I so admire your attitude and how much to do in your house and yard! Thank you for your awesome posts!!
ReplyDeleteOMG--Yu are complimentary---just happy that yu read them--Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. It seems I missed yesterday. Yesterday for me was like your day today so far. It seems I just never got caught up! I was also not handling my pain very well. And we are now in a stretch of hot weather so I'm not planning on going outside except to take Daisy out. I'm sorry the Day Center closed today, I know how much himself enjoys it once he's there. Pretty scary about the bear. My son is in the mountains of Vermont (don't think I knew he was traveling) and he posted on Facebook that a bear opened his car during the night, left footprints on the front and back seats, and ate his licorice! Luckily the bear didn't damage the rental car! And maybe next time he'll remember to lock his car! Have a good day and enjoy your daughter and grandchildren!
ReplyDeleteI am sad that you are in so much pain-- It must get a bit better after surgery----Your son is very fortunate that the Bear did not destroy the inside of your sons rental Lynda
DeleteLynda, that last comment finishes, "Patience is a virtue seen often in a woman but never in a man." I think that's right, anyway.
ReplyDeleteWe all know about mixed up days. Too much to do, things go awry, one doesn't know which is most important to do and what can wait. Sigh.
Sadie's been helping me, so if she's at your house, she is definitely either a twin or cloned.
I'm waiting for two deliveries: Lucky's treats (much cheaper and a larger container than the local pet store) and my new cotton sheet set that will match my comforter (not that I use it this time of year...just use it as a bedspread).
We cleaned out the refrigerator. Stuff that had been there way to long past the 'use by' date, etc. Also sticky stuff, etc. Sometimes I must be in a hurry and don't see what's happening in there. Now I have to take out 2 big bags of garbage (including used litter, waste baskets from by the computer and in the bathroom) and recyclables. I may have to make 2 trips.
Remember the old saying about how 'a woman's work is never done.'? Nothing truer was ever said!
Will check here later, sis. Hope your day straightens out. Also hope Himself was not too disappointed that his program was cancelled.
Remember...your daughter loves you and has your best interests at heart. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie
Oh Miss Maggie--- It has been difficult--I know she means well but--- we get along very well without so much advice=No Sadie was not here today--She told me tho that she was going to your place--Yes cleaning out a frig is not fun--one has to lug all the old stuff to the garbage-- and then we have to drive it to the end of the lake--Lynda
DeleteLOVE the moral of the mosquito story. SO TRUE. Can’t trust al; who smile @ you!
ReplyDeleteSorry that the Lodge was closed. *SIGH* Throws a monkey wrench in to the day’s plans.
Yes, change is messy, dirty, painful sometimes, but . . . eventually things turn out better then they were before. Have to always remember that. It’s not easy when you’re in the thick of it.
I have to remember that, irritating as it is, the kids' advice comes from a place of love . . . just have to remember . . . use what applies, and discard what advice doesn't.
HUGS and hope the day gets a little less mixed up.

Yes you are so right--All their advice comes from the heart-Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda, no biggie as we've all gotten wrong dates, times etc. Sorry Lodge was closed as DH does seem to like it. I completely get "slow" OMG my DH moves at the speed of an injured snail sigh. There is no way ever and never that he will move faster. I have to adjust leave from the house time if he's going.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness..a bear..yikes. don't think they have that in Ohio. Occasionally, one wanders around the suburbs of St.Louis.
Lynda you are amazing and awesome every single day. I admire you so much and your positive attitude.
Glad weed hackers are good to go for a bit.
Kids...they have your best interest at heart.
Youll make the best choices for the two of you if/when choices are required.
Liked the mosquito post. True.
Life renovations..for sure. Life is always changing and we have to be resilient and ready for the next good change.
Hot in St.Louis and headed for hotter. High upper 90sF again starting Sunday. The humidity is 70% so it feels even warmer than air temp.
Take care of yourself. The mosquito attire sure sounds like a stunning outfit, but gotta do what you gotta do.
Hugs and blessings
Marge/St.Louis
Its hard to be in charge and yet the daughter tries to be--and I love her to the moon --- "AGING" problems--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda! It’s hot in Ohio, too! Sorry no program today and you had to go to find out. What a bummer. I took my nephew out and there was construction which makes me anxious. It’s been a week for you and I. LOL Let’s hope it turns out like the meme. Not just a mess. Gosh, a bear! Scary! Hope your day got better. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHard to have our daughter trying to run the house==Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda: Never had kids so they can't take over! I know that as the adult child we certainly say what we think about a parents life. The meme about the mosquito is really good and true. Too bad daycare was cancelled today. At least your daughter is still there. Have a good night. Brenda
ReplyDeleteHi Brenda-- I hear that they leave on Monday--sad they have to go--Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda, I am in control...Barbara has tried to tell me what to do, thinking she knows best since she was 3 yrs old....it has never worked for her.....I listen and then do what I want to do.
DeleteBilly on the other hand never does that, we talk and decide what we want to do, but he has never tried the boss thing which she still does, but then she is a control freak. LOL
Enjoy the kids while they are there.
