Yes you're the fairest of them all!

--"freezing rain-"---all night here --Lord love a Duck! It is quite the mess outside!-- I took Lopez out and he only did half his business --the major part is not happening yet, as he fell over on his side 4 times on the ice!----And poor Beau has not even been able to get out to do his business as he will fall for sure!

So, I have dragged large bags of  salt into the sunroom so we can salt the walkways-- well, not "WE" -- " If it's going to be, it's up to me"--as Mom used to say,---"THE ROYAL WE"--well,  " I "----- got the ice melt out--

The Dish on the roof must be covered in ice as we cannot get one station-- I have CBC radio on both upstairs here and in the kitchen.--

So what else is new?--Well, I started  the taxes--which is so much easier to sort the amount of receipts now that Himself is not working. My goal is to ship it all to the accountant by the end of next week.----  It is all sitting on the dining room table.--- I really really hate doing that stuff!

I do try to remember the above-- or I did--as I dragged out the bags of salt this AM--"I AM WOMAN"--LOLOL---And, we still have "POWER" which  is good, but,  it could go out any minute if  the freezing rain doesn't stop and the temperature doesn't begin to rise soon!--  I suppose I shall not think of all that--

Our daughter told me  last night, that I can order from Amazon big life-size cardboard people -- She has a few of her hero's-- I want one of the Queen--- Can you tell who is real  here? This was on her Birthday--

So, "keep your chin up"-as Dad used to say-- It's a new day!

WE certainly ARE the fairest of them all!

  1. We’re getting snow. Rathe that than freezing rain. UGH. Be careful.

I totally agree . . . hate tax season! Ours are done, and it’s not pretty, but . . . done.

LOVE the cut outs! An adorable picture of your DD with her heroes!

  3. Chilly, windy and dreary here in Central Texas.

A cousin passed this month from Covid complications. He was born in 1962 and was hospitalized off and on since May of 2021, much of it on a ventilator. The virus is getting less press these days but it is still a very real factor in our lives.

Saved the memes into my virtual folder of 'things that speak to me.'

  7. Love your daughter's sense of fun... she must have got it from you! I detest freezing rain, it plays havoc with so much. Our "local" highway had a fatal wreck on it overnight, due to same, and then they closed the road for several hours because of it. So sad for those involved.

Hang in and be careful up there in the North!

  8. Those people are funny. I thought the two next to her were the Property Brothers from HGTV. Freezing rain is a bummer. We had been testing the AC, but last night, down to 39 degrees, heater on, blankets extra on the bed, again. Texas. Took tax papers in, they will do them at some point. I am not guessing at that stuff for sure. Have a careful day.

  9. Well the strongest of them all I guess...........laughing here.
Hope ya'll thaw out sooner rather than later.
We had tornadoes and high winds and heavyheavy rain here y'day...
    Made it through just fine.

  10. Awesome idea Lynda. Maybe you could get a cardboard cutout of the Queen sitting down. Then you could put her at your table and have tea with her or just park her on the sofa and have a wee chat. Wouldn't that be wonderful. She has gotten quite frail and all the talk now is about her stepping down as Queen in favour of King Charles III. Just won't be the same. I had a scrapbook of the Queen. Started with her and her sister then becoming Queen and then the Coronation and all her 4 children. Every clipping I could get from any newspaper was there in my scrapbook. Wish I would still have it but it was one of the things that just didn't seem important enough to keep after I grew up.

  11. Hate freezing rain and ice. Be careful & stay safe. hopefully it will be better by tomorrow although it's getting cooler here starting soon and for the next few days. We got a bit of freezing rain and ice pellets yesterday but it all melted. Watch putting the ice melt down so you do hurt your hand and shoulder anymore or slip and fall while doing it. Your daughter has a good sense of humour - guess she takes after mom!

  13. I found where I ended when I lost wifi!

Indeed, we are fair if we believe we are. We need to think and act confidently and hold our head high to project that. Other people's opinions of us will be in tune with the way we present outselves.

Forgive me. I don't know what brought on that tangent.

    Hope Beau gets to potty so he's not uncomfortable. {{{HUGS}}}
