Life is a gift!

Good morning----  Lord love a Duck! It sure has been busy here--AND--I LOVE EVERY MINUTE!--

One car load has departed-Son#2 , the Pilot , with his lovely wife--who seemed to spend most of her time, chopping in the kitchen, getting ready for the next meal, and his  fabulously  very calm dog, Gerrard--Lordy Be--I miss them like crazy!--I sent them home with a few pictures , which were hanging on our walls, painted by Linda Finn, a famous artist from here--Here is our daughter, and son#2's wife, all decked out in BUG HATS , waiting to watch the fireworks in town last night-Sad to see them go-----
And we even had a Birthday Party while all were here--Son #4 hosted it --with wonderful food and we all were there--

at son #4s, above, around his pool--

Below--  at daughter's B and B---  waiting for fireworks

Below--- here we are--Lopez on my lap--with Grandchildren

-So many pictures--the kids hate me posting them--=so--I'll stop--  so so hard to see these families go to their parts of the world--It sure has been a wonderful few days--This is what life is all about--
-and you all in the US now  have your Holiday soon ---  Lucky you----

I sure will miss all these people--that WE CREATED!!----- but-----at my age---  Himself and my age, we must ration one's excitment I guess!

Remember to be strong---  that you ARE stronger than you believe---big hugs---

  2. More summer memories! You have such a beautiful and vibrant family, and it is a testimony to how you raised your kids that they all want to come home to be with you every summer. Thank you for sharing these gatherings with us -- it has been so much fun to watch the grandkids as they grow up.

  3. Wonderful photos, Lynda! What a wonderful time you had!
I still don't know if I'll be going to my daughter's for our holiday where her mother-in-law is visiting from Florida (with her new boyfriend! Her spouse passed from Alz a few years ago)...or just popping in for our meal in the Community Room here. Maybe both if Cindy isn't doing something 'til the weekend.
I'd better get Sadie busy, cuz you'll need her more than I do soon. I would think you and himself (and the pets!) may need a bit of calm and quiet before Sadie gets busy.
So happy you're happy! I am, too. That's the goal...to live a happy life! {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

    2. He has a reason, dear...but it's in his mind and only he knows what it is. Maybe he's upset because his family left?

    3. Marti here, hate having to type that all the time, LOL. Glad you had an enjoyable time. I feel sad for you, I well recall that feeling when my beloved Grandmother would come to visit my mom and I when I was a child, and how sad I was when she would leave. I know that when you have dementia, change is very hard for you. It is probably that. It will pass, that's all you have to remember, it will pass.

  4. It's Kathy. I love all the pictures. Family is a gift and it's so nice that they were able to visit for awhile. But I know it's sad when they leave. We said goodbye to my daughter's family on Friday night because we wanted to leave really early on Saturday for the long drive home. I cried as we drove away, and for a good part of Saturday I had tears in my eyes. But we will be able to see them just for a day later in August. They live so far away and my husband, so far, won't fly. But this time the drive was harder so maybe next time he's do it! Enjoy your family! Yes, Life is a Gift!!!

  5. Yes I love it when my family gathers here with me or when we are together somewhere - a restaurant, one of their houses or even when I have been on vacation with one or more of their families. I am so glad you are enjoying every minute of your time with your kids that do not live close by! I always feel sad and lonely for a while after they leave, but then I get back into my regular daily routines and I am fine.

  6. Hi Lynda: Great pictures. It's so nice when family gets together. Too bad the pilot and family had to leave already. And I guess your daughter and her family won't be there too much longer. At least everyone had a good time. Enjoy the time left with all that are still there. Have a good night. Brenda

  7. Hi Lynda, I love all the pictures of your vibrant family. It's a testimony to you and Fred that the 2 kids living far away still want to come home. It's great you had BD parties and swimming in sons pool and you didnt have to be cooking constantly. We love seeing pictures of the kids and dogs. I know you miss pilot son and family but he'll be back. Daughter will likely have to leave in a few more days too. Stay in today and enjoy every moment. Yes, life is precious as is family and love.
Enjoy every minute you have them near.
    Hugs and blessings

  9. Hi Lynda! The photos really show the fun going on and memories being made. Those bugs must be bad. That’s terrible. Yes, our 4th is on Thursday. We will grill some ribs and pineapple along with baked beans and turtle cheesecake. It’s back to warming up in Ohio. It was 84 today and 88 tomorrow. Don’t forget to rest! Hugs!
