He seemed to manoeuvre it better than me-- perhaps 4 legs are better than 2!----
I remember, years ago, when we lived in London, Ontario, and I was in Public School, we had an ice storm which lasted 3 or 4 days. I remember a lot of the neighbours on our street came to our house, to weather the storm , as we had a fireplace , which meant heat. There were no generators then-and maybe too, because we had a well, so we could draw water--our family room looked like a camp site--pillows and blankets all over the floor--The neighbours would stay over night-- I never worried and thought it was so much fun--
I too remember how Dad hated the well-- He was always saying that it had quit and he would have to climb down a steep ladder, into a tiny room where the pump was , to prime it!
The results are back from Himself's brain scan and blood work, and both, showed no problem-
-"But, there still is a major problem, I told the Doctor,"--and he said something happens to the blood vessels as one ages and there was a name for the condition-- so--- I suppose--or perhaps, that might be what is happening to this 93 yr old man.--and--it always seems worse at night--as some of you had already told me--
--As if I know-- I just know that I have to deal with it!----I have been trying to de-clutter this house ----and ---it is a challenge--I saw this picture and it made me realize that this is about the same as my closet---I believe we all have way---eee---ee --too much clutter-- Lord love a Duck! ---So, yu know what I'm doing in my spare time!--*S*

I have decluttered and it is an amazing feeling. I had three bags going as I went through my things. #1 garbage, #2 Goodwill and #3 things family might want. I didn't have a maybe pile and there haven't been many times in the last ten years that I have wished that I kept something. At my age I don't need a lot of possessions to make me happy. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteOH no. I’d rather have snow than ice. Truth be told, I’d rather have NEITHER!
ReplyDeleteWell, besides the vasculitis, glad no other problems showed up. Blessings.
De-cluttering . . . a constant struggle! BUT worth the effort.

PS. Careful on that ice.
We downsized and got rid of a lot of stuff when we moved to NH 3 years ago but I have been trying to keep up with clutter we collect here at the new house. Sorry to hear there were no real answers in the tests they did. . . maybe it is time for a specialist.
ReplyDeleteFreezing rain...ugh
ReplyDelete.be very very careful
Normal test results is encouraging but you still don't have direction. Perhaps a specialist is next step.
Purging is so freeing. Youll.
wonder why you still have all that stuff. Pretend you are moving to a new home half the size of this one. One trash bag for pitch, one for donate and one for kids to reclaim their stuff
...they won't
Be very careful with the ice.
Hugs
.
Maybe you will have some follow up with the doc. Love your closet picture!
ReplyDeleteDecluttering is an ongoing event here, off & on.
ReplyDeleteSorry the doctor could not come up with an easy answer, at least you have a base picture.
ReplyDeleteDecluttering, I’m working through paperwork, mail from bills, paid, but the paperwork kept, needs to be tossed going back years, no need to keep it anymore. Books still waiting to be read and enjoyed. Why can’t we take it with us? Such poor planning by the ones that started all of this. I blame them!
So what these the doctor's answer mean? Is that the reason for the times he goes thru Alzheimer like periods? So he doesn't have Alzheimers? I hate freezing rain - it's the worst and everything is so slippery. Today is really warm but very windy. Tomorrow is a mix depending on the temperature. Can't wait for spring. I'm sure Lopez thinks that too! Decluttering - to me it is the worst job!
ReplyDeleteSo the doctor had no answer as to what this is and how to deal with it? That makes no sense to me. Is it because the doctor doesn't want to think his patient has this disease. It would be much better to have a name for what is going on with himself to wondering if you are losing it.
ReplyDeletePraying you can get a hold of him and get some answers that will give you the information you need.
I am sorry you are having such horrible weather. I am sure you are waiting for spring and the black flies (or whatever they are...). It will be interesting how Lopez does with them or do they leave the dogs alone.
Rest my dear friend. And yes I need to declutter AGAIN!!! It is an ongoing process I think
Sorry about the ice but good going on the decluttering. If you have not used it/wore it in 5 years, likely you never will.
ReplyDeleteHope things go well with himself....get him out when ever you can for a
ride to town....so he can mingle with other people...
Not a fan of freezing rain, here! It got cold again, but seasonally so... high of 32F = 0C here today, but not actively precipitating, so whew! Could be worse, as they say.
ReplyDeleteOne day at a time... brain scan showed "normal" or "normal for 93"?
Either way, hang in there. You're doing an amazing job at LIFE!
Freezing rain is not fun with has a slushy snow right now that is freezing and that's not going to be fun in the morning.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing the scan showed nothing, but I'm sure that doesn't put you at ease.
I'm glad the test results came back showing no issues but I know how hard it must be for you to see Himself have good days and bad. Stay strong, he depends on you! We had snow overnight - poor little Daisy had a tough time going outside before my husband cleared the path again. I hope winter is over soon.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a happy decluttering.
ReplyDeleteThe test results must have been hard to hear since you know something is going on with Himself. You might make some phone calls to a hospital and see if they can give you a list of doctors that specialize in dementia type disorders. You can at least find out if there are any other tests that might give you more information.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the decluttering.
Beth M.
Happy that the tests didn't show anything abnormal.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet when there is no stress around, he is better. I guess we all are without stress and things to worry about.
Hope your ice melts quickly! {{{HUGS}}}
