Exercise? I thought you said EXTRA FRIES

I need to read the above this AM---It  has been busy--plus Himself  kinda difficult this morning--He is at his Day Program--I drove him in and they had the cafeteria set up for them to play "Chair tennis--with Balloons and huge  fly swatters--It looked like fun----Our daughter will pick him up at noon so I have a bit of time to vacuum -- with Sadie--that wonderful cleaning Lady , who as you know, is really me--LOL

Son #2 has departed  for home--(I think I told you)-with Gerrard , their dog. Sad to see them go ---  --And we have a rainy buggy day here to-day. There are SO so many mosquitoes---  but, we sure have had tons of rain this Spring.

Yesterday I clipped the trees branches going down the stairs to the lake---  All the bushes are on either side of the steps and the branches hang over the steps--As you trim,. you must not fall down the hill--It is a horrible job for sure.

You know, I never ever saw my Mom cut grass--or any outside work--Dad did it all--  I guess that is why I always feel sorry for myself when I am out there , cutting back the jungle--kinda silly I guess.

Yes, I shudda been a rock star for sure---

Sadie is here---so--for now----I am off of here and  going to get to the "housey" stuff---One of these days I must get to the grocery store also---It seems that I am always there---and----  I do need to get out exercising also---too much take out food when  visitors  are here---

  1. It's Kathy. Enjoy your daughter and grandchildren! It's so wonderful to be able to spend time with family and it goes by way too fast! We are having a hot and somewhat humid day today, I'm sure the A/C will be on shortly. I do want to get outside and put down a bit more grass seed in the patch that I seeded a month ago - more rain is coming for the holiday. I'm actually looking forward to a quiet Forth of July! Have a great day!

  2. HOPE your DD is able to maybe mitigate Himself’s bad mood a little! And hope that being @ Day Care helps, too.

Safe travels to your DS #2.

Don’t feel alone. I am the chief grass cutter, bush trimmer and weed puller here, too. Just glad I have the strength and stamina to do it.

    You ARE a rock star.

Enjoy your DD and grandkids’ company.

    Hugs

    1. Oh Barb--He came home from that Day Program quite happy-- so good!--So you have to do the yard work also??--Its hard to do inside work AND outside stuff-- Lynda

    2. Lynda: YES! This time of the year, the inside work kinda goes to heck in a handbasket, but . . . I'll catch up. Not easy, but for sure, glad I can still do it. I will say, meals in the summer season are a lot more simple . . . things like tuna or chicken salad, pasta salads. . . It works!

hugs and hang in there. glad Himself cheered up1

  3. Sis, you exercise plenty with all the work you do...especially the outside stuff! I do know what you mean, though. I'm back to my elliptical exercise bike every couple days, and my strength training with my dumb bells and resistance band a couple times a week.
I know you miss your family. Did you see my late post last night? Could that possibly be why Himself is ornery...cuz they all left?
Beautiful hot and sunny day here, but we are expecting heavy rain the rest of the week. Those wanting to BBQ tomorrow on Independence Day may have a hard time.
I am making a fruit salad for our get together tomorrow. Saturday I go to my daughter's and Sunday one of my 'adopted' local daughters is doing my car...new spark plugs, wipers, fluids, etc.
These are busy days for us.
We will get through them just fine cuz, as you are always reminding us, we are strong.
I never did our outside stuff, either, beyond a bit of weeding and sweeping now and then.
Lucky needs me now...and I love it. I will sign off now and check back later.
Hope you can rest and rejuvenate with Himself later on. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie.

  5. Hi Lynda, I rolled at extra fries vs exercise. Love it.
    You ARE a Rockstar!
Linda, I was always the grass cutter, bush trimmer etc. So was my mom. Hhmm we must have done something wrong.
Good that daughter is picking up Fred. I hope he enjoyed his tennis game..sounds fun. Hope he returns home in a better mood.
We had thunderstorms and heavy rains overnight and until about noon today. Muggy as all get out. More of the same predicted for tonight and tomorrow morning. My city has a big parade tomorrow and they've already delayed it by an hour based on forecast. At least the people with fireworks will be rained out tonight but they'll just use them at the first opportunity even though it's only supposed to be tonight and the 4th. It will go on for months. People pool money in neighborhoods and spend thousands of dollars on fireworks. Crazy.
Glad daughter will be around a bit longer. None of the kids nor grands used your dock so far this year. Trimming along those steps sounds dangerous. Be very careful out there.
Enjoy every minute with daughter and grands.
    Hugs and blessings

  6. Hi Lynda! Happy to hear your daughter was picking Himself up from his program and give you extra time. I'm sure you needed it. I bet he enjoyed the tennis. We got a nice heavy rain here in Ohio today. It didn't last long but just enough to water my flowers and shrubs so that was nice! I do the same stuff like trimming bushes and all even though I would do much for if I wasn't afraid of frogs and snakes. LOL Yes, exercise and more fries sound a lot alike. Funny! Enjoy your evening!

  7. Hi Lynda: I'm really late. I'm glad himself is in a mood when you're daughter is there as she never thinks there is a problem. How long is she staying? Guess tomorrow is their holiday. You'll be tired out after everyone leaves! The chair tennis sounds like fun. Hope he liked it. And hopefully it stops raining soon. You've had enough this year! Have a good night. Brenda
