I believe in you!

---and I know that you do believe that you are  the best person ever!!-- That dog believes that you are strong-------and you and I know  being "STRONG" gets us thru each day--

So why on earth am I so late posting??_--I was trying to find a mover--- A Lady came this AM who only does "packing" , but I found that  it will be expensive to have her pack-----and the moving companies WILL  DO the packing and their insurance covers everything if you have them do the packing--

-Son #2 just texted me to ask if Dec.5th would be a good day to move---and he and our daughter will drive us down--(It could be snowing)--We are so fortunate  to have their offers and will take them up on them---

So what did you all do today?--Was it a good day?---Are you happy?---- Are you surviving all the Halloween candy?-- It's hard isn't it?--I always have good intentions and then  it calls my name---so crazy!--One good thing--

Little Lopez is sitting on his chair waiting for me here.--  Just so you know--- We do not have snow here yet---  but--it is North of us--and you know what?--I won't have to shovel it---Remember the mammoth snow drifts we always get??--Well, it should be quite balmy where we are moving compared to  here--I Hope!

Appreciate  being "YOU"----because remember DR Seus saying?--"There is nobody who is better than you"----

  1. Hi Lynda! It will probably be best to let the movers pack and move you. When my husband was in the Navy we did it that way. Always, take your valuables with YOU!!! Yes, better weather for you will be nice. Happy you have Matt and Allison on board to help. It was lovely in Ohio today. I made chicken noodle soup, cookies and blueberry muffins. We drove some to the next town over to an elderly friend. Hope you had a great day! Hugs!

  2. Hi Linda: Really glad your daughter and the pilot are both coming to help you move down there. It will be a fairly long drive I think - even in good weather. And himself will probably be better with them there. And you will be better off having the movers help with the packing since they will be responsible for any insurance issues. Good luck finding a company who will move that far. Hugs Brenda

  3. Prayed real quick for you to find exactly the right moving company. :D
Good thing you got a quote from the lady before she started packing! I'm glad 'the kids' are coming to drive down with you when the move happens. Dealing with the movers, Himself if he feels anxious, Lopez and Sushi ... and maybe snow...it's good to have others to share the load.

Today was a peaceful day with a couple of errands. Got the car washed, picked up a few groceries and my prescriptions. I pulled a ham bone out of the freezer and set it to boil for hambone soup. We finally have gotten in to fall weather ... highs in the 50/60s, lows in the 40s, so soup is what I want.

  4. It's Kathy. Since I haven't moved in over 42 years, I honestly don't know anything about movers and such. But no, I wouldn't pay a woman do just do the packaging. I'm glad your son and daughter are willing to come and help you move. I like what the first person suggested! It's been a fairly quiet day for me, although we had our firecracker of a grandson for a couple hours this morning. If I could just have 10% of his energy!!! Wishing you a good day tomorrow!

  5. Lynda, that is wonderful news that both Matt and your daughter will be helping. You'll have enough on your plate without having to navigate your way to a town you've not been to before. Let the movers do the job. As you said, they're insured. I assume they know how to move a piano. You MUST have your piano in your new home. Just think, you don't have to worry about shoveling snow, using the snow blower, having the plow dump snow at the top of your driveway. No more weed whacking. No more going to town to have the weed whackers re-strung. I am just so excited for you. It's all coming together, Lynda. Bless you.

  6. Lynda, I am so glad I checked for some word from you before bed.
You are so busy, I'm happy you found time.
Good that your son and daughter will take the four of you to your new home. And that you have the wherewithal to hire movers. That will really take a load off you and your family.
    Nice day here. Warm!
Nothing much going on. A few chores (oh! Will Sadie be travelling with you?), not much else.
I bought a big bag of little candy bars at Walmart. I haven't opened it yet. We get to sit out in the vestibule of our building on chairs, our walkers...whatever. Get to see the trick or treaters (the tiny ones are so cute in their costumes) and pass out candy.
I am sending the two books tomorrow: Kinship and the first in the series by my author friend. Mid Dec-Jan I can send the second one.
Lucky is waiting for his last run around and bed time. Hope you have having a marvelous sleep. {{{HUGS}}} Love, your sis, Maggie

Had lunch w/a friend yesterday. It was nice.

Glad no snow for you. Hope it stays that way.
