Confident---We must be!-

What a crazy day here---  5 showings in one day--- but--I am  now in a quiet mode--so will get a wee note off to you all-- People  coming in and out of this house ALL day-- absolutely crazy-- I guess offers are supposed to be coming on Tuesday--Before I continue--Son#2 has sent pictures of his last nights buffet --in Brazil, very impressive!I am sorry this is so late---We had so many people arriving wth Real Estate agents---coming and going all day-and each time, we had to leave the house--  Himself did well but was quite tired this afternoon--It makes one wonder if we really want to go thru all this-----

But  I had to get this online, so you do not begin  to think we have passed on here----

We are presently-- "Hovering in the middle"----

I shall check in here this evening--- ----      Please remember that you are stronger than you think---I must remember that also----
Being confident does feel better than "hovering in the middle" and not deciding---

As difficult as it may be, try to separate the emotions from the practical sides of selling and moving before it becomes a mandatory, last-minute need. Lakefield is calling you!

    Hugs.

  2. Hi Lynda, as difficult as it is to go when there are showings.....thank God there is a lot of interest in your property. I hope a great buyer, pre approved and ready to sign is in the mix.
Yes, you are confident, strong, smart, brave, loving, kind and beautiful. Remember, this too shall pass. GOOD LUCK ON A BUYER.
Pilot son does love food lol.
    Relax when you can.
Thanks for note. We get concerned if you don't post. Sounds hectic but good.
    Best of luck!!

  3. Oh, five showings in a day and possible offers to follow!!! Wonderful. It is a lot, but thank goodness your Himself did well.

I remember in late 2019 standing alone in the middle of the family room of my folks' home crying, because dealing with doing an inventory of all their posessions as precursor to readying the home for sale was so overwhelming I could not see how I'd ever accomplish it. (They had been married sixty-five years, so you can imagine how much 'stuff'.) And yet, I did get it done, along with every other hard thing that went along with being the trustee. One thing at a time. The right people to help ... realtor, estate attorney, encouraging friends, and a couple God provided at the right time to help me with the estate sale helped me get through the hardest time.

I hope you don't give up ... one thing at a time and availing yourself of help/services recommended by trusted professionals will get you through. Sometimes we feel we have to do it all ourselves, and don't want to upset/disappoint other family members...I learned pretty quickly that yes, I could do it an easier way, accept help, and that since it was all on me as long as my decisions were ethical I'd not be controlled by any guilting by those who didn't help.

Since you're moving to a smaller place, hopefully you're making a list of the things you treasure the most to take and can let go of the rest. That was hard for me when I moved to a smaller place, but oh how liberating; so much less to take care of.

I'm excited to see what your posts next autumn are about ... after the hard stuff is over, the dust has settled, and you're in the new season of life.

  7. Lynda, you must both be tired! Having to leave (with the pets, I take it) several times a day! It sounds like your home will sell before you know it! Bet you will really sleep well tonight. As you lay in bed, think about what a good day it was...
The photos are great...lots of (unidentifiable to me) food. I'd probably want to try most of it.
Quiet day here, paying bills, shopping, etc. I did something very good, in my mind, I VOTED! One can vote early now or by mail. You KNOW who I voted for! It's time!
Saved that Emerson quote. He knew about the Law of Attraction!

  8. Girlfriend, I recall going through all that when we were selling our house once. I was so stressed I had this pressure in my chest and called 911, thinking I was having a heart attack. They put me in a little room for the night in order to have some testing in the morning. I passed the f OUT and slept all night in that little room. Turns out I was just stressed and overly tired, nothing wrong. You will get through this. Hang tough! - Marti

  10. It's Kathy. I'm so glad that things are moving along, although it must be a bit overwhelming to have 5 showing in one day. I will pray that you get an offer soon so you can move to the next stage. I'm also glad that Himself did well but I'm sure it was tiring for both of you! I love the buffet pictures - your son does like food! It's fun to see what they eat in different countries. When my son took me to Norway all the hotels have an elaborate breakfast buffet. More food than I've ever seen really - especially for breakfast. That was one of the best things about that trip! I hope you have a quiet evening!

  11. Thanks for blogging late. What a stressful day for you all! Keep your head up - even if you had no offers today, you must remember that people need time to consider everything that they are dealing with and sometimes it takes a day or two to decide what is best for them and their families! I would never make an offer on a house the first time I saw it until I considered all my other options - so there is still hope that one of those people today will come back with an offer in a day or two! Hugs! Be strong! Don't stress! You got this!

  12. Wow, it's a good sign that there are so many people interested in the house this time around -- compared to last year when you had it on the market and there was not a lot of interest. And this isn't exactly prime real estate season, either. It sounds as if your realtor will be accepting offers all on the same day and then you will review them together. If it's like it is in our area, you may be receiving some letters from the interested parties telling you about themselves and their families. Let's hope this moves quickly and you can be settled into your new location before "real" winter begins. And I also hope the family will come together to help clear out the house and help organize what goes with you, what they want, what can be sold or donated. You are strong and you just have to trust that it will all come together. Hugs...Leslie

  14. Hi Lynda! Your leaves are lovely! Sunny and 72 in Ohio. It will be 76 for a few days. Such a cool bed and nice for the pilots to rest. I don’t think I could ever fly. Too claustrophobic! I hope you got your errands done and get to relax. Hugs!
