I love yu a lottle!

-It is --Sunday, March 7th, 2022--
--I collect chiming clocks--Well, I used too--- So, last evening, I began to push each clock forward--reset the time! --and I finished more to-day--It is quite a chore---

-Son #3 and Son #4 , are out here--They dragged their fishing hut in from the lake, as next week, it is supposed to be above zero--I think that all the fishing huts have to be taken off the lake by the end of March--Life in the North eh?---

And there is more news---  Son #2, is now a Captain in the Dream liner plane he flies with Air Canada--He passed his course --He always was a Pilot, but not the main man on the Dreamliner  which is the plane he flies.--He said he only has about 8 more years and he retires-How can that be??_- I remember vividly when this guy was born--

It is a snowy Sunday-- I am so happy not to go to town to-day--  We have light snow falling, and lots to do around home here. This morning, it took me forever to de-clutter the kitchen--  I threw out a bunch of newspapers, magazines, extra pads of paper- pens everywhere--all on the kitchen table around where Himself sits--I remember doing that in my Dad's house, after Mom had died--I put everything away for him--thinking it would help him! A few days later, Dad called and asked me where everything was--  I told him that I couldn't see the table for everything he owned on that table--

He replied, "Well, if I move it, I won't remember where I put it, so I leave it all where I can see it." --And, now our table looks like this!--Oh well! ---There are some days , I feel I am living  my parents life!

Doncha wish?------- I hope y'all are enjoying the beginning of  Spring!--  It does not look like it here--but one day it will!

  1. Oh my gosh! With all your chiming clocks, it must be a time consuming chore!

Nice you get to visit w/Sons #3 and #4.

Congratulations to your DS #2, the CAPTAIN! I sure hope if I ever have the opportunity to travel again (who knows if that’ll ever happen!), that he’s the captain on my flight! Oh my – it’s hard to think of him retiring (even though it’s off in the distance) from your perspective as MOM!

Glad that you don’t have to go to town today. Don’t like driving in the snow.

Oh boy. Must be in the air! Today I changed the tablecloth on the kitchen table and tidied up papers that DS had @ his place. But . . . . I ‘messed up his organization system’. Kinda chuckled @ that one, but . . . he found what he wanted. LOL Men.

Awww, love you a little, too!

  3. We five siblings gathered the day after Christmas 2021 and took a few group photos. Middle child remarked "how did we all get this old so fast?" -- 75-brother, 72-me, 70-sister, 65-sister, 61-sister with the eldest and youngest being cancer survivors. And the beat goes on.

  4. I have two clocks I have to set by hand, the microwave oven (did that before I headed to bed last night) and the car (which I haven't yet remembered how to do... I forget every blasted time and have to either guess and try or look it up!) Hope you have a great Sunday, and congrats to son #2 on his "upgrade"!

  5. Glad all the clocks are set, I remember you had a collection, and why not. Do you ever stand and ask yourself, what time is it? I have clocks here and there, yet when I can’t see one, I ask Alexa, and she tells me. Silly, I know. I keep some stuff on the dining table too, plus my daily calendar, so I don’t want my son messing with it. Congratulations to your son!

  6. I love clocks also. I have a chiming mantle clock that was my Dad's. I remember it as a kid and that is a long, long time ago. Also have a chiming mantle my DH bought me. I also have a cuckoo clock my Brother gave me and it is a real German Black Forest clock where you pull the chains to keep it going. Congratulations to your son on making Captain. I will watch for him to tip his hat when he flies over.
We got lots of snow in the past 24 hours. About 12 inches out there this morning. It has all been cleaned away now but it is still snowing.

  7. My table looks a lot like that these days too. And if I ever put things away I usually can't find them, at least right away. We have a lovely day today and really nice weather ahead but suppose to get snow tomorrow!! I am so ready for Spring.

  8. Can we just leave time as it is now?! Weather here is crazy--Springlike on Friday, 5inches snow on Saturday, will be back into 50's and 60's this week. Can we just be done with snow?!!😁

Fishing shack season over. Hope your boys are well now.
That table would have to be kept more clear...I can't deal with clutter.
More snow UUUGGGG. 60 degrees and sunny in St.Louis.
Have fun setting your clock collection.
