Enjoy yer part of the world!

Sometime soon, I will be off to buy bananas---It is the "crack of dawn" here-- almost time to get a wee walk in on the back road-- --All is well here--

Isn't it wonderful that we do have a "night"--?---  a time to rest our mind?--- You know, yesterday , I phoned a neighbour and was chatting away to him, complaining about all the snow falling from the roof, and the ice on the back road--etc etc etc--It was all bad!---  He replied, "But, there are no black flies yet--and no mosquitoes, and we don't have to cut the grass yet, or weed the garden."---I stopped complaining, because, he  saw all the good points ---  a great way to look at the day--  "Focus on the good stuff"-- --I thought.

So, I'm  off to see the wizard--as Mom used to say--I really am going to get Lopez out , and then "hit the trail"  (another expression of  someone-)--  I will be off to get bananas--masked---

Enjoy your part of this world! -----  Take along a wee hug!

  1. Good morning Lynda. Yes, a hug does help. I'm sending you one.
First Monday of Spring. That snow mess will be gone eventually. The black flies and grass cutting are coming!
Be careful on your walk and your trip for bananas.
Play your piano, sing and maybe dance. Have a good day.
    Hugs dear lady.

  4. Happy spring!! Your neighbor was right that we need to focus on the positive things and not the negative. Something I must remember. Enjoy your day.

  7. Hi Lynda,
I was reading some of your past blogs. Sorry you are having problems w/himself. It is "hell" getting old. Hubby and I spent an hour raking in the front yard. Picking up leaves and hauling them out "back" by the pine trees. Everything seems to take longer to get things done around here. It is 70 degrees, so I am not complaining.
Hubby saw robins - I have not, but our bluebirds are starting a nest and our resident Carolina wren is back and making a nest in the garage. We have louvered windows that we leave partially open and she flies in and out with little twigs in beak. So cute until she "poops" on our cars, but it is easy to wash off.
I was wondering how you were doing with losing weight. I have stayed the same for the last 3 months. Hopefully with the nice weather I can get more steps in. Have a great day Sparkpeople51 (Bev)

  8. I like that your neighbor is looking on the good things about this time of year. We had a warm day but it was a gloomy one. I was able to take Daisy out for another short walk but this time I was really reeling the pain. BUT... we did walk!!! I am anxious for spring to come real-time!

  12. It is good to have someone remind us to remember all that is good when we are only seeing the negative. I try to do that to those around me but am not always successful. I pray that your walk and your trip to get bananas were uneventful (no mishaps.)
Have a great rest of your day.

  13. It's so good to have someone show us the other side of the coin. It's kind of like turning the frown upside down and smile, smile, smile. Enjoy the bananas. I need to get some myself.
