cats & dogs" my mother would say. That makes Daisy very unhappy. She did go out this morning to do her business but I doubt I'll be able to coax her out again until after dinner. She hates the rain! It makes me want to go lay down and just listen to the rain on the roof! I'm glad you liked the homes you looked at yesterday. It gives you some options. My husband is an artist and uses most of the basement as his art studio - I don't think we could go into anything smaller although that would be nice. Less space to clean! The snoopy on the dog hours roof - that is my husband. His brain works overtime. Not me so much! I hope you enjoyed your time alone today. I kind of like it when my husband has someplace to be - this morning he's at the art center and it's so peaceful! Have a good day!

  5. Yes - I got my flu and covid booster and Dr. said I needed a tetanus shot too! So got flu and tetnus in his office on Sept. 1st and went back for the Covid a week later. Did fine with the first two shots, but the Covid booster #6 made made my arm really sore and I did not feel well for a couple of days....not sick, sick.....just blah and a little weak and not usual self.
Glad you got to visit the Garden rentals! Gives you some options to think about!
And yes - referring to your blog yesterday, the situation in Israel is so sad and overwhelming to think about. I can't watch the news now as it is such a terrible situation and I basically feel helpless because we can't change what has happened.

  6. Good morning, raining hard in St.Louis. Blustery weekend forecast. I need to get errands done but not in this rain.
Yay himself at center. Oh yes, I'm planning my day at 5am. Lol
We got flu and Covid shots last Sunday. No issues whatsoever. Tiny bit of sore arm but no big deal. Will check with Dr. about RSV and pneumonia for hubs as he has lots of health issues.
Glad you found some housing options if you choose that route.
Do hope you have reliable help lined up for the snow. Predicting a rough winter here sighhh.
    Enjoy your breather free time.
Loved the inserts. I'm like Snoopy...nope.not resting...making lists.
I wish I had a million dollars. One lucky person won a billion yesterday. Cant even imagine that but its fun to try.
    Be safe and well.

  7. The place that is all one level sounds like a good one. Do you have to sign up for it? Can anyone tell you how much a caregiver would cost for at your house now,? And at some date, a house cleaner for a house with stairs, how much would that cost? If you are staying there, find out what the cost would be, just to have it in your mind. And all the snow removal, the people that come to your house, what would that go for? Where we used to live where it snowed, it was almost a hundred dollars just for the driveway and a bit in the front. Maybe your sons would do it. Our ages make it not easy to think about added costs….Reminds me to buy sacks of sand for the ice, here in Texas, the ice is bad. Sigh, can’t keep away from extra costs.

  8. Howdy. I would snap that freshly painted one up now, if I were you! Why wait? You said you don't have to sell your place right away!

How nice hubby is at Daycare! A bit of breathing room.

Yes, I got my COVID and flu awhile back, maybe 3 weeks ago, or 4? It was a doozy. I had a fever the next day, and had to take it easy, both arms hurt REALLY bad, but it was just for a day.

No, I don't much worry about the next day or any of that, I just live in the moment, for the most part. :)

  9. I had my Covid shot on Monday, and Tuesday I was knocked flat. I had my flu shot a couple of weeks back, and it didn't do me in. Weather front is also knocking me out today. Between that and seeing entirely too much world news... it's been kind of a downer of a week.

I think the shots in Canada are different company/formulation from the ones here in the states? Anyway, I hope your experience is gentler than mine was.

  10. Hi Lynda: got my flu shot yesterday but they don't have the Covid shots yet. Thought about the RSV shot also as y lungs aren't the best. Apparently it costs $300. and OHIP doesn't cover it! Small bungalow sounds good as no stairs to worry about. Since you worked for the company you should be able to be kept in mind when they have others come up if you don't want it now. Still think it may be better to stay in your home for now as it may be too hard on himself to move. Hope himself enjoys daycare today. Have a good night. Hugs Brenda

  11. PHOENIX1949

I'm scheduled for Covid vaccination and flu shot tomorrow. Spouse had both two weeks ago but I was dealing with my second surgery that week related to my April cancer diagnosis/treatment so delayed. On the 20th I will get the results of recently surgical biopsy; and plans for what's next in this challenge. Hopeful that it will show I'm cancer-free for now and go into maintenance phase of treatments.

Next week Monday my spouse meets for results of his radiation treatments for cancer; also hopeful that he will test cancer-free for now and go into maintenance phase of treatments.

Finally we got some heat relief here in Central Texas. This week has been delightful weather-wise and the person we hired to clean up our flower beds has done a very nice job. It's difficult to find someone responsible that shows up and gets the job done in these parts these days.

Single-level cottage sounds like a good match should you actually decide to make a move.

We had a golf-ball size hailstorm two weeks ago and have a roofer coming by tomorrow for estimates for the insurance company. The hail also beat up our gutters. Oh, the joys of ho-MOAN-ership.

    Hugs.
