This picture of food was sent by Son#2, the Pilot son, who is in Britain--Yorkshire pudding--roast beef and peas-----looks so good--He is coming home to-morrow--back to Toronto-- I am so happy to have him back in Toronto again! They are 5 hrs ahead of us, so he has already been in "the Sim" there!
Once again it is minus something awful here--but-- I hear that to-morrow we will get rain-- hard to believe--March the 3rd to-day-- Maybe Spring will get here one day sooner than later! Yesterday I shovelled and shovelled and shovelled---and then more snow fell onto the Chihuahua trails--so--out I went again and cleared the trails---so much work--but--worth it, if little Lopez will do his business outside-- and he only will , if the snow is not deep.
This is "hair day"-- and--I look like the above Lady in the picture to-day-Lord love a duck! --And on the way home I will stop at McDonald's and pick up a treat for Himself, for dinner-- As yu know, he loves McDonalds--I bring it home and we cook the fries longer in his Ninja cooker--
Relax and enjoy your time at the hairdresser, you deserve some you time. It sounds like Lopez knows that he is to go outside now and not in the house. Good training it just took a little time. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteGlad Son #2 is home! That Yorkshire pudding, roast beef and peas looks delicious! Had that when I was in London years ago. No matter how hard I try to recreate it, nothing is as good as that one tasted!
ReplyDeleteI know. Spring is trying desperately to get a foot-hold here. Hope she succeeds!
I am sure that Himself will enjoy the McDonalds.
I think of all going on in Ukraine and feel blessed to be hear.
HUGS and enjoy your freezer meals! That was wonderful of Son #3!

Well thought by your sons. Sending you pictures and frozen dinners, priceless. Have a beautiful 'hair' day.
ReplyDeletetaking pictures of food is a "Chinese " thing-- My kids do it all the time!-- Lynda
DeleteOh Lynda, I love to have homemade meals in my freezer! My son's wife makes me a few at a time and nothing beats them. So easy to thaw and heat through. What a thoughtful son to do that for you.
ReplyDeleteWow, that meal of your pilot son's looks awesome. The Yorkshire pudding would be authentic, being he was having it right there in England! Great!
Fred will enjoy the treat meal you bring home after your hair appt today. Both of you will.
Hugs to you both and to your beloved furry friends. xoxo
I wonder , when Lopez is fixed--will he stop pee-ing inside?-- He is a handful-- cute--- but-- LOL-- Lynda
DeleteRoast beef dinner looks so good - love Yorkshire pudding. Nice of son #3 to bring some frozen meals and soup - good to have and will taste good. And sounds like Lopez is getting the idea. Have a good trip to the hairdresser's.
ReplyDeleteSell, Lopez isn't doing too well on the Pee--ing outside thing-- I wonder when he is fixed--Will that help?-Lynda
DeleteEnjoy your trip to hairdresser. You deserve it for sure after all the non stop shoveling. Spring will come.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you have some soup and meals on hand. Pilot son sure gets to enjoy the authentic dishes of various countries in his travels. Looks delicious.
Bring Fred his McDonald's treat lol
Enjoy today, stay well and warm.
Know that you are loved.
Hugs
awwww--so nice of yu to read the blogs--yes, the frozen meals help on a busy day--Son #2 comes back to Canada tomorrow--Lynda
DeleteOh, those freezer meals will be nice! When I cook soups or casseroles I always freeze them into single or two serving sizes ... so handy to thaw and reheat.
ReplyDeleteThey are so handy--- nice to hear from yu-Lynda
DeleteYes those meals sound really good!! Is Himself cooking the meals too?
ReplyDeleteNo--Himself juste warms them up--lots of good soups too in wee bows--Lynda--
DeleteHere's hoping you can relax and enjoy "hair day". Glad your sons are checking in on you and Himself, and helping out with the leg-work of getting those freezer meals stocked. It can be a great relief to have that to just turn to, with no hassle.
ReplyDeleteHi Barb--- Nice to hear from yu-- and-yes, the meals do help-Lynda
ReplyDeleteHappy you have some frozen meals, a blessing. You sure do a lot of work, real work, outside. Good for your lungs. Take care, hope you have something good to watch in tv.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to have frozen homemade meals. When Our house became a two person household I continued cooking the same amount as before. I then portioned it into two meals one to eat now and one to freeze. I did learn that if the meal included rice or pasta, such as spaghetti or homemade soup, to freeze those separately as they get too soggy. I like it even better when I have enough ingredients to make three our four meals at once and cook it in the crock pot.
ReplyDeleteLopez is doing so good. I wouldn't count on having him fixed to help him stop peeing in the house. Question: does he head to the house as soon as he does his business? If he does you might make him stay out just a bit longer so encourage him finish outside. It's just a thought,
Have a great evening
Beth M.
Lot of crock-pot meals in this neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteSo cool that your son gets to travel! I've always wanted to visit London myself. All that shovelling snow is good exercise, I bet!
ReplyDeleteOh, Lynda, you make me laugh!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you...the fast food places never have the fries crispy. I like them crispy on the outside, but tender inside.
Did you know McDonald's coats their fries with sugar?
Those frozen meals we be welcomed, I am sure. We get free meals from a local church on Thursdays. Some of the people here qualify for Meals on Wheels. I do dot...I am over the income limit for that.
Your son loves you a lot!
