Be STRONG!

Good morning--- late blogging--but----  better late than never--Someone said that--dunno who--LOLOL--Son#2  drove Himself to his Day Program--- and --will go back and have lunch with him--(What a blessing!)--I have also directed our lawyer to begin to work on everything--- Son#2  also catches a flight , to his home, this afternoon ------

So, WE ARE REALLY MOVING--!!!- Holy Smoley!!!--  I have a person coming out to-morrow to help me de-clutter and pack a few boxes before the movers even come, so we are off to the races here!--

I will also advise the VIANET people,  of our move as I do not want to lose any of you---make sure everyone of you can keep in touch--

So, that is where we are at---  chugging along--sorta--lots to do---

So --I hope that your day is going well---  that you aren't bothered too much by the crazies--and that yu are  treating yourself well--I must head back into town   as Son#2 has an appointment set up at the lawyers--What on earth would I ever do without this guy?--

  2. Lynda, you are doing great rapidly. I know that there is a lot to do but you are on top of what needs to happen. I can't believe all that you have gotten underway in less than a week since you learned the house had sold. Your son has been a big help and will continue to do so when you get moved - there will be a lot to change then but at least you will have the help of him and his wife to make suggestions and lead you in the right direction.

Hope all went well at the lawyers and that is another thing underway.

  4. Oh, great that things are moving along and that Son #2 made a quick trip over to help. While this is going fast enough to make the head spin, maybe that's better than a long protracted deal ... so glad you're seeing the attorney and that Son #2 is going with you. Having a second set of ears along can be a good thing; my aunt went with me many times when I was sorting out the family affairs after my folks passed and we both took notes then talked about it after the appointments... it was very helpful to me to have a second set of ears.

    So happy for you. Hugs.

  5. It's Kathy. You are making such progress with the planning for your move. I'm so happy that Son #2 is helping you so much! While I have absolutely no doubt that you could totally manage on your own, isn't it wonderful to not have to! I went to physical therapy today - we worked on stairs! Not my favorite thing because my left leg is still kind of weak. But then it's good to work with the therapist because she can point out small thing that I am doing and can't even feel it! That will make me stronger in the end! I'm now going to see her every 2 weeks through December. Daisy helps me with my exercises - she comes in the room where I am doing them to keep me company. Then I get a little Daisy kiss on my hand every few minutes to encourage me! Yes, I am healing and so very happy about it! I hope you have a great day today!

  6. Sis, I am happy to see your blog! And that you have help with everything.
I am sure you will let us know how your trip to the lawyer goes. At least you don't need to drive to town twice in one day, so it was good Himself had a ride with someone he loves to his program.
The movers won't come for a couple weeks yet, will they? Unless you're sending some things before you move yourselves.
Let's pray the weather holds out. It's great here today: mostly sunny, slight breeze, no precipitation.
I already did errands. Was advised to call a Nissan dealer to see if there's a software update that will fix some of my car's issues. Will do that later. There's a different car in my near future.
With that thought, I will sign off for now, and check back later.
Hope you find some calm, some relaxation, some music in your day. {{{HUGS}}} Love, Maggie

  7. Hi Lynda! You are just taking care of business, girl! Good for you! So thankful for Son #2 being so helpful. Sunny and nice in Ohio. We went grocery shopping. Usually, it is grocery pickup but we decided it would be fun to go. It was fun but bought way too much. You know how that goes. How has your day been? So proud of you! Hugs!

  10. Hi Lynda, I'm surprised you find time to blog but I do appreciate that you are.
Matt has been so helpful. and especially with Fred. Matt's a blessing. I DO HOPE he can come back soon.
Glad to hear you have a little help with purging/packing. You can not squeeze that huge house contents into an apartment. Will be a challenge to seriously pare down and let go of things.
There are companies here that drop off storage units, called PODS, that allow you to pack and put in the pod. When POD is full they move it to your new house. You may want to contact realtor about companies her clients have used that price and sell items in your home at a moving sale. After you've tagged whats going with you, they'll come through and conduct a sale for you. Anything and everything goes. What doesn't sell...they'll remove from the house and sell to a pick up company. These sales are usually held on a Fri and Sat.
It's one way to purge and get some money vs just donating. They will block off rooms in your house so people aren't snooping.
It's going to be a huge project and you will need help. Wish I was closer to help you.
Hang in you are off to a great start. You're amazing, strong, positive and beautiful...inside and out.
Proud of you. Happy for you. Hoping Fred will adjust easily...having Matt upstairs should help.
    Hugs and much love

  13. Ha! I always said Son #2 is my favorite of all your kids, and all that he is doing to ensure a smooth transition for you and Himself just confirms it. Take a little time to play the piano, take time to breathe, take time to read. Visualize yourself settled into your new place and going about your day.

  14. Glad Son #2 is helping you with the move and with Himself. I know that is a great help for you. Just take one day at a time and one room at a time. That's all we can do. Have a blessed evening and a good night's sleep. Makes all the difference in the world.

  15. I guess son#2 lives nearby. That is so wonderful for you and your husband. I know I moved out of my house in 2015 and it was a lot of downsizing. Donna_cps@
