Every day is the best day in the year-

Sunrise over the Amazon--photo from Son#2, the Pilot--and a big "good day" to you all----Another day--another dollar--Mom used to say that---and it is "another extremely hot day" already--Is this how summers will be  now in the future?---I hope not----  because with the  storms, the heat is a hazard here in the North---I look at the trees around this house and it is beginning to scare me---
We do live in the bush here, as you can see-

So---Are you as strong as Popeye, the sailor man?----  Eat lotza spinach and you will be---I believe the song goes--"I'm strong to the finish, coz I eat my spinach---I'm Popeye the Sailor man"--

Son #2 sent a few pictures from Brazil--I guess Cashew nuts are quite popular there-and---fresh orange juice-
and below he says is Greek Food--
It all looks amazing--
But---back to to-day-I need a reminder--
Emerson reminds me that every day is the best day in the year-

  1. Lynda, short but sweet blog!
The photos of the food are great. Cashews and oj? I could go for that. I got a big bag of shelled walnuts free yesterday. Someone didn't want them and put them on our give away table in the Community Room.
It's good Himself will get to his program. You will be able to get an errand or two done.
That book I sent you the link to (hope you read about it) sounds amazing. It's coming in a few days. I'm sure I will read it quickly. Then I could send it to you...if I knew where to send it.
Will take my wheelless friend to Walmart a bit later, maybe get a load or 2 of laundry done. Sadie will help and maybe with the kitchen floor, too. Unless she's at your house, that is.
Just ran Lucky around with his wand to chase the mouse on the end. He gave out. Now he's meowing again. Just needed a rest, I guess.
It's to be 91 (32.788C) here. It's mostly sunny, too. Weather on the radio says that in a couple days we will be back in the 602.
It was great hearing your voice briefly yesterday. Hope you both enjoyed your Chinese food. {{{HUGS}}} Love, your sis, MAGGIE

  3. It's Kathy. I love all the photos! Your home is lovely. I'm sure it's challenging now but you must have had many wonderful years there. I'm starting to think my home is too much for me to take care of these days! And it's not as lovely as yours. I think waiting for this darn surgery is wearing me down! Working at keeping a positive attitude for the next 2 1/2 weeks! Our weather man says it will cool down by Monday - in the 70's instead of the 90's. Then one of the newscasters complained because we're loosing the "summer weather". Seriously, 70's is perfect! These hot and humid days are uncomfortable! Even Daisy doesn't want to go outside. I took her to go outside yesterday after the rain stopped - we have to go through the garage to get to the back yard - she wouldn't even go out on the step! Nope, she said. I'm not going out there, it's too hot and wet! We went back into the A/C! Your mother and mine had so many of the same expressions! Brings me good memories. I hope your day goes well!

  4. Hi Lynda! The sunrise pic is beautiful! I love greek food and his looks delish. Yes, it’s been very hot. How is Lopez today? Tommy is a brat I got him a nice fluffy liner for his crate and it came today. He ripped it out in two minutes and started tearing it up. I put it up quickly. I may try again in a year! LOL. Never a dull moment here in Ohio/Yorkieville. Hope you are having a fantastic Friday!

  6. That sunrise is absolutely gorgeous. You do have lots of trees but if you decide to move because of that, I would think no where up there would be any safer. Just remember all the rain we've had as well that would help with forest fires. All the rain also comes with climate change. Decision, decisions! Glad himself got to go the the Lodge today with a long weekend. Have a good night. Brenda
