I tell you--having only one dog is fabulous--- When there were 3 dogs, they all ate everyone's kibble--- they all pooped when I put them out--and then I couldn't remember who pooped where-- (I like to pick it up before the grass man comes)- The one dog drank all the water, before I could say, "Johnny Robinson "---(Dad's expression) --the other 2 were always thirsty-
-Would I keep Son#3's dogs again?--Of course I would!--They are better here than boarded-- but----SO SO so--nice to have one dog!!!--
A picture of the grass on the Lakeside of the houseThe small pink patch on the left, in the picture of the pet cemetery-- So many of our canine friends are resting there--
-So, hopefully you are still finding homes for all the items in your life that are totally not useful anymore--I look at an item and try to remember the memory it revives in my heart--and my mind-- Can I recall the memory of why I purchased whatever?--- If I cannot, out it goes----It is a tough job tho-
Sadie is here--- (who is really me!)---and ready to dust a room--- I hope that your day is "Hunky Dory", as my Grandfather used to say---- Oh--- one more piece of advice here--before I go--
Lynda, I probably disturb you lots! I love it...you may not.
ReplyDeleteSadie will do a bit of kitchen help with me today; that's about all.
Got a package from the VA Pharmacy today that was overdue...no other mail. That's good.
Heard from one of my 'adopted local daughters.' She said they have a birthday gift for me. I have one for her, too, as hers was yesterday.
Still haven't managed to get the brakes done. My check comes Friday so I am going to call my car place and make an appointment. Brakes will come before other bills. MN gives us a renter's rebate once a year. That will come by the 15th and go for the other bills.
One dog, one cat...sounds right to me. I always wanted to get one of each as babies about the same age. That way they would bond and be best friends. Next lifetime, I guess.
I've been trying to get rid of 'stuff' so my kids don't have to do it when I croak. It's hard...I give away a few thinks at a time. Some books, some knicknacks...I want to go to one kid or another. Must make a list and give it to my daughter.
Will call the car place now and check back here later. Don't work Sadie too hard. We rely on her! Love her and you, too! {{{HUGS}}} Maggie
LOL--Good friends disturb each other--LOL-It has been a good day--love it--Lynda
DeleteIt's Kathy. We have another really nice day here. Sunshine, on the cool side. Windows open - no rain! It's great! I love having Annie here - Daisy's sister. But yes, things are different. Daisy doesn't drink much all day long. One fresh water bowl is all I need. But Annie drinks constantly and leaves puddles of water on the floor! I have to remember to fill the bowl a couple times extra each day. It's not a problem, it's having to remember to change! I would love to have a second dog but I don't think Daisy would be very happy - she's not that interested in sharing! Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteAnnie sounds like a good pooch--but--- same as Apollo--drinks a lot of water---can never keep his bowl full of water-=--Lynda
DeleteHope the rest of your day goes well, too.
ReplyDeletegood day to-day--nice organized day--I like that-LyndA
DeleteI can only imagine it’s a bit simpler w/just Lopez!
ReplyDeleteYes, so much of keeping stuff revolves around the memories. It’s hard! I always take a picture of something before I donate or toss so I can still look @ that picture and revive the memories.

Great idea Barb to get a picture!--Lynda--nice with one dog----
DeleteHi Lynda! I’ve been going through stuff and getting rid of it. Stuff I don’t need makes me anxious so it has to go. I took my nephew school shopping today. We got iced coffee, too. It’s been a great summer with him. I dread to let him go. School starts the 26th. Very cloudy in Ohio today. Lots of storm damage North of me and lots of power outages. Hope all is well in Medina. I think it is! Yes, one dog is much easier. I hope you have a great evening!
ReplyDeletesorta too hot here to-day--I just walked Lopez-- Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda, sounds like you are set up for a good day.
ReplyDeleteIt's cool in St.Louis and windows are open. Yay loving it. This cooler 80sF is supposed to last through the weekend.
3 dogs is a lot to handle. You did it! Glad you're back to one dog and one cat. The flowers on the pet cemetery are so sweet.
I TOTALLY agree with just stuff. The older I get the less I want or need. Stuff will end up just like described in insert. People's stuff isn't wanted by kids so it ends up in a thrift store ot trash. Your kids will thank you if you do get rid of stuff. Or box it up by kid and tell them to come get it. They won't. I finally got tired of waiting and delivered sons stuff to.him...his response.... I don't want this stuff. When I moved, I purged like you wouldn't believe. Dint miss any if it..not one thing. I sent 3 vans of stuff to charity for their thrift store. I have no collections of figures or stuff collecting dust lol.
The idea of taking a picture is a good one...then pass the stuff on its way.
Hope your evening is perfect. I'm sure himself will be in a good mood since he got out among others.
Stay strong and amazing.
Hugs
Marge/St.Louis
No--They won't come to get it! YU made me LOL--because yu are so right--Kids do not wan the "stuff"--LOLOL and yes, Himself is a happy camper today--SO FAR Lynda
DeleteHi Lynda: I like your pet cemetery. My friend has one as she's also had many dogs. Re getting rid of things. There's only me left in my immediate family, so that narrows down what I have to think about in getting rid of things. My husband died just over 10 years ago and I gave his family stuff that was of interest to them. Sounds like your having a good day. Awesome. Hugs Brenda
ReplyDeleteBrenda--It has been a good day--but--I am still revelling (Is that a word?) in ONE DOG--- yu are husband-less?--10yrs--long time-Lovely weather here to-day-Lynda
