I think I am beginning to love this wee dog!

I'm here--  and--yes, we did get at least 6 inches of wet snow--  and little Lopez decided that he wanted to do his business on the back road, in spite of the snow being over his little wee body. It was pretty funny, because he hopped thru the snow, out to the gate, then stopped, and looked up at me, and it was as if he was saying, "Open the gate Lady, I want out  onto the road."---

And he  and I trudged thru the deep snow, AND--HE DID HIS BUSINESS out there!--  Whatta trouper eh?- I am beginning to actually like the little guy! --Of course, he had on his $70 parka--

We did NOT lose power last night, but it was pretty "iffy" when the freezing rain began to fall--- --so--The back road has not been ploughed---  only a couple of sidewalks, thanks to the Lady of the house (who is ME)-and I had to clean off the TV dish as no reception came thru until I did get the snow off it--Hopefully that is the last storm of the season! And of course it is hair day, whether I get there or not--

I just had to let yu all know, that I FINALLY am beginning to "like" this little Chihuahua--altho he really is the most different dog I have ever been exposed to--so attached to me--screams when he doesn't have me close by--I never had another dog like him!--  BUT--I have to admit, now, that I think I love him! Lord love a Duck eh? Who would think?-

This day only comes once---  so, I must make the best of it-- Hugs----  and --- remember how blessed we are to live where we do!

  1. Oh Lynda,
Lopez sounds like such a cutie. Good for him getting out in that snow to go. We have a chihuahua and she is the sweetest thing ever. Her name is Molly.

  3. I am so happy that you are starting to really enjoy Lopez. It sounds like Lopez has started to understand what he has been taught. I hope it doesn't take too long for your snow to melt. Have a great day.

  4. He is a cute dog but I prefer the big fluffy variety of dog like my 97lb Newf/Great Pyreenes mix. We are having a rain/sleet sorta day. . . eventually Spring will come . . .I hope.

  5. Bet you loved the little guy from the start...at least his good qualities. Everything has a good side and a worse one. Glad he's behaving for you so you can focus on his good side.

We haven't got much snow...but sleet and rain. We had a wee taste of spring weather, but the real thing was fleeting. Hopefully in a week or so.

  6. I'm glad you didn't lose power, that would be awful. And wow!!! Good for little Lopez - I can just see him leaping through the snow to do his business where he chooses. Progress is being made.

  7. All your readers kind of "knew" you'd come around to loving wee Lopez. You have a big heart, a soft heart, a loving heart... and he just wormed his way in, didn't he? Remember what a trial Sushi was at first? Yeah, we could see it coming!

    Glad you kept the power!

  8. Glad your power stayed on.
Hoping that snow STUFF melts quickly.
Lopez, well..we all know how patient and loving you are. We remember the struggles with Sushi. Shes still there. I DO hope Lopez will continue to get it right. He's such a challenge.
So other than not wearing left hearing aid, is there help for Fred's rash?
If you go out today for hair apt. Be very careful.
    Be safe

  11. Just thought I would drop in to let you know that this afternoon I saw and heard some Canada Geese flying North. I'm the lady that lives close to the Nation's capitol of Ottawa. The Geese should be in North Bay soon. Just thought you would like to know! Sweet dreams. Cecile.Picard.Tessier
