Make someone smile to-day--

                                                                        Good Morning-----
Did you know that I am 82 yrs young?--How on earth did I ever get to this large age, because it does seem like maybe a week ago, I was  just a little person.
There I am---on the left--with glasses on--I was cross eyed---
And here I am on the far  rt-----with all my family--and--now I am old---almost 83 yrs old----- and it happened so fast-----

So----How are you all?---  It is extremely hot AGAIN ----  very humid--outside--The AC is STILL on--- Our power bill will be high !----

I just heard from Son#2 , the Pilot---who is sitting in Montreal, en route to Sweden--and  talking "strike"---seems we all need more  dollars in to-days world--

So, Lopez and I have been out---and  we found a poor "chip monk" on the road--run over--- Also , last night, the huge MR Toad, "Thomas" was sitting on the bricks in front of the garage--We were careful not to step on him--Big news eh??---
My life has become "Toad friendly"---I'm afraid---  Old age boils down to weird things these days--LOL----

But whatever----  I hope you get out there and  make to-day ---Schmorky-Dorky--- and that you make a difference in someone's life--even if it is only a Toad---LOL---Well, not many people even speak to a Toad--- so , you will make that Toad happy!

  1. Lynda, you who also speak to wild animals like toads and chipmunks (domestic ones, too) are going to love this book (Kinship with All Life) that I am almost done with. It is unusual. I have had his techniques work for me in small ways. I will be ready to send it and one other that I loved very soon.
On strike?! Well, they do deserve a raise. Do Air Canada pilots ever even get a COLA (cost of living adjustment)? We always get a small raise on out Social Security every year. Lots of other workers here do, too.
It's cooler here. We had storms last night and more are predicted for today. Sky is cloudy.
I did an online search for the value of my car. Now I have to get someone to vacuum it out so I can take it in and sell it for a down payment on a newer one. I want to get it done before winter arrives.
Must take garbage out soon. Then I am going to try to get this gel polish the nail salon put on my toes OFF. Instructions say to gently file across the nails to remove the top coat then put a cotton ball soaked in polish remover on, wrap the nail in aluminum foil and wait 10 minutes. Needless to say, I will never use gel polish again! The pedicure is wearing off. I want to do the next one myself.
On the strange note, I will sign off here and check back later. I plan to be hunky dory today, and hope you and yours will, too. {{{HUGS}}}, Love, your sis Maggie

    1. Maggie--I love you--I read your comments and sat here smiling--Yes I speak to TOADS--- LOLOL--Crazy woman that I am--LOLAnd Son #2 the Pilot is all excited, hoping his salary might increase--I understand that---These Pilots work hard--take all the chances-- never had a raise--but--the top bananas in the office get salary hikes--and look at him, sitting in Montreal and flying at midnite to-nite and I know he is the best Pilot in the whole world--(LOL) but--I am his Mom so of course I think that--happy to hear yu might trade yer car in -like me trading my phone ion --(Well, not really!)-- OK--Ill look for yu later--have to drive the garbage over--Lynda-

  2. It's Kathy. I honestly think that the technology companies make equipment to break in a few years. My parents had the save television from the time I was a little girl until I was well past married - now my husband and I are changing TV's every few years. What a shame. We had quite a storm last night - blowing like crazy, rain, and thunder so loud it actually made the house shake! My daughter called me asking if she should take the boys to the basement. It was so dark outside - kind of green looking. I guess we had another storm come through early this morning. It's the week of our State Fair and they had to close for a couple hours. Lots of damage in the city! I'm sorry your son has to fight for his fair pay. Honestly, who is more important to us than our pilots! I'm quite certain he probably is the best pilot in the whole world BECAUSE you are his mom! Have a great day.

  3. Love that you talk to toads and all kinds of critters. Glad Thomas is still happy.
    Stifling hot here, 100F plus.
Cute pictures of you growing up and now you are a beautiful woman.
Hoping pilot gets his raise without a strike. I know he's the best pilot they have and Air Canada is lucky to have him. What an incredibly responsible job he has.
I shall be hunk dorey today. I may not get out to smile at anyone as my car won't start. Tow truck is supposed to come at noon. When stuff breaks I'm a helpless mess. I need car fixed today. 3 shops I called said Friday...omg.
    Stay cool

  4. LOL! For sure, old doesn’t seem nearly so old now that I’m old. I am 70 and thankfully, the brain doesn’t often feel that old. And may I say, a REALLY nice picture of you! 82?? NAH.

Yes, the a/c was chugging away . . . til the power went out as a storm blew through. Fortunately it didn’t last long (the outage). We are still under a threat til 4 pm. So it goes.

OH dear. I hope they can negotiate a fair settlement w/o a strike.

Today is definitely Schnmorky Dorky for me. LOL

Here’s to a terrific Tuesday (well, as terrific as it can get!)

    Hugs

  5. You are the age Joe Biden will be on his next birthday... why did I think of that? Seriously, I do tend to focus on anniversaries and date coincidences... tomorrow I will be the exact number of days old that my father was when he passed away. I mean, who tracks things like that? Me, that's who. My older sister marked when she passed this milestone a year and a half ago, and I'm marking it tomorrow.

"Old" is in the mind! You are not "old", because you keep yourself young by blogging!

  6. Howdy! Marti here. Very, VERY hot here in Central Ohio. 97 degrees! I could SMELL the heat, it smelled like hay or something. Won't be cooling off until Saturday, ugh. Well, we are troopers, right? We keep on keepin' on, one day at a time, and then things will change.
